How many chances for the old Freddy return?
Are there any chances to see my favorite killer returning? So many people want him back and i am one of them.

I'm with you mate. I loved to play with the old Freddy, it actually required you some brain to play him, it was hard of course.
I have so many good memories from it, double block addons make survivors sleeping in 4 seconds, allowing me to get multiple grabs at the start of the match xD

Last I remember, devs have said they are not interested in bringing old Freddy back. I imagine if they were, they would never have re-worked him to the degree that they did in the first place.

The devs also said that Billy was the most balanced killer in the game, but then he got nerfed :(

Unlikely. Given how much work went into re-doing Freddy completely, they probably wouldn't have done it unless they were that confident that they did not want old Freddy back.

That was the point of playing old Freddy, he was the most difficult killer to play, that’s what i liked about him, i also liked his old power but now it’s changed so much

Yeah I doubt they will revert all the new mechanics and the work they went through with the rework.
It's the same reason why I predicted that the overheat mechanic on hillbilly wasn't going to go away. Unless the devs find a severe problem they usually stick to stuff they put a lot of work into

They changed old Freddy because they were very unsatisfied with him enough that they were willing to basically make an entirely new Killer rather than keep him.

Extremely unlikely; according to the devs Freddy was changed not just because of how most people found him unfun to play but also because people found him annoying and confusing to play against.
Also, as much as I like Old Freddy, he was very much RNG based, even with his skillcheck reducing add-ons it was very much RNG whether you could apply enough slow down and get enough information out of your aura reading.
When it went his way he was unbeatable; a slugging god and a slowdown master - uniquely able to sneak up on and surprise Survivors at a level greater than Scratched Mirror Myers if you used Old Red Paintbrush and M&A.
When it didn't go his way though, you could become a joke; staring impotently at Survivors as they repeatedly failed Self-Care skillchecks in your face.
Obviously most matches were somewhere in the middle - with the skill of the opposing sides usually being a deciding factor, but it still wasn't a good feeling for either side when you did win or lose just because of RNG.
I loved Old Freddy's unique power - trading immediate aggression for ultimate information and slowdown; but it being based around skillchecks made it unfair - and basing it around specific interactables would either make too weak or too strong (depending on the accessibility of the interactables).
I'd love to get Old Freddy back too, but he had a lot of issues that were nigh unsolvable.
He needed his rework.

Old Freddy was the most annoying and broken killer to go against. I can’t even begin to fathom why anybody would want him back.
How was it fun not being able to know where he was? His lullaby wasn’t a direct indication of anything and then welp, you’re asleep. Escape him during a chase? Doesn’t matter as he’ll see your aura from across the map.
He was fun to play as but I hated going against him. It wasn’t even to do with him being difficult to verse, I just don’t understand how anybody can think that a wall hack killer makes any sense?

His power was broken. Why should any killer be able to see you on the other side of the map or constantly see you on the floor when you’re being slugged? He had OoO and Deerstalker built into his base kit which in no way was a fair mechanic. He’s a much healthier killer now because he’s stronger but he also has more counter play.
OG Freddy is the only killer I’ve ever legitimately hated going against and I know plenty of people felt the same way.

So having built in OoO and Deerstalker isn’t broken to you? Being able to have that much control on where survivors are at all times? He was one of the easiest killers to play as for me and I played him when I wanted easy matches. He had far too much information. Why do you think his aura reading has been completely removed? It was too much.

I think when they fix dedicated servers it will be better to play against him.. Because in the actual state his arm is bigger than Michael Phelpss... It's not fun..

I miss Old Freddy too (He was actually pretty powerful in the right hands if you juggled targets and harassed all 4 survivors as much as possible to keep them off gens) but I'd rather get a killer that plays similar to Old Freddy (Traps survivors into a different realm and they have to escape), but isn't Old Freddy.
Maybe SCP-106 or Pinhead with the Lamont Configuration.

I mean, it wasnt really trash, it was just really hard to use. Maybe with some tweaks he would have been able to become a better killer without being completely reworked into the boringly strong mess he is today.

And where exactly did I say he was weaker now? All my comments were about how game breaking his old ability was. He shouldn’t have been able to see people’s auras from across the map or see them on the ground.
The new Freddy is stronger but more fair to play against. I’d rather play against a viable killer than one with wall hacks.

Because to me, he was. How is having wall hacks not an easy way to play? There was no challenge when playing as him. That doesn’t mean I don’t find the current Freddy EASIER to play.

If you remember, his wall hacks deactivated inside his terror radius... So you could loop him and mind game him..
You can do those things against the reworked one but it's not fun... Specially with his dedicated server lunge but that has nothing to do with the topic

I used to play old Freddy a lot and he was one of my favourite killers to play. However, playing against him was one of the most frustrating and boring slogs to endure as survivor.
You never committed to chases not in your favour, so the survivor you are chasing has to waste time hoping RNG lets them wake up only for you to immediately put them to sleep again. He had in my opinion the best slowdown in the game, and when he paired range addons with his dream projection power that could lock onto survivors through walls, one of the best tracking tools in the game.
Unfortunately, extremely slow games and an inability to hide does not a fun killer make for survivors, he was similar to doctor in this way but more extreme since his invisibility made it EXTREMELY difficult to counter his tracking unlike Doctor's old Treatment mode. Paired with the fact that him just deciding to leave you alone to wake up only to put you back asleep if you did wake up meant that survivors had very little interaction other than hold m1 until he finally commited to you.
Don't get me wrong I loved playing old Freddy, but the most effective way to play him was dull and slow for the survivors to go against. I haven't even mentioned the fact of how effective slugging was with him, if he started to snowball downs the constant aura reading left little hope for survivors to make a come back. Even if they did get picked up, back to sleep everyone goes and it repeats. And even the dreaded tunneling, if he wanted you dead after hook you could never escape him if he didn't want you too, which wasn't the best way to play him but it felt like crap that you could never shake him no matter how well you did.
So rest in peace Old Freddy, you were not a weak killer but the entity will most likely never bring you back.

Yeah I know that, but once you had escaped him, he could locate you straight away. The only way for him not to see you was for you to be awake which resorted in having to blow up generators or fail a self care skill check. It was just a very broken and poorly designed power. At least with the new Freddy you have more chances of staying hidden from him / being able to successfully escape a chase.
With the OG one it wasn’t a matter of IF he’d find you, but when. You couldn’t get away from him as it was impossible to tell which direction he was coming from. But oh well, he’ll never be coming back. So I have nothing to worry about. Could the current Freddy be tweaked? Definitely. But they’ll never bring back the absolute ######### fest that was the OG Freddy.

More out of curiosity than any kind of animosity, but why do you want Old Freddy back?
I remember him generally being a laughably pathetic killer (the only one in the game who literally could not do ANYTHING to survivors without using his power) beforehand. I won't deny that he is much easier/stronger/more effective or however else anyone wants to describe it than he was before, but I can't fathom why they would revert the massive rework that he received.
All that said, if they wanted to reintroduce old variations of now-reworked killers into Custom Games (such as Freddy, Doctor, and Legion), then I have no problem with that. I don't personally see Old Freddy ever making a return to public matchmaking though.

Maybe they can put a new game mode without ranking system where you can play the old versions of killers, like Freddy, Legion, Doc, nurse...

These two responses conflict with each others. So which do you think he is, is he an easy killer or a hard killer to go against? Because both of these responses lead me to believe you think he's either in the middle or you're just questioning every response to downplay instead of have a conversation.

0% hopefully, i don't like the current freddy but the old one 2as annoying as hell. The only thing i liked about him was being abble to unhook teammates in the end game and he couldn't do anything about it.

New Freddy is much better, but so boring. The old Freddy design was actually unique and so much fun to play. They're never bringing the old Freddy back though.

I only miss a few things from old Freddy......
Old pill bottle letting you get attacks off from complete invisibility (now replicated by ghostface and silent bell wraith to a large extent)
Old class photo letting you put everyone to sleep during endgame with no way to wake up, combined with old remember me for like 90 second exit gate timers.
I also do miss remember me + dying light because that was a hilariously toxic combo.
