DS shouldn't work in the gates
Straight up. Decisive should not work if you get picked up in the exit gates. It's way too free and the Killer has no other option so there's zero counterplay currently
(honestly, Decisive shouldn't even work once all the generators are completed because the Killer doesn't really have other options at that point so it's not even tunneling)

Nope sorry dude you made the choice to Tunnel you get hit with ds. And besides not everybody hits the skill check so you can either not tunnel or you can chance it. Plus there's always the chance that they don't have ds.

The counterplay to gate DS is playing better beforehand so you don`t rely on double hooking someone within a minute in order to secure a single kill.
What should go though is locker DS. Most reasonable people will agree that`s silly.

Im speaking if you dont tunnel but have to get at least a kill at the end and some survivors rub ds in your face by having you down them at the exit gate and you just watch them crawl out or pick them up and get punished. Its funny though when i have like a mori or something and then mori them when they think they are safe then they complain about moris yet they have a perk that guarantees a free escape at the end.

I don't agree that DS should not work in the gates, because the survivor might have been unhooked, the killer is after them and when they are almost free, they get downed at the gates. Maybe no one else is hurt and the killer has not other choice to get a kill, except to go for the person that was just unhooked, but it's also not fair for the survivor. If they have DS, if they are using a perk slot for it, it should work, even at the gates.

Back then when Legion’s deep wound condition was changed, the Dev said that a killer shouldn’t get an automatic kill. Well DS next to an exit gate is automatic win...

Pretty much this. Sometimes, the only option is to tunnel, however, that doesn't change the fact that it's still tunneling.

Tunneling to me is when there are other options and you ignore them. At endgame, the only option is sometimes the recently unhooked injured person

I literally commented above that you still have the option to go after the unhooker and it is still your choice to tunnel. It's obvious you're running out of justification for stopping an anti-tunneling perk from preventing tunneling.

While I definitely feel the perk needs a rework, I don't think this is it. Honestly, I feel like reducing the activation time to 35/40/45 seconds and making it so it can't activate out of a locker would suffice. There's no doubt the perk is needed in the game: I've found I run into survivor matchers where killers that "camp" and immediately "tunnel" when someone gets unhooked much more frequently than I run into those teams/players that obnoxiously follow you around t-bagging, jumping in and out of lockers, and taunt because they know DS will save them.
In the situations where I play survivor and the killer is doing this, I've found a full minute or ability to jump into a locker isn't even necessary. More often than not, as soon as a survivor is unhooked they go down and are getting picked right back up (or within that rough 45 second time frame). A change of this nature I think is significant enough to curb the "toxic" way the perk is abused--often by swf groups, while also enabling effectiveness in most other situations.

NOT TUNNEL so just let the person walk out the doors for free. He was talking about when they in the exit gate and you want a kill of course your going to go for the injured guy but that's classified as TUNNEL!? the doors r already open so what else is a killer supposed to do hit the 2 hit guy and he just sprints out the door anyway??? (Teabag first then leave) no im gonna try to secure my kill but ds takes effect at exit gate anyway survivors wanna talk about counterplay against killers all the time where is the counter play to that like #########

If you hit someone before they start the unhook animation it’s a guaranteed hook trade.

Most of the time the unhooker has the advantage. They can take a hit and then use the speed boost to leave their teammate in the dust. Plus, in high risk scenarios they usually send the person with Dead Hard to do the unhook... so even if you manage to catch up to them because you're determined not to tunnel the speed boost from the hit and the dead is usually enough to get them out

You can also interrupt their in-progress animation if you’re quick enough with your hit. Not sure what the exact percentage is, maybe if they’re less than 50% through the unhook it will interrupt?

I think all the people citing that the killer shouldn't tunnel and instead go after another survivor are being a little short sighted or perhaps haven't played much end game killer. I absolutely agree that DS should work in the exit gate. Why should a perk fail to work because it's not advantageous for the killer in the 11th hour? But at least understand the frustration. The killer has nothing else to do but defend their hook after all the gens are done and no reason not to go for the injured survivor when the doors are open and thats your best last opportunity to secure a kill. The choice to go for another survivor is usually futile in those situations because a healthy survivor is just going to take a hit, get a speed boost, the jet through the door. It is not the smart play at that point. I do think DS should continue to work. The person that brought it did so for that exact reason and shouldn't be screwed out of the benefit of a perk they didn't use all match when faced with one of the core situations the perk counters. But I understand why it's frustrating and it makes sense that the killer would pursue that person over a healthy survivor at that point in the match. I'm 100% in the don't camp/tunnel group, but in end-game it doesn't make a lot of sense for the killer to do anything else.

So you think the Killer should be encouraged to face camp endgame instead of tunnel?
Plus the trades can backfire because multiple Survivors can activate DS and all escape in the exit gate
