New auras are unanimously hated. Can we start a petition to get the old auras back <3
I've now seen hundreds of comments, forum posts, videos, and screenshots about how terrible the new auras are on 4.1.0. I noticed it myself last night that DBD shot itself in the foot with the new aura system for one simple reason: it makes the game require MORE acuity, intense concentration, and makes the game simply harder and less fun to play.
Those are all Dead By Daylight's weak points to begin with, coming from a rank 1 killer and rank 1 survivor, so another feature that makes the game even MORE dependent on focus makes me think I should switch to a game that just allows itself to be fun.
I hope this change is reverted, and frankly judging by the backlash from everyone I've seen on the internet, I believe it will be. Count this as me putting my vote in for that change. I'd sign this petition 👍

Peanits has already said that they're working on a fix. The auras wasn't supposed to be be thin and dark.

I'd like there to be an in-between. Within 25 or 30 meters, I really like the look of them. Further than that and they're bad.

The old ones worked well. Too well. Clearly they needed to die. 21 gun salute for the days where I could see where to pick up my traps😪

I legit accidentally let someone die on hook because I could not see their aura LOL
I believe in the devs, things like this will be adjusted despite the inconvenience during the process. I like the change of colors but the auras need more detail and intensity of brightness.
Being able to choose aura colors would be great perhaps this is where that is going. Because allowing some to use alternate colors would assist with color blind I believe and that should be addressed if it can be.

So not only was the change intentional, but it was released in an unfinished state and you won't be going back in the meantime while you fix the change? Is it because you have to keep them? Couldn't they be stripped back like the DC penalty until it's ready?

Mind if I ask what was the reason for the changes to auras in the first place? I know you placed them into a easier place so they won't be bugged or stuff in the future, but I'm generally curious on the visual changes.

If only BHVR had a working version of auras that people were ok with to switch back to till you get a viable new version. But alas, how we can only dream.
