Do They Really Deserve The Matchmaking Ban BHVR?
These survivors with 8 and 40 hours are supposed to be at a similar MMR as my 2000 hour Nurse but for some reason they don’t seem to play like it.
Is it really their fault they chose to leave such an unbalanced game that was out of their power?

Rank 1s do this on a regular basis whenever they cone across a good Nurse, as they can’t be bothered to play against them; The bans for people who don’t deserve them are a side effect.

This is how MMR will start off. Eventually you'll start facing better players. As of the start though? Well, there isn't much more they can do.

Congrats to you for sticking up for them. A lot of times the biggest proponents for the dc penalties were 2000 hour tryhards on either side wanting the opposing side to be nothing more than toys for them and to have them stay in the game when getting absolutely wrecked.

Is it their fault they chose to manually leave the game instead of finish it? Absolutely. I've never disconnected from even my worst games. Hell, the worse your game is, the faster it's over. No need to abandon it, and it's a lot harder to get better when you never go up against those better than you, even if a match is hopeless, you can generally still learn from it without having to ragequit.
Of course, that doesn't excuse the abysmal matchmaking that put them in that situation to begin with.
Even when you have 2,500 hours or whatever, there's still gonna be those games where you feel absolutely helpless against your opponents. Finish out your match and take a break if you need to. If you get into the habit of quitting every time you lose, you're much more likely to keep doing it, which makes the whole game worse for everyone.

I thought they said MMR was only enabled on some regions.

Except many of these new players are playing the game off of Game Pass on Xbox. Do you find it reasonable for them to stay in a game where they have almost no chance at winning? Most would move onto other games and never look back.

It’s been active on Xbox for about 1 week I believe.

Except the devs said your MMR will not start at default which means OP shouldn’t have been matched against new players. So no, this is not how MMR will start off, it should work from the start based on what the dev said. This new MMR system has been live on Xbox for almost two weeks now and from what I’ve read from Xbox players this new matchmaking system is even worse than the old one.

Disconnecting in a match is still screwing over your team so that they can unfairly have no real chance at winning. If you DC, you deserve to relax off the game for a bit.

Oh... then that's a bit odd to say the least...

well it just new player that wont stay game die soon anyway what it matter.

The match probably was unfair, but that doesn't give them the right to d/c.

"New players should be able to completely ruin the game or else they might leave" is quite possibly one of the most bizarre takes I've ever heard.

Yes, it is 100% their fault that THEY QUIT instead of handling the situation and moving on.
Nobody made them hit "leave match" except their bruised ego or unwillingness to deal with ######### situations as well as good ones.

Kinda yes.

Yes but I’m sure the devs will simply just turn a blind eye to this. For some reason they still can’t figure out how to create a fair and balanced matchmaking system, a system that actually works. It’s very concerning.

Ever since they reactivated the DC penalties I have been getting McDonald's servers. It's hard to play, but I guess I have to take the down or else I get penalized :/

@Peanits How is this okay? If MMR is activated, those low ranks shouldn't be getting paired up with OP. Sure DCing is lame, but at the same time I don't blame them for DCing for getting paired with a killer that is far above their skill cap. It's also evenly unfair for high tier survivors to get paired with low tier survivors, cause it's not my job to hold their hands. I'll leave them on the hook and they can earn their "high MMR" on their own. I've been getting survivors that immediately throw shack pallet when they see a killer coming their direction 16 meters away. So how is that fair to me when I get in a chase and all the pallets are gone? This MMR is all over the place with low tier survivors paired with high tier killers or high tier survivors paired with low tier killers.

They barley understand stand the game I had a similar thing my Reed rank piggy vs rank 20s its so unfair and not on at all.
These are the types that will complain about killers being op or just leave out of frustration. It's not on its really not fair.
