Game hostage serious problem
First I want to honest be grateful to You devs, because you continue working so much to make the game more enjoyable for the players, balancing and adding new content for us, and for the health of your game. Go on on this well please. However, like the title said, I want to report again this very infamous problem. 1/10-15 match playing killer, when remain only two survivor in game, cause I kill the other two, and they make no More then one or two gens, begin the nightmare. They dont find a key, so they drop the idea of making gens, because they know they lose, BUT THEY DONT ACCEPT THAT. So they start playing an UNACCEPTABLE, for an online game in 2020, HIDE AND SEEK GAME, hoping I or the other surv will disconnect (and take the penalty) and taking the hatch. I hope you honestly find a solution, because stay in a just already finished game, for minimum 15-30 min, locked and ROBBED of your time having no fun doing walking simulator (find the blendette in the bushes/grass, when you know you can use better your time doing other things or going next match, but you cant because of penalty, just SUCKS. When I play surv I NEVER Imagine to do such a boring kid thing. PLEASE JUST FIND A SOLUTION AND FIX IT, THANKS.

Happened to me, i killed 2 survivors and there were 2 gens left on only one side of the map. I patroled them for like 3 min with no progress on neither of them. So i just went afk for half a min in a corner so they will come out from their hide spot... They didn't.. After 7-8 min of searching the map for them, i found one, he was standing in a building, spamming emotes so he won't get grows, downed him, killed him and the other one got the hatch.
They should remove the ''ability'' to disable the afk crows just by spamming emotes.

I think if any game has a situation that is so one-sided that there's nothing for one team to do, then it should just end. No game should have a situation where people are just wasting time in it.
Maybe the solution to this is for the killer to open the door? But have them be buffed or compensated in some kind of way to make it fair.
It's a tricky thing to suggest since there are many endgame perks, and stacking a multibuff like that might not leave any hope for survivors anyway. But...it's not easy to down survivors at full health running for the exit gates, and it wouldn't be good to take a match a killer was winning and turn it into only a half-win because some survivors wanted to just waste time.

Like the honest post. However I'm sorry bust I must add that the responsability for that is of the devs, that maybe can think it Is ok cause rare and reportable (doubt they do Anything, instead I think system will give peanalty if the killer DC). I know that situation can be funny for a survivor, like a forbidden unpunishable revenge to the killer for winning to fast or chosing a certain killer/build. But 15/30 minute ROBBED for such a kid revenge situation is UNACCEPTABLE. However, to answer the other users, I think devs must implement aura reading every 5 minutes after when a generator is not completed or something similar crows notification when afk. 5 minutes of doing nothing then totems or chests or worse really nothing (gesture, urban evasion, gen tapping and run, hide across the map) is comparabile to afk, cause game does not progress naturally to its end, so it is hostage.

Couldn't you use Whispers to locate the survivors? Or Iron Maiden if they are locker hopping? Or let them start working on a gen to bring them out and give them hope? You have options. I do agree with the removing ability to spam emotes to prevent crows, you should atleast have to be moving around. Definitely no to free aura reading, maybe make that a perk but getting it because you're running between 3 gens where the survivor can't get more than a tap in is ridiculous. Killer is keeping the game hostage not allowing the survivors to work on the gens as much as the survivors for not working them. The only times I've seen this happen is when the survivors were trying to work gens and the killer would chase them away from the gens then run back to stop the other survivor. At some point they can only get taps in, if at all, because the killer won't let them near.

Simple fix. If your not contributing to the game after said amount of time, your automatically revealed to the killer for x amount of time. I've had this happen multiple times, and it's complete BS. And whispers doesn't do #########. Just let's you know there within such and such. Still like trying to find a needle in a haystack on some levels.

I have run iron Maiden for the Tome challenge and it Was useless. Whispers can be a top counter, and it Is also a nice perk, but Honestly I dont want to run it every game changing my builds only for game hostage sorry, cause it is not a tactics, but a re portable abuse. And no, I dont take game hostage preventing survivor by doing gen. Because patrolling all the Big pantry, with only one gen done with Oni with no power (I found useless use it to patrol in that game, because they do Not doing gens) is not stop survivor doing gens. Same identica situation with nurse on blood Lodge, and huntress on the game (remember, two floors).

Or making the killer open the Gateways, like said up by another user. I dont do It when play surv, but if you Don't like the game you can chosen to Die on the hook to stop your game. Why killer cant do? However do Not doing gens is to not do the objective and refuse to let the game continue. Ok Serch for key in the chest, but do hide and seek cause one surv can find the hatch, if the killer doesnt close it is to not Accept de feat in first place, cause you cant finish the objective, so you lose. Hatch is RNG not an Objective. You Did well if you Do gens, not for luck of taking the hatch, you Do Not win. Sorry but change my Mind. However I know slug can be not fun, cause the bleeding is long. But you have unbreakable and other perks. I always abuse Decisive+unbreakable combo. Also my team Mates can help me, and if we Go all down I use the combo or Accept defeat, cause we Do bad to go all down at the same time. You have to pay attention, not only think of gens.

If it's not worth adding Whispers to change your build then it can't happen nearly enough for needing them to make adjustments giving you free aura reading/survivor locations or some other way to punish survivors. If survivors have given up doing gens it's because you weren't letting them get more than a tap in and were cutting off the chase when they'd get too far from the gens. You are also holding the game hostage. Just as you don't want to let the survivors finish that one gen they don't want to just give you the kill. You are both responsible for the stale-mate. The only solution would be the game just ends at stale-mate, they get escape points and you get sacrifice points - not punish a side.

If it gets down to the last 2 survivors and they want to screw around wasting the killers time then they should automatically be killed by the entity and get 0 bps.

No no sorry my bad. I absolutely dont get aggressive, and I apologize if seems so, but no. It's Not a serious thing, is a game. And I went disappointed when play is not fun/fair. Because when I play I want fun or challenge. But I think gaming hostage is not fun. You Want to go next game or do something else, like people who Do bad and DC, but you are stacked, blocked in a finished game dping walking simulator. Simply not fun at all.

Sorry but I absolutely personally do Not agreement. When I play surv and other surv DC and there are 3 or more gen to do I simply start do a gen, because maps are big and two opposte gen can be very distant. If I ear the killer ok, I maybe go to hide or to a good pallet, but when hè goes away I restart do gen. i dont give up, I play to have fun, not to be stacked to a dead game. If I do the gen well, if hè chase me and hook well, I addio de feat, I must play/loop better, and go to another game. Patrol is an objective for the killer, to preventiv surv doing their Object and kill them. Sorry, but I disagree with your opinion.

Why should I have to spend 20 or 30 minutes trying to find a holes that dont want to finish the game but waste my time and ruin my fun by hiding emoting to avoid crows.

Patrolling gens and killing is the objective but you need to do it smart to draw out the survivors if you won't use Whispers - you shouldn't get free survivor location when you refuse to use one you already have. If they can only get a tap in before you come back they aren't going to work the gen - you've scared them into hiding rather than giving them hope which would make them take more risks. If there's 3 gens left let them finish a gen, or atleast work one a bit, to get their location. You have options to draw the survivors out for a chase.

Dont even compare the 2 camping and tunneling aren't against the rules holding the game hostage is. Camping and tunneling also requires playing the game so even if it sucks on the survivors end they can at least get the next game.

Man I literally have dinner and return to game and they do nothing. And I understand that surv want to troll/have fear because I am performing well with the killer amd want the hatch. But like me and other users says that is game hostage, and is reportable. Doing NOTHING is to stop the natural going of a game, based on survivor DOING GENS, being chase by killer, looping, hook save/saved, escape by hatch/gateways or Die.

Again, if it's happening THAT often to you change up your playstyle because I rarely ever see it as survivor or killer. Also, if bannable just report and get them banned. If they can't play then that's the solution to the ones that do it to troll. No need for extra killer buffs.
From my experience if survivors aren't finishing gens it's because the killer chases them away and ends the chase if they get too far from the gens. The killer keeps the survivor from being able to do anything aside from just offering themselves up for sacrifice or hide because the Killer refuses to chase them for more than a few seconds for fear the other survivor may touch a gen. I've jumped in/out of lockers where killers stopped chasing me and they refuse to come get me because it's too far from the gens. The survivor is unable to do anything else because of the killer, but the killer is considered to be "patrolling". I don't run into it as killer because I let them work gens so they think they have a chance rather than hide - I might have a 3 gen situation but I'll continue chasing one and let that last gen get finished instead of spending 20 minutes doing 5 second chases trying to block them. Killer is just as responsible for a stale-mate as the survivor.

That is a different thing. Playing killer you have to make decision, and continue a chase to get an hook is a decision, to stop a chase because wasting too much time at looping and risking gens is another decision. Is a time besed decision. Refuse a chase or decise to tunnel are strategy (also irritating actions from both sides can change the play style). I just hope devs take actions against the player I reporter for game hostage, but honestly I prefer if they do something to preventiva it, I dont request killer Buff, but solution for game hostage. And no, I dont think perks are the only solution for game design problems.

With Camping you have the ability to leave by dying on hook so you can get to another match faster and if you are tunneled you will definitely get to setup another match but you holding me hostage leaves me stuck unless i dc then i have to take a penalty they are no where near the same. And yes that was a big run on sentence.

Face camp is not fun is just real. But Except for some killer (Bubba, hag, an soo on) that ottenere obligate you for an hook change, is a poor strategy, only good at last hook for confirm a kill and prevent 4 surv to gen rush. And has soo many counters: gen rush, bordo time, decisive when un hook, sabotage, body block and soo on. The only think maybe is change Bubba, because he need le rework. Un fun to play and to play against.

Yes, as killer you have choices and if your choice of strategy is preventing the survivor from being able to do anything to progress the game aside from walking up and letting you kill them that strategy is preventing the game from progressing. A killers choices influence the survivors play causing the stale-mate. Again, if it's happening to you this often your choice of strategy is probably causing it and you should change up your playstyle.
You did suggest killer buffs like free aura reading which would be terrible because of the way killers will prevent survivors from being able to do anything, they'll basically be guaranteed free information without using a perk slot. They ended the last man/hatch stand off by making the hatch appear, letting killer close it to trigger EGC and power the doors. They'd need something similar to that which doesn't give either side a buff/guaranteed win. The idea to open a door starting EGC would be a way to end it, although they would need something like no chases/gens for x amount of time so it wouldn't just be killer opens it after being run for 3 gens or their Devour Hope was cleansed at beginning of game and they don't want to bother with full match.

It Is Connected. If I dont play smart by make decision on chase to down a surv with the risk to concede a gen, or not chase but patrol and only make injured the surv, so they can lose time healing and gen regress, I will Be automatically gen rush. And if you suggest me be gen rushed or gift gen to evitate game Hostage simply not. However, mine are only suggestions to devs, that I hope they like always read the community, but our ideas need testing and balance. And no, I dont want to make more difficile for survivor to escape by hatch, but simply prevent game hostage when hatch cant Spawn because the two surv remaining have not do the 3 gens needed for 2 surv Spawn hatch. Also resolving the problem will regole the empass and making the hatch escape for one of the two surv faster, if the killer doesnt want to slug, other case when this solution is not obvioisly needed.

Your fear of being genrushed is causing you these stalemates though. If you killed 2 survivors already you can get the 3rd by giving up one of three remaining gens. That last survivor will need to choose helping that 3rd survivor or escape. You're choosing stale mate over a single survivor possibly gen rushing 3 gens on their own while you chase another survivor.

Again, sorry but not agree, change my Mind. Playing aggressive to be not gen rushed. But against good team if they want they can gen rush me, so I must capitalize time if I dont want be teabahgged at exits. So I risk killing more then one people and close the game. Also is not my fault if they play bad and got 3 genned, or if after kill 2 I patrol, but they di nothing, I go dinner and after 15 min of me RESOPOND TO AFK WITH AFK, they got nothing, only doing statue in the tall grass. Also if they Do ONLY ONE GEN, i can give up one or two gen why not, but THEY DO NOT WORK GEN, SO IT IS IMPOSSIBILE, EVEN IF I TOOK AWAY THE GAMEPAD AND GOT DINNER! Hope it is clear this Time.

Unless you're messaging them that you're grabbing a bite they don't necessarily know you went AFK. Maybe they went and got dinner because for 15+ minutes they couldn't get to a gen because your patrolling wasn't allowing them to touch the gens. Your aggressive play is working in the sense you're not getting gen rushed because the survivors can't touch the gens. But your aggressive play is working more against you than for you if you keep finding yourself in this situation. Once you're down to two survivors with multiple gens you can pull back a bit to let them think they have a chance so they don't avoid you and go into stale mate. Just like you need to know when to end a chase in beginning of the game you need to know when to back off from patrolling when you're down to last couple survivors to draw them out.

Ok all understandable. AFK because the game is "decided" yet, and instead of have fun and play the game, breaking the rules and game hostaging. I disagree. Escape is not an obligation. Ok, maybe if yoi are a survivor in a "decided" Yet game you Don't Accept it, but thats it. Killer has to do Pip like You, you can also play and get points from be chase, even if escape in that situation is not problable. Be in chase is for me more fun than press a button on chase or play statue in grass at corner maps. Personal opinion. Also hatch esiste, so one of the two can get points and the hatch if play WELL. But some player simply doesnt Accept defeat, because they think they are too strong , so when lose DC or start playing not honest.
