Switching to PC from Console, any PC experts that could help out?
Hello! New to the forum but have been playing DBD for a couple of years on console and looking to switch to PC. I am completely overwhelmed by the options regarding which type of PC to go for as I have no experience what so ever with them (usually just use laptops and tablets ect), so I'm curious to see if there is anyone here that could help out?
The reason I am asking here instead of on a PC forum is DBD is pretty much the only game I play so I'm just for a PC that would very comfortably play DBD on max whilst also being to livestream at 720p 60fps and when not streaming also being able to record at 1080p 60fps. I have around 1k budget and I know that I'd get a much better bang for my buck if I built my own, however with no experience I think I'd prefer to go with a pre built.

Go for a desktop, laptops are not cost efficient, wait for the ddr5 and go for a nice amd processor.

You'd need a fairly powerful laptop to run DBD that comfortably, it's not a very system-friendly game. 1K might be a bit optimistic, but then again I don't know what country you live in so I'm not sure how much that will actually get you.
As LegionAbuser stated above, a desktop is usually the more powerful and cost-efficient solution if you can manage it. Is there a reason why you need the computer to be super portable?

Not an expert, but i've built my own pc for <1k 2 years ago. Now the parts should be cheaper and you'll definetely get more bang for your buck with a PC over laptop and building it yourself. The two most important parts will be graphics card (GPU) and processor (CPU).
For GPU, look for AMD RX580 or for GeForce GTX 1060. They're cost efficient and run most games well.
For CPU, AMD Ryzen 1600 is great, but a Ryzen 2600 should be almost the same price now.
You could probably build a PC for around 600-700 bucks this way. You'll find youtube videos on how to build them. Its not hard, just a bit time consuming.

Even with all the best options minus it still seems much cheaper than what something like this would cost elsewhere, what is the catch?

I think for now I'd prefer to go with a pre built for now as it'll be my very first desktop PC although as I get more familiar with them I will most likely build my own one for my next PC. Thank you for the suggestion though.

no catch my gamer pc was off ebay i payed £500 for it, i dont know what DBD Is like on it as i only play on console, always remember you get what you pay for.

Seems like very good value then, although I'm not sure it would be powerful enough for streaming and playing. Also, the link you sent for the alienware one says it's unavailable and the rest of them are way more expensive for a less powerful one.

Building a PC isn't really hard to do these days. Motherboard connectors are color coded and/or text coded, there are tons of good tutorials on YouTube like Linus Techtips. Putting in processor is the only thing to worry about. Triplecheck you get it right in the socket so you won't bend any pins, then apply correct amount of thermal paste. Building PC from parts usually is a lot cheaper than buying pre-built. Especially if you have patience to wait for discounts on parts which happen quite often. I suggest getting a tower with proper built-in intake and exhaust fans.
