Give survivors points when people disconnect

Can't tell you how many times I join a game and someone will either rage quit or intentionally drop so they can de-pip. The killer gets points for this, but the rest of the survivors who's game just got that much harder? Should give us something for this, since the game just got that much harder.

No, prevent Dcing in the first place by harsh punishments.

btw, all survivors DCing gives the killer 2,5k BP and he loses all addons and offerings, seems fair eh?

Problem with your logic is what if someone crashes as opposed to just rage quiting / dropping, then it's going to punish for something that is out of their hands. They give killers blood points for survivors disconnecting, I say do the same for survivors too.

They give bloodpoints to killers because they are essentially robbing the killers of the points they would earn. the rage quit bonus simply gives them a fraction of the lost points. There is no reason to reward your team for the failures of a rage quitter.

Rage quitting is a prevalent issue and simply using a ramp up punishment is more than enough to account for those playing on the moon with bad connections

So? Welcome to ranked matches in just about every single online game. It happens once, you get a small punishment but a punishment nonetheless. It happens consistently (say, more than twice a day)? Then that means it's likely something on your end, now take a long (forced) break which will give you time to fix your issue.

  • The problem with rewarding survivors for losing a teammate is that swf would just abuse it. One of them would disconnect if they are about to die and the rest would get free bonus points. If both a reward to survivor teammates and a punishment to the dc happened the system would be somewhat balanced. Survivors would get punished for trying to abuse the system and the remaining survivors wouldn’t be totally screwed.

Which is why I'm still scratching my head as to why they haven't put in a system that allows you to select a cap on how much latency you're willing to play with. It makes absolutely no sense to put someone in a lobby with 400+ latency, it wastes EVERYONE'S time.

If your internet crashes regularly, you shouldnt be playing a competitive multiplayer game at all.
If you crash rarely you will deal with a small queue time punishment, hell your punishment time will almost be over until you are back in the game.
I am sick of these excuses "punish for sth out of your hand", you get puinshed in any other competitive game for that too and I never see people crying about that.

Killer gets 2,5k BP if all survivors DC, he loses ALL addons and offerings. Even a single common addon is more expensive

Exactly, that is just a poor excuse for survivors that wanna keep ragequitting every 2nd game when they miss their DS

And when we play fair and square, idiots survivors DC when the killer get them the first time. I play survivor today and a lot of people DC like this.
So I don't believe in the "Bad connection theory".

Even so, why playing on online game if you cant'? -__-

killers should get more bloodpoints for survivors disconnecting. you only get like 600. just for one survivor downed and hooked(if they die in one hook) normally is like tripple that. 300 for each hit assuming you are playing an m1 killer. then 500 i think for hooking then 200 for the next phase then 200 for the sacrifice and depending on how long the chase is you get even more
