Hillbilly's snowball potential is insane and overheat mechanic does nothing to prevent that
I was happy with changes but after release changes hillbilly is pretty much same as he was before. He's able to just chainsaw 4 people in a minute without overheating his chainsaw and this is wrong. Overheating should create window for survivors to breath and not just only cosmetic. Good solution would be instant overheat when you down a survivor, so you can't quickly rotate to another side of the map and down another survivor

the overheat was to prevent face camping with chainsaw and rev spamming. Hillbilly is a snowball killer of course he has good potential. Learn to play around his chainsaw its not that hard, just play safe and dont greed loops to much

If you implement that change, Hillbilly will cease to be. The whole point of this killer is map pressure and snowball potential. People were fine with his base kit before the rework, it was mainly the instant saw and crack Billy addons which needed nerfing. He is supposed to shine when survivors get caught out of position and punish over altruism. With the rework, his snowball potential is slightly nerfed due to the strongest addon combos being gone. Yes its still possible to chainsaw 4 survivors in a row if they all group together in a spot, but you have to be very precise and not miss any saws or you risk overheating. Again, having all 4 survivors in a single place is really questionable. If the game has turned into a slug game, crawl away and split up, over altruism against a instant down killer is a very bad idea.

By that logic, would you want Nurse to be unable to blink for ~30 seconds after she downs a survivor? Hag to have all her traps disappear? Myers to revert to tier 1? Plague to lose corrupt purge? Oni's power to drain completely?
What the player decides to do after downing someone should not be a reason to nerf a killer.
2 -
Nurse need a nerf, but let's talk about her later. every other killer have cooldown/setup time for their power. Hillbilly chainsaw is infinite. Eternal Never ending. That's why it needs something

Now now. That last one actually happened.

How about you go to a pallet loop? Problem solved. His snowball isn't that good.
2 -
if you go to a pallet loop his chansaw will cool down after 10s so instant overheat won't hurt him anyway
0 -
You do realise that he can't use his chainsaw at pallet loops, if you're half decent. He can only curve at VERY specific loops, and if he chainsaws you at a loop, it's entirely your fault.

i do. what's your point? potential to end game at any moment in the game is okay for you? Any other killer has something that limits hem, and overheat should limit billy in this situation and it doesnt work
0 -
You can't end a game at any moment with Billy, if he goes for a infectious snowball and runs into a good survivor, they will loop him for days.
1 -
there is two if's in your sentence. Hillbilly can end games quick even if one survivor made a mistake. As i said, if he downed someone and you loop him, overheat cooldown is miniscule and barely noticable but if there are 2-3 survivors in the open he won't be able to kill them all and end game super fast because this is not fun for both sides. So why don't you like my suggestion?

I'm pretty sure this wasn't stated to be the reason, but it does affect only this part of his power in addition to killers who just like to try curves without caring if they're being effective or not. In short: it was a nerf to more casual, YOLO fun and an educational update on teaching killers how to camp better.

you people are so goofy, maybe learn to play against billy and it wont be a problem, pro tip, learn to play windows and he cant chainsaw you ;) if you go down to his chainsaw its 100% your fault

im killer main and my statement is clear and simple: Billy should not be able to use his chansaw that much
0 -
Killers can't snowball if survivors split up. If you get snowballed by a M1 killer, you have no one but yourself to blame.

in all honesty the vast majority of people did not have a issue with base kit billy just add ons and specfic add on combos he is a very strong 1v1 killer but does have glaring weaknesses and counters. The overheat mechanic is a mystery for me but its in and the billy players will have to adpat to that, but it does not need to be changed it is fine as is and billy is still a strong 1v1 killer and still from the sound of things from other people alot of fun to play as and against.

So they nerfed him a little i guess this will work. Im glad devs are agree with me he needs a nerf

Trapper has probably the best snowball potiential in the game. He's still one of the worst killers. Should we nerf him too?
0 -
Yeah, agreed. And if Huntress downs someone with a hatchet, she should immediately drop all the ones she has left. Can't have killers getting more than one down in a row, amirite?
2 -
Lol sick of survs winning.Already I will use Oni instead of Billy. Hi much powerful now
0 -
so you guys know trapper needs a lot of preparation to make his power work and huntress have to reload right? don't be dumb Billy is the only killer with insane mobility and insta down without any limitations
0 -
The only valuable information that I see in this post is the fact that trapper needs some buffs and overhauls.
3 -
Sounds like you just need to git gud :(
