What's the best changes for DBD

What I feel should be the priority of the Devs should be, New content is great and cosmetics is fantastic soon as I get bunny Feng, but on top of everything you're trying to create, you're building on a flawed system.

The most important thing for DBD is to increase the amount of players, 20k on average is great,We fans want higher numbers as do the Devs, so what is the issue?

Playing on my Alt account, I wait over 6 minutes for a match on rank 18, it's also almost as bad on survivor too, you know things are bad once the PTB times are quicker than the live game.
What is the cause of this issue?
The match making perimeters is all wrong, A while ago the Devs describe the queue system as an expanding circle where if you're are located in the UK the search circle would expand from there over the course of a certain time to find a match, after I think it was 5 min, then the game would find anyone, anywhere and at any rank.
This isn't true, it's not at all an ever expanding circle, it's an expanding doughnut, after a certain amount of time, the circle expands to search for games outside you preferred ping range, and in doing so refuses to detect people close to you and instead prioritizes people within that search grid, after some more time it will expand again, new area is the search mechanic and previous neglected, and so on and so forth, till it reaches it's point where it will take the closest person to your rank from anywhere, so usually on the other side of the planet, so you'll have to leave and restart the process or play against the pace station.

I assume you've all noticed this and no doubt left lobbies after waiting ages because of this fact, it's annoying AF and as I said on my Alt account at rank 18, I can't get games, now I always have the option to switch back to my main, but that's not the issue, if you buy a game on steam for £10 ($15) you expect to get a match within a reasonable time, not wait 6mins + to get someone that lags there ass off, while fully perked and destroying you, this isn't fair on new players and to be honest if I was new to the game coming into the that, game after game after game. You'd get nothing from me except an extremely bad review, and to make things worse it's gone on for almost 4 months or more, getting worse and worse by each reset, this last patch killed queue times for new players, I don't know what was on your mind.

I'm some crying kid, I've watch this queue system become worse over the years. I really hopw this will get the attention of the Devs, I don't want to see the game I love die.

    Good post Liny, and I agree with most of what you've said here. Except for one thing...

    The "building on a flawed system" part.

    Thing is, we don't know what they have in the works right now. They've mentioned for a LONG time now that they are working on a new ranking system all together. But they've also said that their plans for this new system requires a lot of set-up to fully implement.

    The mentioned way back they want a system where once you reach a certain rank you can't drop back down again (at least not easily). And we just got something like that with the change of not being able to drop below rank 15 once you pass it.

    I'm sure that they are CONSTANTLY adjusting the matchmaking parameters in the background. Just not in ways that we as players will ever really notice. Just because it has problems, doesn't mean it's not working as intended. They asked the players a while back if they prefer closer rank match-ups VS fast lobbies, and if I remember right the majority wanted the closer rank matching for a more even playing field. Obviously we have a section of our community that intentionally drops rank to "stomp noobs", and this throws off that approach. Ranks, as it stands right now, are not indicative of skill. But there isn't much the Devs can openly do about that without opening an entirely new can of worms.

    But as you said, we need more players. And the things they are doing now (rapid content/ cosmetics/ etc.) will help attract them and keep current players interested

    My point here is that the devs have a plan they are working towards. They aren't sharing that plan because it's not ready, not because they aren't working on it. Assuming they have this big re-work coming, they have almost no reason to change things right now. They'd just have to do it again when the new system is ready to launch.

    I'd say just give them time. If you have to step away from the game for a bit and come back when these changes happen, so be it. At least we have a certain mustached streamer to keep us entertained with a game like this.

    Well thank you for a reasonable response, but they're a company, they're wanting new players, rank 20 it takes for ever to get a match, I have a friend who is a rank 19 killer because they're a survivor main, it took them almost a full day, I assume 8hrs no more, to get two rank up, this isn't smart.

    The original complaint you made about the system " either rank or time" was from the ######### up of the killer cube.
    lets look at what happened.

    Points system
    Every rank seemed fine, some times occasional lag (MLGA and Pings not available)

    Neg=alot off farmers (wraiths 90% of the time because they're so weak)

    Pos=campers got punished for not hunting and they'd not pip, more likey d-pip

    < Devs seen an increase in farming(mainly wraith) so they decided to change things, also rather than fix the map layouts, they added bloodlust and window blocks>

    Camper Cube
    Queues still didn't seem bad, but with the reward to camping, people got blocked through MLGA and less nooby killers to fill lower ranks, still decent queues though

    Neg= Fair killer that once thrived on the original system still got points, but got punished while campers got atleast a safety for making sure the survivor stayed put

    Pos=Fair killers had to adapt to the change to pip they had to get better, survivors got better also. those that played fair and didn't make the cut d-pipped ( I assume they thought they'd have to go look at people to see how to pip on YT and there was so many toxic pricks there) this shouldn't be here, but it's 4am and I can't be bothered moving it.

    Emblems

    almost everything is negative, campers/tunnelers are rewarded more than ever, fair killers are punished more than ever. almost everyone is climbing, without the point system totems/chests/sabo is useless, so only thing that helps to pip is Gens, Escape and Save, 3/6 things help you pip now. No wonder killers are complaining about gen rushing.

    And with this up coming patch the Devs have already ######### up, Before 2 pallet nerfs, The Game map was a work of art, perfectly balanced, now it's completely killer sided. they also took away alot of abusive windows in this next patch, some of them needed removed, like cowshed, ironworks, but some of the others totally throws the balance from survivor sided to killer sided, all they had to do was add a damn door instead of a window, well not on those two I mentioned, but the others.

    So in what they say, and compared to what they do, means nothing to me, I go from what I see. They're never planning for the big picture rework to the ranks, I try to snipe alot, I snipe at the same rank as those I try to snipe, we both wait ages and then get american pings unless you have ######### net,this is multiple streamers nobody wants to wait ages in a queue fora lobby you'll dodge.
