Are there more and more hackers in the game ?

So just today in the steams forums i saw a thread about a killer that would freeze when trying to hook a survivor.
I told them to get evidence (video is better) and create a support ticker to report them aswell as reporting them in-game.
And the game after that, i faced the exact same hack. Tried to hook that No Mither survivor, and couldn't hook or attack or drop him when i hit the "hook" option. As a test i went after an other survivor and it went normal.
Long story short he was hacking and so one of his friend in the game, which was made obvious by the fact out of 4 survivors two of them had a 56ms ping and the two others had over 700ms.

It wasn't like that a few months back, there was some bugs abusers but not that much hackers.
I mean there is also the really frequent hack that allows survivors to go throught walls and ground, which i also encountered not so long ago.

So is it me or there are more and more hackers in the game ? (no name shaming)

I wouldn't call them hackers...using a lag switch..or a script.. isn't hacking at all..but yes there has been more script kiddies and cheaters

But is it lagswitch if they freeze me in place and they still can recover ?
i mean using anything that isn't whitelisted by BHVR and that gives you an real unfair advantage over others players (not only the killer but also the survivors) basically a hack ?
As for answering it, i guess you did since you tell me there are more scrpt and hack users then before ^^

Ya lagswitch can freeze killer or make it so you can't even hook them and then they can wiggle out, n nah it still isn't a "hack" a hack would be them breaking into the system or exploiting a in game bug to win/abuse them would be more hacks. A script isn't a hack just a script that is programmed to throttle speeds which only actually effects the person using it actually. It isn't actually doing anything to anybody else nor the server. Where a hack would affect the server and the players.

If you see this best thing to take is report the user and send a email about it with some sort of proof.

Had the same a few days ago. Looks like, all of them are rujnning No Mither, cause of the recovery (i had two of them at the same time).
Also, i had 3 times Stedia-Player, wearing Legacy-Outfits, with everything just insta: Insta-Heal, Insta-Sabo, Insta-Gen, being able to hook themself and - of course - unhook themself too.

Yeah it's quite easy to recognize them coz they use No Mither, but also Unbreakable and Soul Guard. So know if i ever play with or against a No Mither player i'll just record ^^

last weekend I've been accused of hacking on Xbox, because the killer couldn't hook me after pulling me of a palett. I record all of my matches just in case and delete them after some days, when nothing special happened, so I watched that match and he downed me BEFORE I was even able to jump over that palett 😮 I've asked him, if he was talking to the right person. He said it was that Meg and since I was the only Meg I'm really wondering what happened. After downing me, he didn't even try to pick me up to carry me to a hook, I was lying next to a downed Bill until someone came to pick us up. I wouldn't even know how to hack, I'm glad that I know how to start the game 😂

I was booted from a game as a killer once, the cheat detection said i had modified files or something stupid like that. I only had the game a few weeks and hadnt even bothered to look at the files in Steam_apps, so i know it was bs. On top of that there was a survivor that was able to fail a gen qte, at an interval of 0.5 seconds repeatedly, making a cacophony of explosion noises, that player was also noticeably faster than the other and when i did manage to hook one of the survivors is when i was immediately booted.

I had that error as killer aswell ! Was it the error 4 ? Actually remember now that you say it that i also had a survivor making noise over and over when it happened.

If its the thing where your character freezer in front of the hook, but the survivor can wiggle and get off, its actually a lagswitcher, not a hacker, yet its still forbiden and banable.
You have 3 possible optiens then: slug him do death (most of the time theyll dc then)
Dont go for him at all until the end game
Or my favorite that worked (for me) most of the time: rehook him right away, try to force him to abuse his lag switch. Why? Because they can end up dcing from the game with a bad connection and its so funny (but not sure if you can trigger the dc 100% of the time tho)
You face it try to record and report him :)

As for slugging let's say it's hard since those dcliqhsdqsd are using no mither/unbreakable/soul guard.
So they know they are untouchable.
Also i never understood how lagswitching is possible as unplugging your internet would cut it and you normally would be DCed from the game ahah

Lag switch is just overloading your connection....like opening 30 websites at once or starting multiple downloads
But since it can dc you it has some kind of risk.
Yeah slug with no mither is hard, but doable, try to focus on the others then and give the guy a hit if you come accros him

well the thing is when i played i had 2 of them lagswitching also pretty sure they were also using a tap hack as he tped from in front of me to behind me or just disappeared in thin air in mid chase.

So idk why only survivor hackers are being brought up when killers hack just as often with fewer reprecussions. Many killers just get slaps on the wrists like one day bans for hacking or *cough cough* aimbot huntresses. I personally believe that theres equal amounts of hackers on both sides, but with the old system I would depip to stay away from all the re rank aimbot huntresses. Even worse are the ones who are live doing sus ######### who literally stream themselves aimbotting. Like, bruh W H Y.
