The new hook sabo system was a mistake

Why can someone sabo through a hit, period, was carrying someone to a hook, and they unhooked right in front of me, the unhooked person started saboing so i hit them, and because of bt they were able to just sabo through it then the survivor got off so i got stunned, isnt that a unreasonable, they need to stop and mend, but are perfectly able to continue sabotaging. I doubt this was an intended interaction, and i hope it gets noticed and fixed.

I love the new sabo system way more than the old system

As a survivor, there is a big risk/reward to doing the sabo since you basically have to do it with the killer on your ass (since the hooks come back so quickly, you can't just sabo the hooks around the killer and leave them scrambling). If you go too early to do the sabo, the killer just turns around and goes to a different hook. Wait too long though and the killer is going to give you a smack for your sabo troubles. Wait way too long and the killer is going to give you a smack for your troubles AND the person being carried is going to get hooked anyway since you waited too long and didn't get the sabo done before getting smacked.

As a killer, I like that the survivor has to do the risk/reward I put above and it allows me to see another survivor. If the survivor successfully sabos before I get there, now I have my own risk/reward choice to make. Do I try to get the downed person to a new hook? Do I drop them right there and go after the sabo person, risking losing both of my kills (or rewarding by hooking the sabo and then coming back to hook the downed person).

Sooooooo much better than the old system

As others have stated, they started saboing again. And to do that during a hit Cooldown you need a really fast Sabo-Toolbox.

I think when taking in to account the massive charge cut with toolboxes, the current sabotage mechanics are fine.

I was worried when they were first implemented, but haven't been inundated with problems since the change.
