We should have a timer
I think we should have a way to end the match that doesn't require everyone or escaping or killed, it would fix things like bugs that survivors don't die and even after endgame collapse. Here how I think how it should work:
*The timer start when the match start.
*When active the timer will run 20 minutes, if the match don't end in this time, it will end automatically.
*When the timer ends, no one wins or loses, and no one receive extra points (escape points or everyone killed points) since the killer didn't completed his objectives that is kill the survivors but the survivors didn't made their objective that is escape.
*When all the gens are done it will be added more 5 minutes to the timer.
*When the end game collapse start it will be added more 5 minutes to the timer.

It's basically to prevent bugs from happening, like, I don't know if they fixed it but, there is a bug that the only way to get out of the game is DCing because a survivor bugged on the hook and don't die even for the end game collapse.
Also it will prevent 1 hour matches that can happen if survivors want to play hide and seek

Or... if someone is bugged (and not moving), you could have a 4th crow call on the entity and kill the survivors. That is a simple fix.

I agree with timer. End game..killer doesnt get free kills and survivors dont get free escapes. Just get your points and leave.

I'm with you. Even the idea of nobody winning makes the previous success in the game for either side pointless. You're aiming to get a load of points and beat the killer(or the survivors if you are the killer). Hitting a time limit and it just shutting the game down would be such an underwhelming end to a round even with the bloodpoints I would just feel a bit "What was the point in being in that game?"

Well, survivors just genrush already, and it is 20 minutes, or 30 if end game starts, I think it is sufficient time to get a lot of points

But if a game does run long if I was chasing the final survivor and getting close to killing them and the game just ended with a "Thanks for playing for those twenty minutes! Have fun! 🙂" I would get irritated. Same if I was running for the exit or the hatch as a survivor when the timer shut it down. To me it would feel like the most anticlimactic outcome to a game.
I have rarely been stuck in a game permanently due to a bug and I have played for 2 years.

Probably end game collapse would kill then first, since that when the hatch spawns it increases 5 minutes and if you close it increases more 5 minutes, and if the survivor is wait to you close the hatch, and you as wraith is up on the hatch waiting to see someone? It would take forever, unless you shut that thing and the survivor opens the gate and escape.

lol Freddy Gamers will hate this.
They need 60 minutes to kill 4 survivors with every slowdown addon and perk they can get their hands on.
I like it.

I'm not sure it would work to fix bugs. If the bug is such that the EGC timer doesn't kill the survivor in that situation, what's the guarantee that a different timer would reliably end the match at that point?

It won't kill anyone, it will just end the game

But my point is I'm not sure it would. The EGC timer is supposed to end the game. If the bug breaks that, there's no guarantee it wouldn't break this too.

I think EGC bug is already fixed, but even without this bug I think the timer would be useful, even to just apply pressure. But thinking right now, it would be useless when egc starts.
