Noed needs to be removed, or changed.
No one escapes death is one of, if not the most unfair perks for killers. I think that when the last gen is done, the survivors have pretty much won. (except for some situations.) Noed completely negates this, and could get a killer a 4k when nobody has been hooked all game. Combine this with the fact that it is not a killer-specific perk, and can be used by new players, makes it all to common and totally unfair for survivors. It gets even worse if you combine it with blood warden, both of which together make the nastiest combination of perks in the game. I would change noed to make it a regular perk instead of a hex, but make it so that the killers lunge increases by 50% and reduces recovery time on basic attacks, so they could win a chase easier, but still give survivors a chance. Thoughts?

Noed is fine, do more bones.

Um, no? The survivors have NOT won until they successfully exit the gate. Your logic is faulty. Let me point out more fuzzy, half-baked logic. All Noed does is make you and the other suffer from the Exposed status. It means you can be downed with a single hit. There are quite a few Killers who can do that to you from the very start of the game. It is built into them. They don't even have to waste a Perk Slot. There are other Killers who have Add-ons and triggers that do the same. There is Haunted Ground that will do the SAME thing but even dirtier.
The only reason Noed FEELS wrong to you is because you foolishly get this rush of hope and then have to fight your way out. Noed is, in fact, much nicer to you than MANY of the much worse abilities. Why? You know when it happens. There is no surprise. You have the entire game to cleanse those Totems so you make sure the Killer wasted his Perk, and get bonus Objective points for doing it. Even if Noed goes off the Killer STILL has to hit you, and usually when the last generator goes up the Killer has to choose the right gate that most of you are going to run to or they simply miss you. So get over yourself, keep your rage to yourself the way an adult does. We should be dignified and humble in victory, and gracious and polite in defeat. Learn the game. You will find there are things that terrify and annoy a lot more than Noed.

Oh my god
DO TOTEMS

Just do bones. You can’t just wish to remove things that you can’t beat. Learn how to counter it by doing bones and you won’t have to worry about it

noed = unfair
ds,unbreakable, soul guard, adrenawin, dead hard, borrowed time, sprint burst = fair
but yeah, lets give chance to the survivors by nerfing the only one second chance perk of the killer, i dont see any problem.
i also dont see any problem using sprint burst, ds, unbreakable and soul guard in a game that gives your 3 lives, i see nothing wrong here.
damn, even friday the 13th game its more balanced than this one and you have only 1 live here, ######### please.

I think i will copy and paste this text whenever i see a player complain about Noed lol
1 -
why is it so hard to do more bones the perk fine.
7 -
I’m going to assume you’re a new player and inform you that cleansing all 5 totems on the map is what removes NOED.
If you’re solo queuing, I suggest you try running the perk “Small Game”.
It gives you a noise notification when looking in the direction of a dull totem.
NOED is a balanced perk. Some may argue it’s a “crutch” perk, but people have the right to use it just like Survivors have the right to use what others would call their “crutch” perks.

Do bones, scrub

Do bones
Bring a map
Bring Small Game
Bring Detectives Hunch
Bring Plunderers Instinct
Ask your team to look out for bones in the pregame chat
Leave the map when final gen is completed rather than risk saving someone else
Hide right when the final gen is completed and keep out of LOS while you look for the sparkly totem
Always assume the Killer is running NoEd
Bring one or more of the many second chance perks that Survivors have in order to give yourself a better chance
The game isn't over until you get to the score screen, you're not entitled to escape just because the gens are done. Heck, it is possible to just hide during the match while your team completes the gens if you have one or two competent loopers.

I think that when the last gen is done, the survivors have pretty much won.
And yet end-game perks exist... Adrenaline, Hope, No One Left Behind, Wake Up!, Blood Warden, NOED, Rancor, Remember Me.
1 -
Give up DS and you can gladly take away NOED. Most killers don't even use it at high ranks. Almost all survivors use DS at high rank.
1 -
I find Small Game kinda poopoo and I actually find Detective's Hunch way better. If you bring a green map, even if it has no "Track killer belongings" addons, the totems shown from Detective's Hunch will be added to the map.
2 -
I’ve gotta try this.
1 -
NOED goes if DS goes.

I just find the aura reading from Detective's Hunch way better since it shows the totem's auras. You can rush over to the nearest totem, stare at another totem mid-cleansing to make a mental image of it, and then cleanse that totem too. Being able to see gen locations is also pretty good for minimizing accidental 3-gens.
Small Game is like using a metal detector. I find I waste too much time and I've had incidents where even with Small Game I wasn't able to find the last totem. it's also a pain in the ass to use on maps with multiple floors like THE GAME or Midwich since it's harder to narrow down which floor the totem is on. The warning also procs for stuff like Hag and Trapper Traps, Freddy Snares/Fake Pallets, etc. so there's a lot of clutter vs those killers when you're looking for a totem. Reminds me of trying to track targets via radar in flight sims and you have to try and filter out the actual enemy aircraft from friendlies, ground reflections, cloud reflections, etc. You want that totem and not Demo's portals but they both activate Small Game.
EDIT: Detective's Hunch also has a very large range and can be increased with Open Handed. Small Game has an ok range but it's not nearly map-wide like Detective's Hunch is.

If your argument for one perk is bringing up another perk, then you have zero argument. Which, I think is pretty obvious.
NOED isn't really a problem unless the killer manages to hook someone on the totem. You can find the totem, destroy it, and BT out the camped person. Worst case scenario you lose one person and 3 escape if you let them/they kill themselves. I don't see how being down an entire perk the whole game until the end is a big deal. The longer you play this game, the more you understand exactly where totems will spawn more or less, outside a few tricky ones.
Again, if a killer is running NOED, they're probably not a very good killer and will probably only walk out with 1 kill if the survivors are competent.

all good points.

I'm not making an argument because this topic is brought up everyday. You'll probably find another NOED thread within the hour.
Anyway you seem to agree with me NOED isn't an issue.
1 -
hey, as someone who plays both sides, noed is fair.
honestly you should never assume you've "won" just because you got all the gens done. as survivor, when the last gen is done, i know that's just part 1 of the game. part 2 is the endgame part of the game. in fact, in good games, most of the match is played in endgame because the killer can finally get some momentum after how easy and quick it is for the survivors to just sit on gens while their teammates are being chased.
my advice is: if you're walking along the map looking for a gen and you come across a totem, take a few seconds to cleanse it. i promise you can take a few seconds from your routine of rushing the gens as fast as possible to cleanse a totem. there's only five.

If you get hit by NOED, you're just a bad survivor.
1 -
Noed is fine what needs changing is solo swf gap.
1 -
Wow someone didn't have a copy paste answer, nice!

Wow that's a lot of text for someone who's completely wrong. Doing bones is a waste of time, case and point. Just get out as fast as possible and noed is useless.

NOED is A+ in the killer tier list. It kills more survs than a lot of killers.
0 -
NOED isn't rewarding poor gameplay from Killers:
- Killer has to play the trial with only 3 perks before the doors are activated.
- The perk can be fully deactivated by survivors
- If the killer has no luck in hooking many survivors before the doors are activated, then the survivors should have been able to cleanse totems without feeling pressure, thus, not giving the NOED edge to the killer. It's on them if it activates.
- If survivors allow the killer to get a 4K with NOED in the end game, I would argue that survivors made mistakes during their end game plays or didn't prepare for the potential NOED activation.
Finally, if you don't want to play NOED, it's your prerogative. In my opinion, building a build that is strong in end game isn't rewarding failure, it is using perks for their intended purposes. The purpose of NOED is to give a killer a burst of strength in end game. Since it's effectively strong, survivors have the power to deactivate it, if they focus secondary objectives.
The killer players choosing to play NOED are banking on a burst of strength at the end for the downside of playing with 3 perks the rest of the game and having a chance to have their perk deactivated. It's a high risk, high reward scenario."
Do bones.

The problem with what you said is... NOED is actually quite weak compared to a lot of other killer perks. Sure, it exposes survivors, but if you did bones it wouldn't be a problem.
It is a hex perk for a reason. So you can cleanse it and fight back against it. It's really not that hard.
0 -
If they had to nerf it I would suggest maybe get rid of the extra speed boost that it grants you as I think that is a little too much IMO.
Otherwise it is fine.

Just do bones, it literally requires 0 skill.

Noed isnt even good lol, source:
0 -
Thats....disgustingly false. The most run perk for good killers involve increasing your ability to chase and end chases effectively. New killers are the ones who waste a perk slot because they can't chase effectively enough to kill 4 people before NoED goes off....
Enduring, and Spirit fury are easily the most played killer perks from skilled high level players. Oh and bamboozle and pop goes the weasel.
Nobody worth their salt who's played killer for an extensive amount of time puts noED in their top slot....
NoED is 1 down and 1 hook because everybody who sees it in play will immediately leave.

This.

Two things. One, noed is fair, and so is ds. And two, not saying everyone does this, but a lot, if not most, killer players will tunnel if theres no obsession, making it essential in high ranks, where killers know no obsession=no ds. The only problem with ds is comboing it with unbreakable.
0 -
Endgame builds that require noed make the killer bad? I think everyone's tried out noed plus bloodwarden before.
0 -
Exactly. It's pretty much required with bloodwarden.
0 -
2 words, detective hunch
0 -
It's badly designed. You can hold the killer for 5 gens but you may die in the end on first hook because the killer suddenly gets a super boost for sucking, pretty fair and fun for survivor(kappa).

My god that man had a family!
joking aside this is one of the best posts here lol

My only issue with DS is lockers and when people deliberately go towards the killer BECAUSE they have ds. Often I hook survivor A, I leave. Find survivor B, someone saves A, I hook survivor B and before I can even walk away Survivor A makes a save right in front of me. I assume B has BT+DS so I go after A. Survivor A has DS or unbreakable. In that situation I am forced to eat a DS. There is no right answer on who to chase. Both will waste my time and I don't have as much as the survivors.

It's funny how the community manages to do stupid things equally on both sides.
On killer side: No obsession = free tunnel
On survivor: one offering not turning = Mori so better DC, even more so without penalties right now
FYI: I am a middle rank killer who makes it his policy not to tunnel or camp, since on side has to start but I still find it funny when I use a yellow Mori or a shroud and they instantly DC. I don't use green or pink mori since from my experience I get lucky with a swf that will simply trash me and I waste it. Plus they cost too much bp in the bloodweb to efficiently level.
0 -
Same. I have 30 moris on nurse alone lol
0 -
Thats the only counter to moris though. In event of a mori, thats completely fair. Any other time tho, that is a problem.
0 -
DS gets used more than moris if you ask me. The only time I bring a mori is if I have a daily. If Im using Devour Hope and I get 5 stacks I feel I earned that because they knew I was running it by the 3rd stack.
0 -
This is true. But I'm saying that ds in a locker is the only counter to moris.
