Why Nerf Knockout?
The most recent patch notes admit that Knockout is under-performing as a perk.
But the new changes make it wildly inconsistent. Only survivors that are downed by basic attacks will have their aura hidden. Not only will unique-killer attacks be hindered, but the simple act of dropping a survivor won't trigger the ability.
Locker grabs, interrupts, and even chainsaws don't work with this perk anymore.
15 seconds of blindness won't make up for this nerf.

Knockout is more a niche killer build anyways. Whatever they do, stop the tone deafening nonsense that happens when you get hit. I don’t know about anybody else, but I almost want to DC it’s very uncomfortable with headphones on

Yeah, but it was my niche. I really enjoyed knockout games because I loathe the hook mechanic.
It feels silly to nerf it and then call it a buff.

In their heads it was a buff lol.
They completely forget all the killers that use secondary hits.
It's like they don't play their own game somehow.

I guess they wanted to discourage using this on "mobile" killers that can really benefit from slugging?

This change also screws solos even more, meanwhile swf will not see a difference.

didn't know this was added. You would think the devs would have learned from the feedback on Hag's disfigured ear...but, then again, I wouldn't expect that much from the balance team given the head's comment about Clown.
Edit: it's probably the sound design team, but regardless of who decided it was a good idea, all the developers are in on not catching it before it went live, no offense.

Knockout does not affect SWF in any significant way, because they can verbally communicate their location over third party programs. Knockout already only worked on solos who had to find their allies.
Also, I find this change particularly egregious on a CHAINSAW KILLER.

I know Hag's ear was changed to remove the ringing. As someone with tinnitus ######### that noise. It would be VERY STUPID if the ringing sound is back for Knock-Out. Can anyone confirm if it plays the ears ringing or if it just muffles your audio for a bit like Hag's ear?
I like the idea of the audio muffling to simulate getting a concussion and being disoriented, just the ear-ringing is unneeded and annoying.

They can remove ringing for Hag's add ons, but I can't get an anti-epileptic mode for Lerys? Some bullshit. >>
