The game has been on console for at least two years, it didn't "literally just release".
The value you hold on rank doesn't matter anymore. Again, it is not used in matchmaking anymore.

You can argue it's viability all you want, but it means nothing if it isn't being implemented into matchmaking.

If you’re going by what the devs “said” then that means the rank 20 Oni I versed last night with 2 perks who didn’t know how to kick a generator, dash and barely got swinging down is on the same level as someone with 3-4K hours is ludicrous. And that match was 50+ games in
Or is the rank 13 Pig I faced yesterday, who thought they could mind game the shack with a pallet down, and literally thought they could “mind game” by stepping in and out of the window was going to work....they’re on the same level right?
If the devs don’t feel ranks matter, they should be removed. If there’s a new ranking system, then there should be tiers (think rainbow six) and everyone should know where they are, if they progressed or not, what the basic parameters for that are, etc.
saying a new system is working behind the scenes with no transparency is a joke.

that's just false, no MMR system ever has matched players of all skills to settle, that would be a dumb thing to do anyway, normally an MMR system starts everyone in the middle and matches you against players within a range of your MMR, it should never place you against someone who is way higher or way lower, ever, unless the player base was so tiny you had to, which is not the case here, the system is broken, it's known it's broken, quit peddling false info you picked out your booty hole
