He's more balanced than you might think, really. Don't want to be caged? Avoid his trails effectively, it's a strategic move.
Then, on the killer's part, they are given a choice: Lose bloodpoints and potential perk uses and cage them, or hook them and use perks and gain more bloodpoints.

Having tested this, it is not always guaranteed the cage will spawn closer to a survivor.
You underestimate how small some maps are as well. Many killers who tunnel as soon as they send someone to a cage will more than likely cut someone off and still go to the cage even when they could chase someone else.
Tell me, how can someone make a “safe” save when you can’t even make it to the damn cage? I’m tired of hearing this mentality of “well stop farming hooks” and also “well run and stop trying to be evasive” like what do you want the survivor to do against a killer who won’t leave? Oh let me guess... do gens right? Except for that the time the killer used to deliberately make marshmallows around the cage is a net loss on gens. Basically cages don’t encourage an interactive experience and have no consequence for killers who tunnel. That’s the bottom line.
This is why since day one I’ve been ok with everything about him, except for his cages. They seem like a badly designed idea.

It's not a bug. It does need a change. Such as PH doesn't see where it's located. He has no reason to go back to ut. Don't show him. Making all hook perks useless for it is asking to be tunneled and it's too accessible for him to immediately see it and run to it for an easy kill. He is one killer. I'm not complaining about any of the others. His cage promotes easy outs for killers.

People have been sucking up having to go against face camping bubbas for a long time. They aren't going to change PH for a long time. He will always counter DS with the cage. I think it needs to be changed, but some things people complain about would require a full rework.

It's counterable. You cannot be caged if you don't run into his ground ability. You can also crouch over it like Hag traps.
The notion that Nurse is still the strongest killer is also wrong.

you realize that you have to actually be tormented first in order for pyramid head to use his cage power on you right? the easiest thing to avoid ever. If you get caught by a cage its your own fault lol. wanna use ds and all the mechanics? dont run in the tremors

They should not let him see where the cage is. Seeing it just promotes tunneling. He has no reason to go back to it.

A bubba who facecamps isn't a guaranteed every match. I haven't faced one of those in a long time, but I've faced many bubbas. A PH is always going to have his cages. And those will always be unbalanced.

A PH will not always tunnel though. Just like not every bubba will camp. Just because the killer can be toxic and tunnel/camp effectively doesn't mean they'll all do it. The cages also don't proc killer perks either. Devour hope and BBQ and every other hook perk is completely useless if the PH wants to tunnel you. I think it should count as a hook, but I'm not against it being treated differently.

Survivors still have the opportunity to use their precious DS by jumping into the locker and also BT since they will be hooked at least once in Pyramids hard-tunneling sequence(if he is so scummy like everyone claim them to be). This will give plenty amount of time for teammates to do gens

But his cages send you to the other side of the map. If he gets to you before your teammates do that’s their fault.

A PH not always tunneling doesn't change the fact his cages are absolutely gameplay-breaking currently.

And you can literally avoid Rites of Judgement so he if goes for the tunnel you will end up on the hook allowing your teammates to save you with BT and allowing you to jump into the Locker with DS and waste a lot of his time.

It really isn't that simple to avoid it all the time lol. In some grass? You're screwed. In a jungle gym at a dead zone (cause dbd loves its dead zones) so running away will get you killed? Either run through it or die. It really isn't as easy to avoid it as it is for people to type that tip out lol.

True but that implies The Executioner will have wasted perks, all he has to do is not equip hook based perks. So it's not exactly one in the same.
Not true, I know because I have rushed to a Cage of Atonement and beat Survivors there many times. It's incidental if someone happens to be near but that is't always the case. It actually is the easiest tunnel to send someone to a CoA, especially in the middle of the map.

There are perks and killers that already do that. OoO ruins a hag or trapper. Spinechill? Good luck stealth killers. I already said I think the cages should be counted as hooks. I just don't care all that much about one killer out of the 20 making hook perks sometimes useless. He's not going to be able to cage you every time. Plus the rest of his kit is p mediocre lmao

This is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH SPIRIT, and it's pissing me off.
WAIT for counterplay to be developed (generally takes about a month) BEFORE complaining.

You can't render it invalid, not saying it is valid but consider The Spirit. A lot of the early feedback complained about vault window (where she didn't vault and would pause) and lack of collision during phasing. Prayer Beads was also a headache add-on people hated. Yet many people replied that it was too early for cry nerf, wait and see, you need to develop strategies on how to deal with her. Then low and behold, many of that early previously declared as void feedback was suddenly valid and materialized into balance changes. The early feedback didn't change over time, the only change was more and more people were in agreement with it.
Again not saying I agree with nerf calls for PH but I do disagree that feedback or suggestions are too early. Some people are very insightful and prophetic in their suggestions so who knows what will happen.

If anything, having Pyramid Head tunnel is the wrong way to play him, as essentially his main power is by disrupting the survivors, sending them to the far reaches to force survivors into a specific area. Namely map-control. Tunnelling with him completely defeats the very purpose he was brought in!
Send someone to a cage and walk all the way across the map to tunnel that same guy ... that's just a terrible state of play! I'm only guessing this happens because people don't fully understand him, or their playstyle is not suited to his power.

I mean... yeah? But I understand it is wide, and ugly, and annoyingly weird with hitboxes, but if they fix all of those things I would not mind versing Pyramid Head anymore.

You can avoid running into it in a chase in the first place. The optimal path isn't always the correct one.
If you're that incompetent to see what's directly in front of you, and have no map awareness, then continue to be bad at the game and come to the forums to complain every time your poor plays get you killed instead of learning the mechanics.
If you rely on perks to win, then in my opinion, you're a bad player.

you don't have to scare flashlight, pallet safe, and dont have to carrying survivor to the hook to active this 2 perk so you got insta hook with aura read and gen regress and still make ds,bt,deliverence unusable if the killer don't care about the cage 'cause it's so far and control the gen
and imagine if the killer use MYC it's a hell real #########

EXACTLY a killer mainly counters PASSIVE gameplay eliments and little on core unless specificly built to but theirs always a counter. the problom is that their us no counter. you cant take off torment theirs no repurcution 4 running around with ur ranged ready and theirs no additnal elements that affect him missing a ranged attack that arent on hit. ppl say deathslinger is broken but atleast theirs disadvantige of his power if you miss you have to reload as well as slower movement when aiming and less camera monuverabilty. theirs no reason he should be abol to sit in power going the speed other rang attack killers have to lose to yous theirs like 103 or somthing so ur still faster should be fine as well as less charges and a slightly higher penalty 4 missing his rang either that or make it a heaver depleation of the power meter. a killer cant have a strong passive AND core affect it needs to be balance or 1 needs to be weeker and those changes while keeping the rest will keep him viable. oohh also you should be abol to remove torment but still make it time consuming like mending or getting rid of madness. also b4 u say im just play surviver actuly both ranks are pretty close even the killer side of me says he strong.

So...sacrificing hook perks and hook points in order to save time and hassle of second chance perks and SWF fookery is scummy. Interesting. Completely forgetting the fact that you have to be afflicted by Torment to be at risk of being caged, which is easy to avoid on larger maps. Especially when you're using UE to walk over any.
Also, PH is still vulnerable to pallets because his ranged ability sucks

while delivernce and such shouldnt be used in cages i think anti tunnle perks should always be able to use this gos both was bt and make your choice cuz it promotes a healthy flow of the game and dosnt completly kill the fun 4 some players.

If you know she has Stridor you can use that to your advantage since it distorts depth perception. Just remember she doesn't know how far away you are.

Don't get caught in the first place. Focus more on perks that lose him in a chase than relying on second chance perks to bail you out.

No, you're getting confused. People DO like the new DLC, it's just a tiny (and very loud) portion of survivor mains who can't adapt that are complaining as hard as they can to make PH one more USELESS killer for the roster!

Just don't walk into the trail, every game I have played as survivor today against PH, I have never been tormented, it's so easy to dodge his torment.
