the PH change was necessary...why exactly?
now I haven't played PH (just waiting for rank reset before I play killer again) with this change but why did they feel the need to change it?
what were too many people clogging the discussions with "Ph is a camping POS" cryposts so you do this to shut them up? i'm all for discouraging scum tactics but PH was completely fine before this and the whole cage camping thing was down to player choice, what was the point?

For an ability that can negate many anti-tunneling and camping perks, it's pretty oppressive to be able to see exactly where a cage is at all times. *Not to mention moris work on cages*

They should add something minor to his cages as a buff, but I'm fine with what they did as there was literally nothing the caged survivor could do. No perks could help them, and if the killer got there first they couldn't be even uncaged.

fair enough, I just feel like taking away that information is a bit much

This is a step in the right direction just waiting for them to remove moring from cage.

It would've been fine if BT and DS worked with cages. But since they didn't do that, unfortunately they had to nerf.
Edit: Camping is a strat and campers have every right to do so and play how they want. However, for balance reasons, survivors still need an opportunity to play around it.

The only people I can imagine were complaining were SWF swarm teams who all float around the killer trying to interrupt hooks. In most normal situations there's somebody close enough to the cage spawn to rescue almost immediately.

As usual, the trash players that play like scum because they wanna tunnel and camp ruin a killer for the rest of us that don't.

Bingo. I was excited to play as PH. But as survivor, it was miserable. I knew he was gonna get nerfed the first day the DLC came out cause the tunneling was relentless.

if people played Demo like that and got him nerfed I would have been extremely sad

PH wasnt fine, thats why he got changed rightfully.

Hello mister bias, good to see you again
3 -
He should be compensated..this is a very 1 sided change that shouldnt have been

Initially I thought it was a pretty heavy nerf, but since BT and DS aren't effective against cages - I can see how it's fair. PH is not fun to go up against as a survivor, and he's not a very good killer unless you play scummy.

It negates all anti camp and tunnel perks so being able to see where to camp and tunnel was overkill
1 -
You know caging negates good killer perks too right? Imagine a PH using pop and BBQ and then the perks not working because you caged. It was balanced in my opinion where it takes 2 perks from both sides. And if you have a swf PH has no chance anyways because he was a c rank killer at best but now since people had to cry "he's too op nerf him BHVR!" He's now just gonna hook and mini Mori until you guys go back on here to be like "oh BHVR get rid of his mini Mori it makes escapes even harder!"

cages negated every anti tunnel and camping perk the survivors had, and it really wasnt hard at all to tunnel even when the cage is across the map
literally almost every game i’ve played against pyramid head resulted in me or my teammates getting tunneled to death solely because the killer could.

you know why, don't play dumb.

because some people were playing scummy and too many SWF were complaining about it?

Let's keep it simple PH was a c rank before the cage being invisible

It also ruined pressure perks too so I found it as an eye for an eye. Plus why not just gen rush if you was worried about a camping PH.

Because people were getting camped and tunneled because his power enables it.
1 -
Sending people to the cage is basically a "not my problem anymore" ability. It keeps your momentum.
Anyone who thinks otherwise were already campers.
2 -
I don't have a problem, but what I do have a problem with is them not compensating him for it by slightly buffing one of his ass perks. Getting rid of the yellow gen would have been perfect.

Of which the devs have said the people who do that are well within their right to do so.
I'm a survivor main and the fact they made this change pisses me off. Just how much easier should the game be for survivors?
Seriously, BHVR may as well remove the killers ability to see hooks and generators next. Because it "encourages" camping and tunneling.
Anyways rant done, it's a stupid change but what can we even do about it.

Pretty much. I've yet to play against a pyramid head that HASN'T done this at ranl 1. Feels like im the only player who isnt a total flowchart scumbag

It was necessary to save them the headache of dealing with whining.
It's okay though, people don't whine about other killers that can play like dicks and get away with it, so all the other ones are fine. As long as people don't get their DS/BT cancelled.

I agree completely. I'm fine with cages not activating BT or DS, as long as PH cant see the cage. If hook perks dont work, it's fair. Which is why the hotfix was good.
Edit: my original comment is a in response to the reaction of camping cages. If PH wants to be able to see auras of cages and camp cages, BT and DS should activate. But now that they cant see the aura, its balanced for BT and DS to not proc.

I'm not gonna say the cage change is a bad thing, but have survivors considered not stepping on PH's trails? This way he can't cage you and has to hook you unless he wants to slug.
