I think windows shouldn't show the fake pallets at all, does it show Doctor's fake pallets tho?

It does indeed... Or not. It's been quite some time when i used WoO, but pretty sure it does show them.

I think it’s fine the way it is. Fake pallets are supposed to instill the feeling of, “throw at your own risk.” Windows of Opportunity’s job is just to show you where they are, not to tell you if they’re real.

I think Windows of Opportunity and its Killer equivalent Xanshin Tactics are really bad Perks that could use changing, but making WoO make fake pallets worthless is way too much of a hard-counter to be healthy for the game, even though it wouldn't be overpowered.
I mean, in its most extreme example, fighting Freddy with Dream Pallets using this version of Windows would damn near entirely negate his Killer Power.

And killers don't have powers/perks that do the same to survivors? Stridor 3 - overpowers Iron Will 3; Plague sickness, negates Iron Will and Self-Care completely... the list goes on.

Perks countering other Perks, or Killer powers countering Perks, is not comparable to Perks hard-countering a Killer Power.
The closest comparison is Calm Spirit but that only negates an aspect of Doctor's power, not the whole thing. I also, for the record, think that Plague making healing setups damn near pointless IS actually a problem as well.
Outside of Perks another good comparison is how a specific Map setup can track Trapper's traps for the whole Survivor team extremely easily, but I also think that situation is honestly too much of a hard-counter to really be fair as well.

Lexilogo, I too think these perks need changing. I think they would be way more useful if the auras persist for at least 3, 5, 8 seconds after the current disabled cooldown event. For example with zanshin tactics after you injure a survivor you can still see pallets and vaults for 8 seconds at lvl3. This would allow killers to get a glimpse of where the survivor could be heading next and start preparing on how to mind game it. It would have the red perk timer telling you when it deactivates. Could have a strict cool down or could become enabled when you hook/down survivor (these could be changed to balance the perk, encourage / discourage slugging). (Likewise with windows of opportunity they could be tweaked with cooldown, in or out of chase or when fully healed). I think zanshin could become a meta perk especially if they add a feature where you have a fainter aura of the walls in the nearest tile. This would give the killer even more information on how to end the chase. I think this could help a lot of struggling M1 killers because getting my first down at 2 gens remaining doesn't feel rewarding, just a slight anxiety relief..

Windows of Opportunity shows all fake pallets (doesn't matter if it's doc or freddy) as normal pallets. There's no separation, so you don't know they're fake when runnning windows.
However small game does indicate if the pallet you're heading towards is a fake dream pallet or not. So small game counters freddys dream pallets (If this hasn't been changed lately).

Does Small Game not work for Doctor's pallet tho?

Im pretty sure it doesn't. Im not 100% sure but small game seems to be coded that way, that it only works for traps (traps in form of fake pallets in this case) that are actively set by the killer. Doc's fake pallets appear by itself while freddy has to actively set them. That's why it doesn't indicate doc's fake pallets.
