Popular DBD streamers dodging tournament ?
With the tourny coming up soon it has become clear that if u are a relative popular streamer in DBD you have declined the offer to participate in the tournament.
The only notable streamer so far to accept is Otz and that is great :) such a great streamer/person IMO.
But the others that declined did it why ? Maybe they are afraid of real competition and just play against rank 20s to show the "skillz" :)

Because DBD is no game where Tournaments make sense? Lol.

Yeah no, the game is balanced around your average red ranker, not really good survivors or killers.

Were does being a streamer equate expectation to participate to tournaments? One is entertainment, the other is competition. They're not mutually implied, or exclusive.

I think we already know the outcome.
If survivors spread out and play super safe, they will win. Then again, who can say with the enforced ruleset.

It's simple really. Not everyone is interested in tournaments.

too much attention

Because it's all risk and no reward?

Because tournament DBD is radically different from anything you'll see in "normal" DBD and it's not for everyone.
Not all games are like many MOBA games, CSGO and Overwatch where it's ultimately the same game that's being played in regular ranked ladder matches and organized competitive play. And even in games like that there's a huge difference between even a stacked top 500 Overwatch match and a match between two organized and proper teams.
DBD is more like all the games out there where the competitive community is far more community-run. As I have experience with it I'd compare it to something like Team Fortress 2, where you basically play a different game if you switch from even "high level" regular play to organized competitive play in any of the popular formats in that game.

DBD is not a tournament ready game as rng, maps, latency etc has far too much of an impact on the outcome of a match.

because this game is not skillbased and if you get 4 survivors that aren't braindead, they are going to destroy a killer no matter their skill level.
