Allow the killer to know if he is going against a SWF team

This is the fix to SWF. If the killer knows that the group he is facing is a bunch of solo players, he knows he can afford to learn a new killer and if it is a 4 man swf, it is time to use a good build on a good killer. This would require the killer to be able to make the difference between a 2 man SWF and a 4 man SWF. So basically, what would happen is: all the nice solo survivors get nice killers that are not tryharding, and the toxic 4 man SWF get mori killers that they cannot bully.

This would also help nice players to stay nice: killers would know when to tryhard or not, so all the new players will get nice players. Since they would think killers are nice, they will play nice in return. For the 3-4 man SWF players, well they are most likely toxic base kit, and even if the killers are nice, they are probably to entitled to get away from their crutch perks, so let all the killer toxicity fall on them.

In the end, this would get killers to have counter against SWF, while allowing solo players to avoid all the sweaty killers. Add it and SWF is fixed, solo players will have way more fun and killers will be able to know if it is the good time to learn a new killer.

This has been frequently discussed before. The general jist is that due to the balance issues swf on comms brings it is highly likely they would get dodged for ages.

The devs do not want to prevent people from being able to play with their friends so this feature most likely will never come.

Makes me chuckle though, because on the one hand a lot of people claim that SWF is not an issue and it is not unfair, on the other hand they fear that the non-issue would be avoided like the plague. Doesn´t really make sense does it?

Currenty Killers are still locked after qeueing so it wouldn´t help much anyway. Hag vs 4 flashlights anyone?

@Slashstreetboy the thing is: maybe remove killer lock, which is dumb, and also killers would not necessarily dodge, but rather put a better killer and a stronger build.

Swf should only be allowed in custom games.

I think can be good to know instead if you have faced a team in the post game score data.

Be careful what you wish for:

If SWF were relegated to custom games, a wave of near universal killer nerfs and survivor buffs would soon follow... probably targeting reducing he killer's ability to find survivors, track survivors and the gen progression of survivors.

Killer-mains seem to cut the argument both ways: They despise SWF as cheating and easy wins, they say that SWF results in unwinnable game, but then fail to concede that SWF wins are contributing to the statistical balance data being used to balance the game. If you remove SWF, you remove a key pillar that props up the survivor's overall win percentage to justify all these recent killer buffs.

Survivors don't get to adjust their Survivor choice based upon knowledge or rank of the Killer, so why should the Killer be able to customize their killer selection based upon information in the pre-game lobby?

Well first off it doesn´t really matter which survivor skin you use if you have the perks on them that you want. And secondly it was specifically designed as such. Survivors get the oppurtunity to exchange useful information and plans while the Killer is granted the chance to adjust the loadout if needed.

Honestly I don´t even think that´s unfair even when I play survivor. Your opinion may differ but in the end it´s the way the devs intended it to be at the core of their lobby design.

This is a feedback forum where we discuss ideas and give feedback, regardless of Developer intentions. Hence your attempt to refute my suggestion based on the status-quo is quite an interesting tight rope to walk in a place that is fundamentally built on the assumption that the Developer isn't perfect and things can always be better.

Add a lobby UI for SWF survivors.

Add a BP bonus to Killers snd solo survivors who play against/together with SWFs, the bonus scaling depending on how many survivors are in a SWFs.

    Profit!

And people worrying about lobby dodging. There will be lobby dodging in the beginning but the last stats we got about SWFs showed that 70%+ of all games got a SWF in it, the dodging would drop pretty fast. Killers wanna play and playing the "SWFs in the lobby - I gotta do the dodgy" game ain't it.

I´ll frame this as a permanent reminder of your infantility.

So... you called me an Infant for pointing out a logical fallacy in your response and illustrating the point by applying the same principle to other contexts? You do know that using ad hominem attacks is a fast way to lose a debate, right?

Honestly I don't mind, I just wish you used a better insult; Infant is the type of lackluster insult I'd expect from a person between the ages of 13 and 21-years old, who is simply trying too hard to sound smarter and more mature than they really are.

Though I must admit, I am pretty flattered that you felt my post was frame-worthy - You've made my day! ☺️

All I read was "killers got buffed because SWF is OP". I'm glad you're in agreement.

I mean if I play hag or wraith and see 4 flashlights I am probably gonna dodge. Sure its not impossible to win. But unless its the weekends im just trying to "chill" and not have an extra difficult match.

Any other killer and see that many flashlights I will just equip lightborne and have a silly match.

@ChirpingCat just remove or change things like mori offerings and camping. You cannot do the same for SWF, because it will hurt the playerbase.
