Does DS need a nerf or some adjustments?

I like the Idea of DS being an Anti-Tunnel Perk. But people tend to abuse it, running to the killer or in a locker just to DS them even tho he doesn't really wanted to tunnel them.

Or people just played well, downed the next person, hooked them and the person before that hook runs injured to the hook of the actuall hooked person, gets downed and uses DS.

I personally think that DS really needs some changes and my change to DS would be this:

DS has no timer after getting unhooked. It stays active until...

  • ..you're in the healthy state again,
  • ..the killer hooked someone else
  • ..or the exit gates are powered

So the survivor have still an answer to killers that really wants to tunnel them, but the killer doesn't get punished if the survivor wants to abuse it or simply played bad. And it doesn't kill the end game for the killer. I think that would be a fair change. No timer but some more requirements.

    It could definitely use some buffs to anti-tunneling aspects and nerfs to do a dumb/dangerous play (if you didn't use DS) and be protected by DS aspect.

    I've suggested before to move the timer down to 45 seconds or even 30 seconds and have the timer pause is you are hit.

    Certain perks like DS shouldn't be available in SWF groups.

    DS in it's current state is unbalanced.

    Survivors get so much free information yet the killer doesn't even know who has DS to wait out the 60 seconds so leads to slugging
