NOED on a one shot Killer.....
First of I'm going to start this off with a little statement..
I don't have a problem with NOED at all, all these people complaining about it there is only three words.
DO THE BONES.
Ok, now onto the topic. The past couple of days or so when I've been playing on the survivor side, I've come across killers like the chainsaw butt bois (billy & leatherface) and well everyone knows they have the 1 hit down moves and I only mention these two as it just seems to be them doing this but along with their insta-down the last gen pops and wouldn't you know it they also have NOED or if we got all the totems then I see noed in the scoreboard.
As I said I don't have a problem with noed, I use it myself, my question is why?
Why use up a perk slot with noed when you are playing as a killer with one shot abilities? It just makes no sense to me to be honest.

The world may never know.
But in all reality, people are free to use whatever perks they'd like and run whichever they'd like is the answer. Why? Because they can :) That simple.

Yeah i get that, i'm not saying they shouldn't as you said people can use whatever build they like, it just makes no sense to me and i'm more or less interested in why the guys that do it, do it?

What does NOED mean?
0 -
No One Escapes Death
0 -
can you people stop making threads about noed, its becoming braindead at this point
6 -
It was a questions on why it not a shot against the perk its just a question... if you actually read the thread you might have seen that, instead of just going "oh another noed thread"
2 -
an M1 is easier to get then a chainsaw hit, this is by design + who knows, maybe because its a 1shot killer it might be more suprising when they have NoeD allowing killers to make good use of it.
5 -
I can see that, kinda catch them off guard, and as you said the main hit is easier to get
0 -
the thread literally has noed in the title..
0 -
You'll never get through to them. All they want is easy kills handed to them on a bony platter.
0 -
Two possible reasons, i think - they've got no confidence in their ability to get downs using their power; or haven't found anything they'd rather use on the bloodweb yet.
Either way, it's safe to assume they're still learning, so I wouldn't judge them too harshly

I know I like to use NOED on my Plague, as an insurance for EGC cleansing. Yet on chainsaw killers? Couldn't hazard to guess.
0 -
anyways NOED is broken even Otzdarva thinks so
0 -
Yes, as it was a QUESTION about noed.. all you've done is read the title and not the actual thread, IF you did you would know it's just a simple question, i'm not attacking the perk. i was wanting to have a discussion on the use of it on certain killers.
I would lean more to the no confidence side, but it could be anything.. a couple have been high ranks but of course if they never play as those killers i can see why noed would come in handy with them as learning... and no im not judging tbh, just curious.

I've never played as Plague, is it a good plan to take noed in with her?
I don't think the perk is broken myself.. and i'm sorry but who the hell it otzdarva?
0 -
Because Otz is usually really reserved with calling things broken?
0 -
Otz is a streamer and is pretty damn good at the game. So obviously that means his opinion is worth much more than anyone else :)
1 -
yeah because streamer opinion is fact and that's why I see him talk a lot about how overused some survivor perks are but yeah lets talk noed, survivors only have like 5+ crutch second chance perks they depend on every match
0 -
Thank you. I’m new and not up on the acronyms yet
0 -
Ah ok... never heard of him.
Obviously your right streamers know best lol.. (sarcasm for all you who dont get it).
0 -
No problem, soon you'll know every one of them haha.. i had to use google for half the stuff myself
0 -
Sometimes I use noed with hillbilly and because is not ever you going to have a perfect senario to m2 survivors
0 -
I would lean towards the salt that it generates. Unconfidence comes from being new, so basically all new killers run noed.
Anyone not new is doing it to annoy you, and because you clearly don't expect it. I recommend learning to understand how bad the killer is, and thus gain an understanding of how likely it is they use noed.
As a side note, you don't need to cleanse all the bones. I recommend cleansing the hardest bones to find, generally 1-2 per match, then most of the time you'll be close to a totem after last gen to do a quick check. Easy 33% chance instacleanse. One more totem means a 50/50. I do it every game and still escape a majority of the games. Literally got 3 adept achievements last night doing it.

I never liked NOED on Billy, Michael, Ghostface, anyone who can already do that.
Imagine spending the entire game, dodging, doing well when they get their 1 Shot ability just go do down by NOED.
It's so disheartening sometimes.

So it's because you can't get into the perfect spot to insta sometimes.. i see, i wonder if that's everyones reasoning. I never really looked at it like that.
Oh the salt it generates is just wow lol,
everytime i was in a match with these killers with noed in their build, i never got caught by it myself but at lesst 1 team mate got hit by it and the totem hunt was on and a number of times i had cleansed 3 personally before the endgame.
Although you're not the first person I've seen saying the numbers on the totems, idk maybe I've just been unlucky with the cleanse rate.
The higher ranks doing it, i agree are definitely doing it to annoy you.
It is disheartening sometimes, although to be honest i've always been more confused why it was used. Hence this thread trying to understand.

No ED beside make it 1 hit... it passively increase movement speed when gate is powered...
maybe they want to increase movement speed... quite decent 4% when the perk is active....
with PWYF 3 token 15% + 4% No Ed sure no one beat your movement speed when end game...

I can understand noed on bubba as his power is pretty ass, but noed on billy is just silly. Just run insta-saw instead for the same effect and use the 4th perk slot for something more useful.
Having said that I agree with OP on noed as a perk, JUST DO DA BONES!

Its a crutch perk, for a killer when No Ones Even Dead yet at the end game.
0 -
It's a perk called no one escapes death. Long as a single totem remains on the map, it will active during end game aka when all gens are done or when hatch is closed i do believed. Giving the killer the ability to one shot others. With survivors having no idea noed is active, until the killer hits someone. It also grants the Killer a buff to their movement speed. It is sometimes used in build focus on late game or for other reasons, to give a killer some possible extra power at end game. If it doesn't get cleanse with in five seconds after going off or all totems get cleanse before end game. So it might not go off at all, leading to a killer having to play with only three perks for the whole match. It can sometimes have a major effect and swing the game towards the favor of the killer, when it goes off.

I always figured on the oneshot killers it was mainly the movespeed buff (excluding billy, where its just a waste)
0 -
The flex.
You ever seen someone get downed by a noed, rancor and tier 3 Michael? That is asserting massive dominance.
0 -
No ED Increase movement speed bro 4%.... and with combined with PWYF with max stack 15%... 15+4% = 19%.... even killer have ability to 1 shot... that increase movement speed is very precious to killer...
0 -
Because its way easier to get standard hits? Especially with a little speed boost? What the hell kind of question is this
0 -
After all gens popped you get noed and going to exit gates and then survivor proceeds to loop you around jungle gym. If there s a pallet you not going to down that survivor before other gates are opened.
0 -
Simple: they’re bad at playing killer.
0 -
Oh i actually did that quite a bit back in the very beginning of the game.
I liked the idea of making the Survivors think: "Oh, he's Hillbilly, and he's using his Chainsaw on every hit, so i guess he doesn't have NOED."
Then the Exit Gates get powered and WHACK!, down they go.
