The Possibility of a The Last Of Us chapter.
I would love to see The Last Of Us and dbd collaborate in the future. I also just love the thought of Joel in dbd. I couldn’t really think of a killer they could add from the game though.

I doubt Sony would allow those characters on other systems and I doubt BHVR would have a system exclusive Chapter.

I believe BHVR could find a way to get around that. But it does make a lot of sense that Sony would do something like that.

BHVR could not get around that at all. The Last Of Us is one of those extremely important franchises that are a system exclusive for a reason. They are supposed to draw people toward their platform not push people toward other services like Steam on PC.
Games like the Last Of Us, God Of War, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Marvel's Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, etc. are all defining games and franchises that make the Playstation such an attractive console and Sony has carefully and meticulously built up their reputation around these titles. Making themselves synonymous with these epic tales of vastly different worlds and immersive story-archs with amazingly built characters and settings, etc.
There is absolutely no way in hell that BHVR could ever secure a license for the Last Of Us, it is quite literally the Pièce de résistance for the entirety of Sony right now. And yeah, pretty bold statement for a guy who was just touting the latest chapter wouldn't be Pyramid Head from Silent Hill but I think hardly anyone would disagree with me on this one.

Makes sense to me.

I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you. Sony said HZD is coming to pc

Horizon Zero Dawn (and another big PS4 game I can't remember) are coming to Steam soon, so Sony isn't as protective as you may think. And it's not like putting a Survivor from TLOU would decrease sales for future titles. People may get curious where they are from and check the series out, giving it more sales. The only thing Sony has to lose here is reputation, if the Chapter is infamous for some reason, like trash/god tier perks. No one will go "Oh, I can play as Ellie in Dead by Daylight, no need to buy TLOU anymore!". It's more like "Oh, this character from a game I enjoy (DBD) is from another series, I should check that out". Sony has very little to lose by letting DBD make a TLOU chapter

I dunno if they would be able to work out a cross-console deal for something like this.
1 -
It doesn't make much sence to get a 1 console exclusive game license
silent hill you still got throught multiple platforms but last of us?
1 -
i just it would depend on how the new game is, i mean BHVR and Sony could both make good bank. If they made a deal. It would draw TLOU fans to dbd and dbd fans to TLOU. But im not sure how it would all work out in the end if it was too happen.

If it's coming to steam then it's not a Playstation exclusive, or it isn't any longer, or won't be, however you want to put it. That's about the short of it.
Again, we're talking about literally Playstation's biggest, best, most attractive, highly reviewed, and intensely respected game on their entire console and you're saying they wouldn't be protective? Zero Dawn was a good game and it was well reviewed, that's why I added it to the list but it does not have the reputation the Last Of Us has. Especially since the Last Of Us is an ongoing franchise with part 2 coming this June. Unlike Zero Dawn which as far as I am aware is not getting a 2nd installment.
EDIT: What makes the most money is not always the best course of action even when it comes to business where a popular phrase is "all that matters is the bottom line" and other similar rhetoric. Throwing the license of a game around and basically milking every last dollar out of the popularity of a piece of media is an EXTREMELY fast way to lose respect. People catch on fast when a business is trying to milk something until it's dry without care to the fans, how it's being done, who is behind the project, etc. ever heard of a little thing called Star Wars episodes 7-9?

idk man. I just thought that The Last of Us chapter would be cool I didn’t want to think of all the legal reasons and stuff. I worded the title wrong.

Ew no.
With all the drama going on with TLOU2 I don't want that ######### in DBD. They can kindly ######### off.

Drama? I only played the first game years ago and just heard about the new one. So I haven’t heard anything drama yet.

The concern I have is that I don't think there are any characters from The Last of Us that would be a good fit for DbD. I liked the game and its protagonists, but TLoU is more of an apocalyptic survival game, not so much in the survival horror or slasher genres.
I'm failing to come up with any great monsters that would come out of it either. I know TLoU has the Clickers, but I see that as the equivalent of saying a zombie from Dawn of the Dead should be a DbD killer.
The reason that Demogorgon and Pyramid Head work is because they are iconic threats from their home series (and singular entities). Hopefully, they will open up a lot of new possibilities for other recognizable "poster" monsters from other horror games (such as Nemesis from Resident Evil, Chris Walker from Outlast, or The Keeper from The Evil Within).

I was more thinking of like a Ash chapter where it was only Joel. I also don’t think they would be a very suitable killer from the game.

Just look it up on Google news. Typical political BS.

I’ll check it out.

the last of us 2 ending got leaked and now Gamers are mad that the devs are supporting agendas and stuff, don't bother reading all the drama
