We've seen enough data, new MMR is NOT working. Revert and figure something else out.
I have over 2.4k hours and am constantly going against yellow rank survivors and killers consistently - many with one, two, or no perks (unless scoreboard bug). No one is having fun under this new system, it's not going to somehow get better. Listen to what we're saying about this, just like the auras.

Its just been 2 days, systems like these takes time

Systems like these should have been running and collecting data in the background before rollout so they had numbers to work off of.

BHVR claimed that it did, though. I don't recall which thread but they claimed that they had already been gathering data for a long time in preparation for the MMR system.

Ah, if that's the case then I'm at a total loss as to why this new matchmaking is so awful. If it had the data collected we should have been getting more accurate MMR from the get go not worse. Consistently getting paired up vs people FAR above my skill level. There have been games I don't even SEE a single survivor until 1 gen left or I go down in the first 20 seconds and the entire group gets steamrolled hard. Honestly makes me wonder if its even worth playing until its all fixed because it's pretty much unplayable for anyone who doesn't have over 1000 hours in the game.

The devs said in the Q&A that they were collecting data for months before they implemented the system and are using this data in their matchmaking algorithm. AND they said they were "happy" with the results on Xbox, which has had the new system a bit longer, where I've watched a streamer who is a rank 4 killer with over 3000 hours in-game destroy rank 15 and below survivors who were obviously new to the game just now.
It clearly doesn't work. Maybe a few people are getting lucky and having some "fair" matches, but on a whole, something is very wrong with this system. And something is very wrong with the guys monitoring this if they think the results so far are good.

I love this game but ######### this match making right in the goat ass. I hope it gets better. ALSO, WHY ARE THE RATINGS NOT VISIBLE!?!?!? If there is a rating in the background being used for match making based on skill/performance, WHY IS THIS NOT DISPLAYED!?

Did some SWF today, their FIRST DAY on the game - going against rank 1 killers and getting completely destroyed, no gens done, etc. Last night, I play survivor solo as rank 2 - getting rank 20 brand new killers.
If they've been collecting data, did they LEGIT implement the new algorithm BACKWARDS?! Cuz I went 5 hours and escaped every single match, but the killers kept getting newer and newer. I legit apologized after the games cuz I felt bad.
honestly don't understand but do NOT think this was the intended outcome.

I have been playing this game since it was released. I have literally spent over $1000 on all cosmetics alone that I wanted. I just wanted to let you know you've lost a customer for good due to your horrendous decision to implement this new total BS matchmaking. I have never "GOT GUD SON" to the game. I play it for enjoyment and fun. Not to be tunneled by rank 1 try hards that the development team LIES and says "oh, rank doesn't matter anymore, ITS BASED ON HOW YOU PLAY AS A SURVIVOR!" So, I'm a trash survivor I almost ALWAYS die first, and get stuck in matches with rank 1 skulls that SLAUGHTER EVERYONE WITHIN MINUTES OF THE GAME AND THINK THIS IS A GOOD FUN TIME! I will not be coming back, and I'll make sure to take everyone I know that also plays this game, WITH ME.

It doesn't seem to do well though. At least on survivor side for me. Killer was fine after 10 matches on my main.
I have 3k hrs and I am matched with guys who hide all the time or killers who are really new. Is it only because I got tunneled to death, camped or tunnel mori'd days before they brought MMR to live servers? So my background rating went down?
I just want to know how things like moris affect the MMR loss. Because it does not depend on your skill if the killer decides to be an ######### and tunnel mori you.

The Devs said in a little Q&A here in the forums that there might be some people who would not like to see it. But they think of showing it somehow in the future.
I hope they do. I want to know if the system thinks I am good or bad. With killer I can assume that getting 3 or 4k increases the MMR. But what is it on survivor? Generally doing well? Escaping (I hope not, because I often sacrifice myself)? Being good in chase? Holding M1? Escaping a chase? Hiding? BP? Time to get all gens?
There are so many variables on survivor side. The Devs just say "Do your best" but that is not helping at all. Since we all define "doing the best" different. I did my best if I was beneficial for my team, even if I die. But this is not always recognized by the emblem system for example.
I would like to see how my playstyle is seen by the MMR.

It's bad dude, I genuinely don't want to play anymore as a newer player and I was having tons of fun with this game until this point. Ever since it dropped the games are super inconsistent. Yesterday I actually had hope in the system, win some, lose some, how gaming works. Today, played about 15 games and nearly every single one was a 4k, didn't win a single one and the only people that did win were on top of hatch letting me die on my first hook because they're all brown ranks with red rank killers.
I have no help from team mates, but have extremely experienced killers who are infinitely better. I've been playing every day, most of the day ever since this matchmaking came out and there's been no sign of actual adjustment besides yesterday and it all went downhill immediately today. This system does not work and it's pretty clear that not many people are having fun with this game right now.

Just open up matchmaking to everyone. No ranks, nothing. Prioritize queue times.
Sometimes you'll face newbies, sometimes you'll face god squads/god tier killers. Who cares? It's a video game that's 2 steps away from being a party game.

The issue is more with new player experience, not people caring too much about their rank/etc. The problem is the newbies (people like myself with under 100 hours) are CONSISTENTLY going against killers with hundreds, if not thousands of hours, and when they switch to killer they get put up against experience survivors instead of the newer players they're supposed to be up against. It's fundamentally broken, and they're looking into a fix.

There are certain things that aren't working as intended. It has been noted and we're aware and looking into.
Some changes have been made to the backend and I think there will be further changes happening, but that's nothing I can really confirm. Once we have more information, it will be shared with the community.
