As someone with impaired hearing I really love that...

All the new chase music is specifically in the frequency range between 30–300 kHz in which I can barely hear to do having some hearing issues.

Which means The Deathslinger, The Oni, and The Doctor all are the most unfun to go against because of the struggle to hear their terror radius until the heartbeat starts appearing, which generally isn't until they are quite close. Specifically Oni's is bad for this.

I just needed to rant about this. It sucks because theirs are specifically harder to hear compared to your typical heartbeat.

I have to agree, the TR of killers lately seems way too quiet. Deathslinger is a huge one with this. When I'm on a Gen, I can just about hear the music and usually get a harpoon for the trouble of not realising soon enough. They should either boost the TR music slightly, or lower the Gen noise sound since once that thing gets going, it's tricky to hear anything else around you.

    Just get better ears....

Ok, I'm kidding on that one, and I can understand the complaint. If only DBD had some sort of menu that could help with issues that people have, from FOV to colorblindness.

And I know that it would give killers a bigger advantage, but I wouldn't mind a buff like that to make it possible for some people to enjoy the game.

There should be an option as survivor to hear all terror radii as the default type for this reason, but colourblind players have been asking for options that would help them out for a while too and just been ignored.

Not much I can say to help you there, except for maybe just run Spine Chill to help out against killers you can't hear a TR for.

Yeah this game has absolutely no accessibility options and it sucks. Considering how many people tamper with the game using non-bannable external programs and settings anyway, you’d think they’d just add in some basic options like selecting the TR you want to hear, aura recolours, etc.

They sound the same loud to me. Oni and D.Slinger ofter run MaA which makes them harder to detect by reducing their terror radius. About Doc. He usually have a massive terror radius due to distressong.

FOV isnt an impairment in game, adjusting that would be a literal advantage. Colorblindness is another thing altogether.

And yes. Let us alter the game sounds so we can sound whorr even MORE than before....

It sucks that it affects people in adverse ways when they have impairments, but just allowing settings to be changed invites abuses by those who are not affected by an impairment.

I'm pretty sure BHVR will give zero f to your problem and keep doing whatever they are doing. Stay strong.

Doesn't the mobile version have a visible heartbeat on your character? I don't think it'd take much, or take away anything if you could enable that.

Shame about the hearing problem, considering how audio centric the game is you must struggle with that particular issue quite a bit. Would recommend stakeout though, you'd be surprised how often it ticks when even someone with normal hearing doesn't hear anything as apparently the radius is already wider than the audio que even normally. Can be a good bit of extra warning for you along with spine chill. Boosting gen and heal speeds while helping hit blood point cap quicker so not a bad perk in general but probably especially good for your particular situation.

You can try to use Spine chill so you have a visual alert plus is useful for stealth killers

Sadly BHVR is only listening on one side about this topic - those people who want unique Chase Musics. Others like the original Chase Music more, but over time most Killers will probably change.

I would be happy if they give the option to change the Music to Standard, for each Killer. Like, I get a Headache when playing more than two rounds of Doctor, which makes him not much enjoyable to play for me.

(Basically I would use the Standard Music on every Killer except for Myers, because I like the Standard Terror Radius and Chase Music much more than the unique ones)

Not to mention this "awesome" Terror Radius of Deathslinger...

If everyone has the option to adjust something then it isn’t really “abuse”. Everyone is on a level playing field and has access to the same options, and those options can be balanced around. There are people who use Low graphics settings despite having good PCs because it gives them a slight advantage, should we force everyone to use Ultra settings too?
