Yeah, honestly, I don't feel like we needed another, "Just do ######### in the killers face because he can't punish it." perk.
I suppose that the meta of, "Screw everything else, don't even bother hiding or using perks that do anything else, just do gens and let the killer smack you because who cares." is never going to change, so we might as well get used to it.

I view it as more of an anti-slugging/anti-tunneling perk. Chances are if someone's left on the ground for extended periods of time, it's either the last 2 people alive, or the killer is waiting out a D-strike they think might be coming. You can avoid this perk entirely if you just hook the person instead of slugging them, and if they have D-strike, it really is best to burn that sooner rather than later.

Im sorry @Peanits while i do think we should wait and see how it plays. There are way too many second chance perks as it is and i think we might just see it as part of the meta :/

The " recover fully from the dying state when cursed by a hex" part sounds more overpowered to me than the endurance effect.

Yeah, but that's the game we've got right now.
It's funny, the "casual" game and the "high-end" game are drastically different things. People walk into the game thinking that survivors should be hiding, should be careful, should be trying to not get injured and whatnot...
Then the high-end game is, "Just get hit, it doesn't matter, the killer is going to have to slap you 7 times for a single hook anyway. Go do the gens fast and get to EGC where the perks get REALLY crazy."

There is always another option. It's called not being stupid. Unless you're the only non-slugged Survivor, in which case you've lost anyway, there will always be something to divert the Killer.

Fun Fact: If you don't immediately go after people who were just unhooked or picked up off the ground, you end up making their DS, BT, and SG completely useless! It's like you get to delete a perk slot from the survivor!

Chances are - people won’t waste two perk slots on second chance perks like that.
you can also see when a survivor wants to be downed because there’s a difference between how they play. Idk, IMO, read how the survivor plays to understand and predict what they might be doing

If it was a killer perk I'd expect massive changes before release. It's a survivor perk though so rolling unbreakable and alternative borrowed time into one perk is probably here to stay. Ugh

Regardless of what you do it'll make things more difficult for survivors. Let's say you've got a match where everyone is still alive. Someone goes for the unhook. You down the person who was unhooked, and chase after the rescuer. That means unless the survivor is cursed or they have no mither or unbreakable, someone will have to come rescue them. That means out of 4 people, only one person is working on a generator. And if they want to heal them to full, that's more time where those two still aren't working on a generator. That's not a bad position to be in.

Missed the stream but it sounds like a one time use though it is just another perk to synergize with unbreakable just like Tenacity. Though depending on the timer before getting healed and hit it could easily be abused near endgame.

It doesn’t seem that broken though? It’s only active if a killer is using a hex and the survivor is affected by it. Seems more like a counter to end-game killers with things like NOED.

While I like survivor build diversity possibilities when I play survivor both effects soul guard is simply put unneeded at this point.
Lets get the elephant in the room out of the way: Its hex hate part shouldn't exist as nearly all hexes are already bad perk and making it so they can literally empower the survivors makes the weakest perk category even weaker.
For soul guard's main effect its simply put way too long(Should be at longest 5 seconds) for what it en-tales sense slugging is expose to be the counter to 2nd chance perks and this is a major infinite use counter to slugging with no draw backs.

It lasts 8 seconds, it's nothing. It will be useful only in very very niche scenarios or with a whole dedicated build.

- 8 seconds is half of BT, which is already easy to work around. This effect is only useful in niche endgame scenarios or if the killer chooses to let it activate.
- I agree it should have a requirement or limitation to make it less of a catch all perk.

So you can't slug with Third Seal against a squad with this perk. Uff.

If you 99 a medkit and go from injured to heal during a chase, you basically get 3 health bars(If you use when they killer is about to hit you). 4 with dead hard.
Also if you are cursed (noed,ruin, third seal,etc) you can recover from dying state in front of killer and get endurance. Goes perfectly well with decisive.
