Reason why people complain about SWF
No, nothing in this picture is exaggerated, as you can see, the killer is playing with exactly 4 perks, and two of them he has to earn (BBQ and Pop)
While the team of survivors has exactly this amount of perks, and again, no, it's not BS, you can check by yourself, the simple fact of playing on comms gives you kindred, bond, empathy, premonition, alert, Aftercare, Alert, half of blood pact, Buckle up and many others perks FOR FREE.
And of course, these perks are added to the base perks of your choice, in this picture it's the common DS, BT, DH, Adrenaline.
I see you coming with your common and prefered sentence : "you want to punish people for playing with their friends ?"
NO, i want the game to be BALANCED whenever they play or not play with their friends.
How could we do this ? Give solo players more information, give them base kit kindred, base kit empathy, bond and even buckle up, give them QoL changes, and THEN, buff killers accordingly.
Nobody should be against this, since it don't punish AT ALL "people playing with their friend", it even buff solo Q.

You forgot to mention how obnoxiously toxic a lot of the 4-man SWF sweat squads are. They consist of survivor mains with thousands of hours in gameplay that are just so bored and addicted that, rather than playing a different game, get their fun out of making someone else's gaming experience as miserable as possible

People say not all SWF play sweaty, but they seem to forget the fact that sweaty or not, they have huge advantage by gaining all these FREE perks.
How do you think they would react if killers could get 10 perks for free added to the base 4 perks ?

Instead of buffing solos I think buffing killers when facing swf would be a better solution. Don't tell the killer they are going against a swf because then they would lobby dodge. Maybe select your 4 perks and pick an extra 4 that only get equipped "if" your up against a swf. Or give them some sort of boost to action speed. Something. Im just throwing ideas out there. Solos can always git gud but buffing them because swf is over powered just makes killer's job even harder.

A few days ago I was in a 4 man swf and discord went down for like 30 mins. We actually had to play the game as intended /gasp
It was funny and more challenging. I was messing around with q&q+head on. I was being chased and I jumped into a locker. The killer then chased someone else and that team mate just happened to run past me. The fact we did that locker stun without coms made it hysterical.

My issue with SWF will always be the absurd amount of free information given to a group without any downsides. The amount of aura perks you get and the amount of perks you make useless for killer is staggering. Even a 4 man group of memeing trashcans still get a mountain of free information.

I always see this same statement go around the forums, "oh buff solo's first then buff Killers" okay? But still y'all give no solutions to what those buffs should or could be. IMO all that needs to happen is give SWF a stacking penalty to repair speed for each survivor on that SWF group and that's all, then in order to encourage solo play you could give them kindred and empathy base kit this way SWF gets tonned down a bit and solos get stronger. It's a really simple fix that wouldn't require the devs having to look at every Killer for a buff compensation.

i say yes do this swf is braindead easy i did it with 4 people and i wasn't using meta perk still got out in every match.

These so called amazing SWF teams are going to wreck you with or without voice.
Put four competent players together and yeah.
This is why you see Killers crying about SWF post game when it's actually four solo queue players that are lucky enough to get paired together.

The devs have said as much too. The survival rates of SWF are marginally better than solos.
The problem with SWFs are there are people who are playing better than the killer because they have mastered the game to a higher degree in understanding and mechanics even though the killer thought they had already achieved mastery. Itβs game by game, too. Itβs called a trial for a reason.

The thing is, DbD has the lack of information built into the core of the game. Using comms is a huge boost, where it shouldn't be.
