Two and half minute killer win, nerf when?
First, this isn’t a serious post calling for nerfs but it is aimed at the people who take that one game Otz has out of 1000 where the survivors complete a gen in 15 seconds or whatever, and use that as ammo for their argument.
So let’s take one game DOWSEY has out of playing all day every day and use it the same way. Here you see Oni literally killing four survivors in less than three minutes. This shouldn’t even be a thing.

Love how the gen speed videos have 200 replies and this has none. Nobody complains when a killer wrecks a team in a few minutes. Its just gonna be the “bad survivors” excuse.
Really shows the bias in the community. Both sides have the potential to quickly defeat the other side.
17 -
Yes, this thread, which was opened 20 minutes ago, didn't receive 10 replies per minute nonstop. You'll find that that's the norm.
20 -
The genspeed videos often do :)
and come on Orion, you already know about the bias
1 -
Dunno how long until people realise this:
If the killer wins in the first 5 minutes, the survivors played trash.
If the survivors win in the first 5 minutes (or more), either A) The killer was trash, or B) The survivors genrushed to high hell
There is absolutely nothing in this game that makes you win as killer in under 5 min against a good squad, nothing. As much as you might want to deny it, the survivors were trash.
38 -
Unlike in survivor's case with gen speeds where its often not the killer's fault simply due to pressuring 4 survivors at once isn't possible for most killer until they build momentum.
However in this video 3 out of the 4 survivors misplayed horribly(2 ran into him during blood fury and one fed him blood fury and a early hook). So it was ENTIRELY the survivor's faults if you bothered to watch the video.
8 -
You’re wrong. A good Nurse could easily win the game in under 5 minutes against a good squad.
5 -
survivors were trash (we didn't even have to see the ranks), Oni got an easy hit due to Yui and Quentin sandbag (plus Yui dropped the pallet after being hit, green rank move), everybody was in a deadzone when Oni went berserker and nobody had meta perks.
when gens are repaired in extremely fast times there's nothing a killer can do, because he can't split into 4 entities and pressure 4 survivors together, while in these cases survivors are just trash.
1 -
There will be people saying that the Survivors messed up and it is totally ok that they lost in 2 1/2 minutes.
In general, if the Survivors win, the game is imbalanced, if the Killer wins, its all about their Skill. Never forget this.
But yeah, luckily games where either side wins in like 2-4 minutes are the edge cases.
8 -
and there we go 😂😂😂 ITS ALL THE SURVIVORS FAULT!! You didnt see the Oni coming around the corner at 200mph!
Meanwhile killer fails to pressure gens or gets greedy in chased and its never the killers fault they get genrushed against a good team.
7 -
So what is the purpose of this thread? To make fun of people that uses that otz video as An example why Gen speeds arent balanced?
Because you can Just say your opinion in that thread instead of making a new one.

Spread out + unbreakables and maybe some camaraderies, nah, no way. Especially with the amount of bugs on her.
0 -
Camaraderie? The #########?
5 -
You can’t spread out if you spawn together (which happens often) and the Nurse knows where survivors spawn (which most experienced killers do). Unbreakable would buy you time but considering Nurse can down survivors in seconds it probably wouldn’t add much time. And Camaraderie is a meme perk that nobody runs so I don’t think it’s even worth mentioning.

I think there is a problem with the survivors' objective and how quickly it can be finished, but i do think that 17 second gen is a very bad example. The examples that make sense are games where every chase is less than 15-20 seconds and yet gens get done in like 5 minutes, which happens, and it's decently frequent. Sometimes, gens can be stopped at a 3 gen in which 60-80% of a game can take place which i think is a bit ridiculous, cuz it puts the killer in a position where any mistake costs them the game way too fast, where survivors can just make tons of mistakes.
I do, however, think that if this problem is addressed, the ability of killers to end a match in 3 minutes also needs to be tweaked.
I will say one thing that differentiates a gen rush from a very quick 4k, though. The killer had to interact with and outplay every single survivor, individually, for the 4k to happen. The survivors needed to hold M1 on a thing for their objective to be completed.
2 -
Love how everything has to be explained in simple terms for survivors. Gen done in 17 seconds has no counter, a team getting wiped out is their very own fault.
6 -
There is a little difference:
Gen done in 17 seconds does not mean that the game is over or the Killer lost (as we have seen in the video provided, but this obviously never matters for this Forum).
Survivors being dead in 2 1/2 minutes means that the game is over and the Survivors lost.
Or are you saying that those are the same? 1 Gen done and 4 Survivors dead?
7 -
Camaraderie is great in a SWF especially when you devote to gens over the survivor on hook. Yes it's a strat and yes it works.

Even if true that's S K I L L. He most likely played only the Nurse for hundreds of hours!
Where is the skill in second chance perks, abusing voice comms, and gen speeds?!
0 -
Wait your telling me that these killers who complain about the game being completely survivor favoured are wrong?! I think my head is going to explode.
3 -
"Because the survivors in this video ######### up big time. When i play, i always verse professional video game players, so that does not count" - The average Killer main here
5 -
Skill is irrelevant. I was responding to this: “There is absolutely nothing in this game that makes you win as killer in under 5 min against a good squad, nothing.” Because it’s not true.
3 -
You can spread out, assuming you spawn in a corner of the map, someone goes left, someone goes right, someone says where you spawned and the final survivor goes center gen.
1 -
Yes please tell us the survivors were actually good, and that the game doesn't punish killers for having S K I L L S while rewarding noobynooby survivors with second chance perks and million other things. Please tell us.
1 -
You are missing the point like a typical survivor.
I am saying gen speeds are not counterable and require zero skill. For killer to "end the game fast" he needs to be skillful, like the guy in the video who has thousand of hours in the game. Because killers have deep learning curve and not just hold M1 and "loop".
Got me now?
2 -
Yea killer mains are so poor. Wonder how i pull of the magic all the time. Thanks for the quote tho.

What defines a "good" nursr in your opinion? Mechanics?
0 -
Nice ad hominem. Let me know if you want to give a real answer and discuss.
Not expecting much anyways, go back to holding M1 and me actually learning to use new killer's powers.
/e to nurse guy: also yes, nurse is nerfed.

The thing about a 2 minute 4k and pumping out most gens in 2 minutes is the fact both things are completely in the control of the survivors. Question: Was this 39 seconds 4k of mine out of their control?
Exactly. This wasn't the result of my skill or game balance. It was their decision to meme in front of my chainsaw and it was the decision of the other 2 survivors to not run away.
Now losing 3 out of 5 gens (for instance) is mostly in the survivor's control just like my 39 second 4k. If everyone spawns on a separate generator on a big map (Midwich for instance) and immediately starts repairing instead of derping around doing nothing then the killer WILL lose 3 gens after the first chase IF the first chased survivor merely knows the BASICS about looping.
You will never down ANY decent survivor in a few seconds (even if you find them injured) unless you play one of the few killers that ignore pallets, windows, distances and exhaustion perks.
There's a reason the developers are planning to add an Early Game Change. They know most killers have 0% control over the early game which isn't fair and balanced in anyway whatsoever.
That's probably why the devs added that cooldown mechanic to Billy as well. Because his map pressure needs a limiter with the upcoming Early Game Change especially if future map reworks make maps smaller as well.

And once the Nurse starts injuring and downing people, what? Leave each other to die? Considering how quickly Nurse can down people that’s a recipe to lose. You can’t keep all survivors completely split up for five minutes, even if you try to coordinate social distancing in game survivors have to cross paths with each other at some point.
0 -
New Nurse is still a powerhouse but you’re entitled to your opinion.
0 -
I think at the end of the day it comes down to what playstyles clash in a match.
A lot of high rank survivors focus on genrush, which, of course, killers know and play accordingly. I've seen killers getting frustrated when you 'don't play right' as well, because your survivor doesn't follow a 'predictable' playstyle, and vise versa.
One common sentiment seems to be people getting upset that *you* messed with their climb up the ranks...

I'm going to assume English is not your first language. "Entitled to your opinion" means "You have the right to your opinion". It doesn't mean you're entitled.
7 -
What are you talking about? A) I didn’t call you entitled, I said you’re entitled to your opinion, the word “entitled” can be used in non-insulting contexts. And B) I’m a rank one Trapper main you absolute goof.

I indeed press a lot of M1 since i prefere M1 killers. I am sorry but I dont have a problem winning as killer. Sure sometimes you loose and sometimes you get even destroyed, but in almost every case it was my own fault. Just came back after a 2 month break and i had a few horrible games aswell. Do i come here and complain about how unfair it is? No, i try to improve and regain my strenth (and get even better then i used to)
There is not a lot to discuss right now honestly. My opinion is, that if you are not able to win as a killer now, you will never win if you dont improve. Its not the games fault, you simply might not be good enough to face the best survivors. Well.. maybe its a matchmaking problem and some complainers play at the wrong rank
The only thing they should change are some killers like Leatherface, Demogorgon or Legion. They should become stronger. But in return they also have to nerf Spirit, Nurse and Freddy. Some killers are still to powerful, others are to weak.
1 -
I guess they made more mistakes than their second chance perks could handle.
1 -
Well, even that depends. New Nurse still can if the survivors are either arrogant or potatoes.
0 -
1 gen was done, which required multiple BNPs (only 1 use per trial) and toolboxes get used up quickly too. Killer still went on to 4k
why am I even explaining this? Why are we comparing 1 gen to a full team of survivors?
1 -
To be fair the killer can only do that if the survivors are all near each other and out positioned so "bad survivors" is a excuse because they were not spread out doing gens like good survivors do. Even if you spawn with your team and decide to do the nearby gen when the killer shows up it's basic knowledge to leave that area and do other gens or if the killer lacks a means to down you quickly you can try to finish the gen.
In the case of gens being done in 3 or 4 minutes it's the exact same thing, survivors spreed out and focused on gens. while whoever is being chased tries their best to play it safe and waste time.
in both cases the most important thing is positioning in the beginning of the game and repositioning and responding properly to the killer is what separates good and bad survivors. If your team dies 3 minutes into the game it just means that you all failed to respond properly to whatever the killer was doing and you all were out positioned which should never be the case if your team is in critical condition (2 or more survivors hooked or downed)
2 -
Because survivors have control in both situations? They were bad and he got 4k, no unbreakable even (which requires zero skill).
Tell me, how to counter gen times?
Let me put it this way to you survivors: terrible survivors (could even be first game, did not see ranks) got killed by literally thousand of hours killer, versus gen times. What makes a game imbalanced and survivor sided?
1 -
Do you play killer/nurse? Because it actually requires skill and practice not just holding M1.
0 -
I think I misunderstood you, I thought you meant "players" by killers and not killers as in other than the Nurse.
My bad.
1 -
All 5 players are trash why should I waste time watching it?
0 -
That's where unbreakable, camaraderie, deliverance etc comes into play.
Also she downs fast, but not that fast, against good survivors a chase will be minimum 30 seconds and max a minute because they can just run in a straight line.
0 -
And a killer that allows the survivors to win in 3 minutes is trash too. Your point is?
0 -
Wait what, I always spread out if we spawn together. If I see 2 teammates on a gen I run through the map, why work it with all 3 and give the killer a chance to pressure everyone?
0 -
My point is that survivors have near enough full control of the match depending on map, killer chosen etc...
0 -
It is not an excuse it is a fact. Survivors who lose in 5mins deserve to lose as they ######### up. You talked alot of trash about billy, maybe you can finally take DwightOP up on his challenge and just kill them in 5min?
Also
4 -
Camaraderie again?! No “good survivor team” is gonna waste a perk slot on Camaraderie.
LMAO running in a straight line is literally the worst thing you can do against Nurse. I’m sorry but if you think Nurse struggles against survivors who run away in a straight line I’m not sure this conversation is ever gonna go anywhere, so I’m out.
0 -
Well ye if all survivors just ran at the oni then they'll die they can just wait out his power or loop him. What could've otz done in that gen video to avoid it? Spawn on the gen?
