Why are survivors toxic
So something ive noticed while being a viewer on the boards climbing to red ranks on killer and playing survivor to prepare for cross plat ive noticed that no matter what you do they will complain. they will complain even if they are the ones forcing scenarios they complain about. what am i to do if i hook someone and their is 2 of you right next to him waiting for me to leave. give up the free hook? their are more examples but they all lead back to the same issue. no matter what the killer does you the survivor player base got something to complain about it. and im wondering how would they want us to play?

They don't. Most of the most vocal and biased ones would rather you be a bot on easy mode like a cardboard cut out in a haunted house and no real threat at all.

I've seen that too tbh. It's frustrating with how loud they yell.

You will learn that the less educated a person is, the more likely they are to try and spread their view. You will also learn that infants scream the loudest. If you ever have the pleasure of raising a teen, they will want to be tested like an adult and will complain that they’re not but the thing is, that usually means they are being treated like an adult.

You complain. They complain. Everyone complain. True.

I don't know if you are a killer or survivor main, but if you are a killer main just starting out, you'll just get used to it.
Eventually, you'll learn to play by your rules, not by their rules.
For example, camping and tunneling can be justified in certain scenarios. Every strategy the killer has, can be justified.
Tip as a main killer here: play for performance, not for kills. This means, aim to get a merciless/ruthless killer.
I was also once a newbie, and I played for getting a 4k. Then, you realize that you can get a 4k but not the peak performance. Which means, you can kill 4 people but you could have played better.
Also, if you play aiming for peak performance, you'll become a less toxic player. I give you my word.

I'm a survivor main. I'm not very good, but I play fair and don't indulge in toxic behavior. The ONLY time I will is when I get abused on the hook and somehow am able to escape, which is minimal. I find about 75% play fair too and that I appreciate.

😂You're complaining about them complaining😂
Who cares if they get the person off the hook

Whats your point? Im more asking a question of what would it take so the survivors dont just through a tantrum every other game

Im a red rank killer been playing game for 3 months and this is what ive seen from playing the game and watching others play.

You can't make it right for everybody since satisfaction and fun are subjective and while some complain about something in one game, the next group won't say anything and the group after that might even praise you for it.
A good example is being a friendly/farming/fair killer, take your pick here. Some survivor will complain that you don't play the game like intended and it is not fun for them, some will just play and say nothing and then others will even thank you for the relaxed round of a non toxic Mori killer.
So just like others said, ignore everything coming from the opposition being it killer or survivor and just play for your own goals, be that 4k, merciless or like me bp and provide the other side with an entertaining round.

So what your saying is go ahead and be toxic cause survivors will already say your toxic.

I told you my point
or better yet if you don't want to hear their tantrum every other game don't get sucked in to it. learn how to Ignore them😀

As someone who plays both sides but more so survivor, I will let you in on Survivor and Killer Raging.
This games developers cannot find a balanced way to make both sides equal. They buff survivors but in turn nerf killers. They buff killers but in turn nerf survivors. It's frustrating. Survivors tend to let out their frustration in game while killers come to cry in the forums.
Both sides complain just as equally, it's just a matter of where they do it.

If that is what you take away from it. But I for my part try to play so that everyone can enjoy even if they are to a degree toxic to me. Someone has to start to break the cycle otherwise it will never stop similar to bigger real-life problems.
I also tunnel people down but only when they tried to bodyblock teammate's, so when they are toxic between each other. I got bullied in school, I can take their toxicity without batting an eye and simply ignore it.
Maybe part of it is that I played wow and league of legends were I thought for myself that I have to try for the other 4 people I play together with even if I don't have the most of fun at the given moment.
I may stand alone with this attitude towards group/team based games and even shackle myself by thinking I HAVE to provide.a certain amount of skill to not be a burden but when playing killer I am alone but still can be civil towards the enemy.

Want to know a secret? It ain't just the survivors who are toxic in this game.

Honestly, nothing. Which is why it’s best to avoid it to begin with instead of complaining that they’re complaining. I took extra measures to avoid the toxicity from both sides by setting my privacy options to “friends only” for messages. I also have my friend requests shut off so they can’t slip through the cracks and find a way around communicating their toxicity to me by attaching a message with their friend request.

Yeah, this is my perception too. Killers don’t usually complain in end game chat because it’s 4 vs 1, so they complain on the forums or reddit or in certain streams about their grievances, because they know they’ll find people to agree with them. Survivors can gang up on killers about their frustrations in end game chat so they do it there and then don’t bother with venting online as much.

90% of toxicity in games and in messages come from survivors

With killers if you mess up normally its on you. And thiers no one else to blame and when a killer talks ######### in the time ive played i have had it happen to me once.

your 90% statistic is 100% false

Sadly, that's how the game it is. Toxic as hell.

Alot of people are just trying to bait a reaction out of you or generally are bad at the game and refuse to get better. Stop taking them seriously just take it as something you can laugh at.
