Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just completed a trial on Pyramid Head and received the crown on deathslinger.

That shouldn't be possible. Did you switch from Deathslinger to Pyramid Head in the lobby?

Nope... The first game I played I didn't collect a crown because I didn't know how it worked. After reading this post - thank you by the way! - I realized how it worked, and got it on my second match. I didn't see it for pyramid head, and wondered what happened to it. I hit L3 (on PS4) to switch over to deathslinger, aaaand he had it. So... dunno! I've only played pyramid since turning the game on.

I realized what happened. So, the login reward for June 23-25 is the 'Pecan Crown' which is a cosmetic for the deathslinger. The crown that the deathslinger gets from interacting with a pedestal must be different?

Yeah, that's a different thing. The event crown is called "Crown of Entity the Great". It's the one you see on the blue podium while waiting for a lobby.

I think on the lunar vessel event you got bloodpoints every x seconds you carry it. You got rewarded for "exposing" yourself. And that gave you several 100 BP iirc each 10 seconds. Finsihing event gens gave you 4000 BP, using event hooks extra 2000BP. Thats why I also think that 500 BP for an escape is not really an incent to do so, after unlocking the cosmetic. I mean, escaping alone gives 5000 BP, so 500 bonus isn't that much, taking into consideration that event gens gave you almost the same amount multiple times during the match.
@Lucian typo here, just to make sure: OP says licensed can NOT get it, only original characters

Thanks for the warning about the typo, I fixed it.
I'm not really sure how that one worked. I think that's one of the events I skipped when I was getting bored with DbD.

Now I got it.
So I must play with all non-licenced to give then the charm.... i swear i didnt understand why the crown hadnt show up after finishing a match with it as killer...

Hopefully they fix the issue soon where the bonus will apply to everyone. So many lost bloodpoints lol.

This has probably been discussed but I can't be bothered to go through this many comments. The question is are the event items(flashlight and med-kit) supposed to be this rare, it's a bug or I'm just unlucky? I got some trom boxes but none from bloodwebs.

That's why I'm using this event to get all the survivor adept achievements as well. Play until a killer is just farming and I get a new cosmetic and an achievement, and in the case of Dwight and Kate a time challenge for 60,000 bonus BPs.

Not sure that "Only one pedestal may exist at any time is true", i've actually had a few games on Autohaven where iv walked past a crown pedestal just to find another a tile over, went back to the previous tile and the first pedestal was still there. Either it's a bug or more than one can spawn.

That could've just been a coincidence. One person got one of the crowns while you weren't looking, then another got the other one. Without direct confirmation of two people seeing two pedestals simultaneously, I'm not going to edit the OP.
In the FAQ section there's a link to a list of licensed characters. Those are the ones that can't get the crowns.

the match where i get the crown for jake park the killer DC with 2 gens need be done and i get it anyways

Could someone clarify just so I'm sure. Ghostface is technically an original character within DBD however the mask is licensed. Does he get the Crown as well or no? I'm assuming no but since the character is original I just wanted to be sure. Asking here since thread is pinned and I'm assuming it serves as a FAQ.

i need help! i’ve gotten the crown over ten times with two separate characters and escaped with it but neither has it in their customizations. I don’t understand?

And you're sure you had the crown? Was your character glowing? If so, try restarting the game.

Ah, you're on console. I've heard people on console having problems with the event that we on PC didn't. Still, did you try restarting the game?

@Orion thank you for this post. I wish I had seen it sooner instead of learning bits and pieces as I went along. I think the event should have been clarified for everyone in the beginning, unless it was and I missed the detailed instructions. Also, you're incredibly patient with the posters here who keep asking the same thing you just explained in the OP. Kudos.

This event sucks.
Cakes don't work and I can't get a single event item to spawn on my P3 character. Every bloodweb it's one cake then nothing. I want to collect at least a few event items.

I already unlocked the crown on all of the non-licensed survivors aside from Quentin, Jeff, and Zarina(because I didn't bought them). So now I'm trying to unlock it for some killers that I can play as, and started it with the Doctor. I activated the pedestal but I wasn't able to get the crown after the game. Aside from playing it again and try to unlock it, any other way? I don't like playing as a killer because I'm not fond of chasing people(I'm just a casual player) and queuing time is very long.

There is no way to unlock crowns except by playing that character.

Can't I just report it as an issue? I hope those are recorded in game logs.

Sure, you can report it as an issue, but I doubt they'll have it fixed before the event is over. I really recommend just getting the crown again. Try to farm, that usually gets survivors to rush gens.

what I don't understand, is why they made an item with the head of the original character with the crown, and they didn't make an item that can be used with any other skin...

I’ve seen a lot of people wanting SpringTrap in so I’m just here to say something. IF u were to add him in, make it wear instead he stuff the player in the suit and the player has to carefully take the suit off or it kills the player inside. Neat.

Is William able to get a crown? I figure the crown would interfer with his hat. Im super close to getting a crown for all my survivors, hes my only one left without a cosmetic.

Every time I kill survivors this event: "######### sweaty tryhard just be nice we need crowns and bp"
Every time I try to NOT kill survivors this event: Gens all done in 30 seconds and survivors telling me how EZ it was.
Ok, fine. Just gonna go play ProgressQuest, no people there to annoy me.
