Key and mori rework idea
I'd submit that keys and moris would be equalized and balanced with the following changes:
- keys do not spawn from chests. ever.
- the purple key is changed so that it only opens the hatch for ONE survivor. no one else. the red one opens it for all.
- remove the add ons allowing you to keep the key on death, or keep it after it is used to escape.
- the hatch now ONLY spawns if all gens are done, OR if there's only one survivor left.
- add a new offering that allows the hatch to spawn through the old method.
- Nerf the DS/unbreakable combo in such a way that moris are no longer the only counter to them. (Note: NO, letting the survivor go does not qualify as a counter, no more than "don't do gens" is a counter to surveillance or overcharge.)
- IF all that is done, THEN change moris so you can only kill on death hook.

7 shouldn't be a conditional.
Keys being a problem is no excuse to not fix moris.

DS and Unbreakable would be less of an issue if only 1 survivor could equip it at a time. Make survivors coordinate loadouts.

they're the equivalent items for both sides, but keys are slightly stronger at the moment and reward people who immerse without doing gens and get their teammates killed. with moris, you at least get rewarded if you hook someone and down them a second time. Come to think of it, maybe a good alternative could be that a key should only work for a player who's been doing gens. like if it gets charged or something?
So yes, it should be conditional.

Mori, dead on hook
Keys, can only use in the endgame by the last surviver

No that's not how this works.
You only make one change contingent on another when they impact each other in some way.
For example, the Decisive Strike rework that introduced obsession switching was followed up by a Dying Light rework because Dying Light was made weaker by the DS change.
Or alternatively, brutal strength needed to be nerfed in response to overall pallet breaking speeds going up back in the day.
The point here is that you'd only make a mori nerf contingent on a key nerf if the key nerf somehow was making mori's a problem.
However that's not the case here, Mori's are a problem with or without keys, so thus Mori's need to be nerfed with or without keys. It doesn't matter if they are equivalent, since equivalent things can still have different levels of power.
For example sloppy butcher is equivalent to botany knowledge, but botany knowledge is more impactful due to it's higher numbers (20% vs 33%). And meanwhile NOED is equivalent to Adrenaline, but NOED is the stronger perk.
But either way, just because something's equivalent is getting nerfed that isn't a reason for it to be nerfed. We wouldn't nerf sloppy if botany was reduced to 20%. Instead, we would only do a nerf if both perks happen to be independently too strong.
It's the same deal here. If mori's are a problem, which they are, then mori's should be nerfed regardless of any other changes, unless those other changes somehow make mori's no longer a problem which a key nerf does not.
Sticking a nerf to keys or mori's behind a conditional just makes both of them harder to implement any actual changes for.
TLDR: Even if keys aren't fixed mori's are still a problem.

problem i have with this is keys should be for aura reading only. no hatch. why should the survivor be rewarded a escape for failing the objective of holding r1 lmfao. and remove ebony moris and keep ivory mori

Sigh, it’s so obvious to me that you are a killer main.. focusing only on nerfing survivors.. what if i turned it around?
- For this to be fair, survivors should also be able to see Moris in lobbies. We all know that as soon as a survivor dare to bring a key as things are now (green, red, purple) he will get tunneled and Moried to death before he even gets to look at a gen...
- Fine, as Long as all weapon/addons and perks that allows killers to kill a survivor by their hands gets removed from the game. Leaving only green and ebony Moris.
- remove the addons that lets killers down you in only one hit
- the ebony mori now ONLY activates when all survivors have been hooked at least once...
do you see where I am going with this? fixing only one side of the problem is not going to balance anything. I completely agree that BOTH Moris and keys need a rework, but I do not agree with only focusing on one side of it. Ebony Moris are far more Common than keys in the bloodweb, and the combination of tunneling and Moris are sucking all fun out of the game for survivors, just as much as keys are ruining the fun on the killer side... If this game is going to have a chance to be balanced, we need to tend to issues affecting both sides.

Wait but Survivors are toxic. Get rid of them too
2 -
Not gonna lie, reason I left them out is because it oughta pit all 4 survivors against each other in a free for all survivoral. But yea, they can be toxic to each other not just to a killer. Which is sad.
