Gotta love this logic...
For context, I'm rank 10 killer and playing Oni with NOED, Devour Hope, MYC, and A Nurse's Calling - all tier 1.
Game started out more or less fine, got my 3 DH tokens and one kill fairly soon, but I still only had that one kill by the time all the generators were powered. Fortunately, both gates were on the same wall and relatively close. Sucks for the survivors, but there were three of them and one of me, so I didn't feel like I should go easy on them. As luck would have it, my NOED also spawned right between the gates.
I patrolled the gates for a minute or two before the survivors started showing themselves. Eventually I managed to down two of them, with one triggering Unbreakable and running off into the distance to go find my totem (he found DH, but as I said, NOED was right there).
With NC I saw that the one still in the dying state was being healed underground in one of the houses, so I went there and put him down again. Couldn't find the healer, so I just went back to the gates, but I noticed the hatch was also down there.
Fast-forward to the end, I hooked the aforementioned healer on the hook by the house and the two remaining survivors (now both in the dying state) were there. There were no hooks nearby and both were wiggling, so I didn't even try to hook them. I don't like letting survivors bleed out, but they'd made their choice.
As one of them neared death, the other crawled on top of the hatch, clearly intending to jump in before I had a chance to close it. I waited until the last second, picked him up, dropped him off upstairs, and closed the hatch. A few seconds later, he died.
According to this last survivor, it was my fault that they had bled out (nevermind the fact that there were no hooks and that they wouldn't have let me hook them) and that I'd only done it to "ruin their game". He also chastised me for taking two Hex perks and called me a noob, among other insults.
I informed him that I didn't give a ######### about his game (in the sense I wouldn't go out of my way to ruin it because I just genuinely don't care one way or another), just like he didn't give a ######### about mine, and that if he wanted to be hooked he shouldn't have tried to wiggle free. He didn't seem to understand that killers aren't there to help you escape and have no obligation to let survivors go.
TL;DR: Survivors were downed near the hatch with no chance of hooking them (because they kept wiggling and the hooks were too far away), so I prevented the last one from getting it and he blamed me for his death.

Cool story bro. Maybe you can trade it in for a $1 coupon at McDonalds.

Did you get to the part where everybody started clapping and the president gave me a medal?
6 -
I must have missed that....I am getting Trump presser fatigue so sorry I didn't get to see that...must have been cool though. Good Job!
0 -
I'm not from the USA. Different president.
2 -
I guess this story is kinda funny...pretty much the typical Hex game though
0 -
If you didn't want to hook them, that's your right.
Entitled survivors, and you put them in their place.
Good job though, I Love striking those egos.
10 -
The funny part is just the survivor being pissy because I let him bleed out after he wouldn't let me hook him.
It's not that I didn't want to, I physically couldn't. There were no hooks nearby and we were underground. Had they just let me hook them, I would've gladly done so. I don't like to slug or be slugged any more than the next guy.
1 -
Oh! Yes, sorry. I kind of meant...well that.
It wasn't your intention and some dude got butthurt.
It's the thought that counts xD
1 -
people must understand that the killer is not friendly... You just did the best. You know its always toxic to die when all the gens are powered...
1 -
I don't like the way this is worded. You make it sound like he shouldn't have attempted wiggling free just to give you a hook. It kinda makes you sound entitled as well.
6 -
I'm saying that if he wanted to be hooked, he should've actually let me hook him. He was going to die either way, the method was his choice and his alone. However, he apparently thought that because I couldn't hook him or his teammate, I shouldn't have let them bleed out either, and should've just let him have the hatch, because reasons.
5 -
lol, thats ridiculous. Good to see you back on the forums Orion. hadn't seen you about for a while
0 -
Okay. So they should not wiggle (which gives points btw) and not try to take a chance to actually survive (their main objective) because...? What should they have done in this game? You describe it as pretty much hopeless for any of them once gens were done. They managed to pretty much do the only thing giving them any chance to survive (maybe wiggling our while you carry them to the hook) in this situation and you denied that with the skillful letting them bleed out.. which is okay, do what you want but it’s not your main objective (sacrifice to the entitus is) and don’t wonder when you don’t get praised for this kinda scummy strat..
what did you expect? That they run to you, let you down them and then bring them to a free hook of your choice?
Be happy that you got this super lucky setup with gates, totem and hatch and you got survivors that did not DC to give another a hatch.. and move on.

These posts are the funniest on the forums. People don't understand that, with ranking up, comes not being a oh so nice killer and actually trying to win. So yeah, you had all the right to let them bleed out. Yeah, it sucks but what else were you going to do. You earned it so shRug
3 -
There was no chance for survival. They were either gonna bleed out or being sacrificed to the Entity (not sure what "entitus" is, I'm guessing it's a typo of some kind). My point is that the last guy was blaming me for not letting him have the hatch and for letting him bleed out, even though he wouldn't let me hook him and is not owed the hatch.
1 -
Okay so a No Ones Even Dead yet killer decided he needed to slug to avoid allowing one person to escape, who also has an insta down?
Hey up to to go how you play, bro. But don't see why you come to the forums to complain that people didn't enjoy your play style.
Play some survivor and you will see why It wasn't well received.
5 -
This made me giggle a bit too much.
0 -
I'm not complaining about anything. I found the complaint funny.
And I do play survivor. A lot more than I play killer, in fact, and always SWF.
1 -
Wiggling out and then get the hatch would be possible. And they managed to get downed somewhere where there was no hook nearby (I have yet to see such a position in a match tbh) for this possibility.
again - what you did was in no way against any game rules. But I can just imagine after such a game (3 alive after 5 gens) and then 2 are just left on the ground to bleed out while the killer stands there just to prevent a possible hatch escape. Of course there will be salt, no surprise. And how would he know that there is no hook nearby? Again - you were blessed with this setup!
Enitus is just the German word for Entity - sorry for the mixup.
1 -
There was no hook nearby because I'd hooked a survivor on the nearest hook (as mentioned, I don't like to slug, so once I had them all down I started hooking immediately) and the nearest hook after that was too far away given that we were underground.
I wouldn't have left them on the ground if they'd just let me hook them. You're right, they couldn't have known there was no hook nearby, but if they didn't want to bleed out, they shouldn't have tried to wiggle free when I tried to prevent that. At some point, my hands are tied.
1 -
Sorry but that sounds a lot like complaining that they didn’t give you free hooks and so you let them bleed out because they were not playing the way you wanted them to.
Wiggling is a normal mechanic that gives BP in survival (which is otherwise pretty much 0 if you don’t escape), and even though underground and one hook taken - hooks are normally everywhere and next to eachother. Also you can down them again after wiggling free.
1 -
I let them bleed out because it was the only way I had to kill them, are you even reading? They didn't want to be slugged, I didn't want to slug them. However, only one of those groups was willing to do something about it (namely me, by trying to hook them). The other group actively tried to prevent me from accomplishing what we all wanted - no slugging.
2 -
You main survivor and you play Noed, c'mon dude.
0 -
Those two things are not correlated.
1 -
maybe you should add to the context which map you played. I think its temple of purgation, bc of the underground complex with no basement? Dunno if thats a guaranteed 2 hook spawn down there now, but few updates back it was awful. If someone died on the hook down there (+ basement in shack), you could not carry a survivor to a nearby hook. Didnt really noticed yet, but last 2 times there were at least 2 hooks down there (with no basement).
Well if they clearly lost and still wiggle, its their own fault. I'd rather not wiggle and get into my next game, than being on the ground for the next minute or 2.
2 -
It was Springwood. However, this wasn't an underground complex, just a regular "basement" (not the basement, just a normal one that houses sometimes have; I didn't want to call it that so people wouldn't be confused).
0 -
ah alright :) wasnt sure about the "basement part"
They need to add a hook down there if the basement is in shack. It's a long way to carry and surv can body block the only path, forcing you to swing/injure them at the door/stairs.
Maybe there is one that I never noticed? Not sure rn.

Worse, it was in that underground area full of steam. It's a maze in there.

As a rank 3 Survivor I agree that you are a noob with perks that dont need any skill whatsoever. This game gotten unfair and you whining here is the pinnacle. You should try survivor and tell me this game isnt unfair. Every patch is nerfing survivor. Endgame makes it impossible to get out solo what shouldnt be the case. If you disagree you should go see a doctor or mental institution.
I hope you loose evey game from now on
ur spyonme

I main survivor. Oops.
2 -
Thats a lie since you complained about such an issue and your profil is kinda obvious
0 -
Why are you being so divisive? Just because I main survivor doesn't mean I can't see problems with the survivors. I'm not someone who blindly supports whatever side I main, that's just dumb.
Also, please, do tell, what's the issue with my profile? Is it the picture? I don't even play Nurse, just FYI.
1 -
I smell salt whever someone starts with gotta love this.
2 -
[shrug]
I won, so you should get your nose checked.
1 -
won what?lmfao
0 -
I consider 0-1 kills to be a loss, 2 to be a tie, and 3-4 to be a win. I got 4. You do the math.
2 -
I know.
It is just most times I won't play perks or use tactics that I don't like having to face.
4 -
Your mistake is in assuming I care about NOED. I don't. It's a perk like any other. I break the totems when I find them while I'm out repairing generators, unhooking, or healing. If everyone did the same, NOED wouldn't be a problem any more.
2 -
Was just having a bit of fun, play what you want.
We all know the game could use a few more noed killers!
0 -
Forcing survivors to bleed out is never okay... Unless you cannot hook them. Or they were being genuinely toxic shitheads after you were extremely nice to them, I'd also accept that reason.
I once had a match with a David that reported me (so he claimed) for not letting him escape. He died to EGC because there were no hooks beside the door he kept running to after wriggling out of my grasp. He did it twice and his entire team stayed in the post-game to flame me for being terrible at the game. They genuinely claimed that in that situation I should have let him escape because I couldn't get to a hook. One of their big reasons was so that the game would be over quicker.
They did not like my suggestion that maybe they weren't as good as they thought they were since the lost to Legion on old Ironworks after abusing the absolute shite out if the window and triggering all 4 DS's, the 2 possible Adrenalines (others were sacrificed) and 3 Unbreakables. And they REALLY didn't like it when I suggested that maybe David shouldn't have wriggled. Apparently I was an "entitled killer main".
2 -
If you were to read the story (or even the TL;DR version), you'd see I mention I couldn't hook them. I don't like to slug, takes too long and is boring.
2 -
I did read the story, I don't know why you would assume I didn't. I specifically mentioned the precise scenario... Right after an ellipsis.
0 -
Well, im a crappy killer main so i dont know if my opinion matters much but, from what I read? The survivors put themselves in an unwinnable situation but wanted the escape because it was "earned" by you not having any hooks, the flame was hilarious and I hope you keep playin the way you wanna play👍
2 -
To me, the way you wrote it made it sound like those situations hadn't happened in this case.
To be fair, only most of the situation was their fault. They obviously weren't responsible for the gate spawns, but they were responsible for not breaking the totems and letting me have both NOED and DH.
2 -
I don't get how them being down in a hook dead zone means they're pretty much dead. If anything, they still have a chance due to the fact you can't make it to a hook. I also don't get how you not being able to get to a hook would drive them to just allow you to bring them to a hook. They saw a chance and they tried to take it. You, however, just decided they didn't have a chance and in the process denied them the chance to at least get some more points but at most get through the hatch that they found and (I can't claim to know what they were doing but I presume) went down near so that one could get the hatch.
Letting somebody bleed out is at worst an accident due to not being able to find them on the ground and at best a fun punishment for those cute lil toxic survivors that wanted to be cheeky. I really don't see many other reasons to let people bleed out and this doesn't seem like one.
Then again you do you man.
1 -
You sure showed those pesky survivors who's boss. Your gold star is being delivered to you as I'm writing this.
2 -
They were dead because no killer who's actually playing for kills is just gonna let them go free. They were all down, they were done. No DS, no Unbreakable (besides that one guy who'd already used it anyway), nothing.
I'm not saying they should allow me to carry them to a hook, just that if they wanted to be hooked, then perhaps letting me hook them would be the best option. They didn't want to bleed out any more than I wanted to let them bleed out, but they chose that option by not letting me carry them to hooks.
To put this in a simple analogy, say you wanted cookies. Your parents want to give you cookies. You do everything in your power to stop them from giving you cookies. Is it your parents' fault that you didn't get cookies?
1 -
Thanks, but I already got a presidential medal.
0 -
Damn you play for kills? And here I thought it was about the friends we made along the way.
But in all seriousness, you can't expect people to not get pissy when you let them die slowly on the ground, acting like you're doing them a favor. You can play however you want, I would just ask you try to really think about how your gameplay could hinder others' experience cuz not every survivor sees himself and his last teammate downed and says, "Oh brother, I just want to end the match already." Especially ones who clearly don't wanna let you hook them and are right next to hatch *alongside* his teammate.
1 -
The hatch wasn't happening, that was a given. If I wanted either of them to get the hatch, I wouldn't have tried to hook them. If he didn't want to be hooked, the only other mode of death was bleeding out. Not my favorite, by far, but those were the options.
