Matchmaking
The matchmaking is plain horrible, and gets worse with every update, it's getting really frustrating to play and it truly should be a priority to fix it as is vital for a good match.

I agree. My daughter started playing the other night as survivor and she was having fun. Didn’t win but she didn’t care either. So I played a killer game just to show her what the killer sees vs what the survivor sees. I played as a brand new Trapper, rank 20, no perks, no add ons, nothing. Needless to say, I got smoked. Which I expected. But when I got to the end game I saw I was playing against a rank 11, 2 red ranks (rank 1 or 2) and a 5. I usually play 50/50 killer/survivor but I haven’t played since demogorgon came out. This made me not want to play killer.

This is not okay. I get frustrated often enough because as a green/purple rank killer I get matched more often than not with primarily red ranks. Can't even imagine how discouraging this must be to new players.

Same here. Rank 18 killer against 4 rank 1s with maxed out builds and purple sabo tool boxes. I've DC'd more than ever lately. FIX YOUR MATCHMAKING BEHAVIOR

It's awful. If I hadn't stupidly left the main menu up while reading up on how to play, etc. I would refund the game. This is a joke.
I can't even learn to play the game. Every match is either against people MUCH more experienced, or against people who are obviously playing in a group. The worst matches involve both, and as a result, the game is no fun at all. It's such a shame. The game has so much potential and could be so fun. But it just... isn't.

I’ve tried and tried to play killer, but for months the matchmaking has been painful. Today alone, I attempted to play killer to finish up some last minute challenges before the Rift closes and had maybe one player near my rank, and the rest were red ranks (mostly 1s and 2s).
How is anyone supposed to rank up when you can’t go against players of your own rank to learn? It’s beyond frustrating.
I might be able to live with it if it were every few games. But it’s EVERY game.

Came here see if this was some game wide issue right now. I previously v v rarely had an issue with matchmaking. As a R1 killer I would be matched with 1-4 survivors. In the last 2 weeks, something changed. I am CONSISTENTLY matched with very low rank survivors. Not even 1 out of 10 games will put me with other red ranks.
Unfortunately, I'm going to be taking a break from the game unless this is addressed in some way - even acknowledging that something is wrong. As much as the sweaty looping survivors drive me crazy, I miss the challenge. The game just isn't fun without it.

This game is complete dogshit when it comes to matchmaking from a killer's side because when there's a survivor with friends team it swings heavily towards the lowest ranking member meaning there are always 2-3 experienced red ranking survivors. How the actually hell does the dev think this makes playing killer fun. Do new players want to continue playing and learn their chosen killer to main whilst being flashlighted after each pallet stun? OF COURSE NOT.

Don't worry guys, BHVR said they're working on a matchmaking thing and it's coming out at the end of June! It's now June 36'th so any day now
