A way to make dying light better and more applicable across the board.
Hooking a survivor for the first time gives two stacks
hooking any survivor past that gives one stack
Hooking the obsession for the first time loses 2 stacks.
hooking the obsession loses 1 stack
killing the obsession by any means loses 4 stacks.
Stacks can no longer be gained or lost once the obsession is dead. if a new obsession is created, new stacks can be gained and lost. similar to stbfl.
remove altruistic healing bonus for the obsession. Stacks also effect the obsession, but do not include altrustic action speed (the survivor is not buffed, simply not nerfed when it comes to healing)
- promotes hooking multiple people, but not the obsession
- doesn't lose all benefit when the obsession is dead so long as you've been hooking multiple people
- Promotes not tunneling after first hook, and instead hooking multiple people first and letting them go to get max benefit.
- Does also incentivise not leaving the obsession till last as well and not ignoring the obession when you find them first, as losing the stacks before you've gained any is beneficial to prevent from losing extra stacks.
- Promotes leaving obsession players to last, or tanking D-strikes to change obsessions and allow you to get more stacks by hooking prior obsessions. switching obsessions allows you to get more stacks across the board easier now, and increases synergy with obession swapping perk mechanics.
*Numbers can be adjusted based on game balance and game feel. So can stack values and decreases. Main premise is that going for your obsession first isin't a bad thing, But ending them too early is. DS would further act as anti tunnel to make the killer lose stacks for hooking previously hooked survivors and tunneling, however spreading pressure and going for others when theres a new obsession is a good thing.
(this version of dying light does have a singular issue however. if the killer wants the easiest highest stack gain possible, they'd have to hook the obsession at the start of the match twice and then leave them till the end of the game, this isin't optimal play however, and DS is a common and giant counter to this tactic. wasting time doing so is honestly enough counterplay doing so, however it is a possible playstyle that needs to be considered as it isn't exactly fun to be on death hook by the start of the match.)

Definitely better than the crap perk Dying Light is now. The healing buff meant more when you were reducing all action speeds by 33% when they died, but now, the perk has no where near that kind of value.

Honestly they should just remove the altruism bonus to the obsession and it would be okay.
Back when you had to kill the obsession to get 33% speed penalty, it promoted tunneling, but it also gave the obsession a altruism bonus to force them to be bold and reckless to make use of that bonus.
Now the obsession has a altruism bonus for seemingly no reason other than make this perk #########. You litterally don't want to touch the obsession, why would they give a bonus on top???
