How did this person escape
I was playing a game just now and I was about to hook someone and i was near the hook and they dced then a second later the person had escaped and there was 5 gens still left and the person didn't have a key. And there was no indication that the hatch was spawned. So I'm salty and confused.

Maybe didn't completely D/C. Something to do with lag? I dunno. Hard to tell without video bud.

I mean maybe someone you killed dropped a key or he got one from a chest and it got used up. Or maybe it just said he escaped and he didn't.

But wouldn't it have had the key at the end screen if he used it to escape or am I wrong

Oh yeah,that's right. Forgot you keep depleted items. Plus the collapse would've triggered. Plus there weren't enough gens on to even use the key. How many people were left? I'm thinking it was just a display error. Like instead of the D/C thing it showed the door. Did you see if he got any points?

He got 11k points and it displayed the door in game and the after game menu

And it was after the other person DCed so 1 or 2 technically
