Thats a hard question but you seem reasonable I'd like to discuss this with you more. But currently as it stands if younger swf you will nerf solo which is worse than killer.
The best course of action would be to buff solo and then buff killers accordingly.

ds + unbreakable has no counterplay

They are one time used. Also whataboutism. Against ds and unbreakable slug them. If you find another survivor force them back to the slugged person and now they cant pop unbreakable. Or just let them waste it once it's gone it's gone. Regardless of unbreakable you gain slug pressure which people seem to forget about.

Not to intrude since it's off topic but something beiing 1 time use doesn't justify it beiing oppressively strong. Green mori used to be 1 time use instakill without conditions and it beiing 1 time use didn't somehow justify it's existence.
Also how do you get slug pressure from someone who has unbreakable and can pick themselfs up when slug pressure come from forcing someone else off gens to pick them up. You'd need to babysit them for a whole minute to prevent the unbreakable which is game losing decision, you need to leave them and you won't be getting pressure from them since they'll pick themselfs up for free.

Green mori deleted someone from the game early which was a guarenteed loss. With ds/uh you can go whole games without using them by not tunneling. If you have bbq go for someone else you are now in chase with someone who doesnt have them active.
You gain slug pressure because someone is off gens. Like I said that fact is ignored for some odd reason. You dont need to babysit them and once their ub is gone slug em again more free pressure.

I could agree with deathslinger tho, if you are being looped by him, and he gets moments to shoot you, he kinda just gets free zoning just for the fact he has that power, you don’t even need to aim your gun and survivors will try to juke you and cause them to lose distance. Literally free zoning just for existing.
This is just saying no counter in chase, he in general is a slow killer and can be gen rushed very easy, but doesn’t change it just is boring and frustrating to go against.

What a lot of these threads boil down to still seems to be a cry to reduce the killer pool down to 2-4 killers total, if even that many. in a way it's like as if people would complain 'why did they make more than on slasher horror movie ever, all they do is kill teenagers'

Not sure what you mean without providing specific examples.
He doesn't need to zone you, he can down 4 survivors much faster than Pyramid Head ever could. Especially when PH doesn't have a one-shot and cannot zoom across the map.

Them not getting used is guaranteeing suboptimal plays from killer, even switching targets is a waste of time when you could have already had someone on hook if not for those perks. That in itself can be stronger then getting their effects to activate, especially since you don't even have to have them equiped yourself to get part of their effects. I can easily say that I've had many games where I faced ebony mories that didn't get used because survivors looped and did gens faster then killer could use his mori. Just because something doesn't get used doesn't make it fine.
You are getting pressure of only 25% of the team which is hardly enough if you realise that you need to switch targets and that you aren't getting anything permanent from catching them in the first place. Overall it'll be more time lost them gained.

Since the only counter to wraith is in addon and I can't tell what killer I'm going up against, pls nerf wraith, his invisibility and reduced terror radius has no counterplay.

both Deathslinger and pyramid head not having counters is inaccurate, watch a different variety of videos for my point , i play both Surv and killer equally , with death slinger just literally drop a pallet between you and him at a somewhat decent loop and he can do NOTHING about it , Pyramid head has more loop pressure yes, but the counter to that is just to be not predictable as pyramid head needs to predict where you go to get a hit on you , if you're too predictable he hits you simple as, i personally hope the new killer takes inspiration from the last two killers (tho a new stealth killer would be nice too though :3)

You want a new meta its easy second chance perk need to go and bbq and pgtw need a nerf see i just remove the best 5 or 6 perk for survivor and butcher the killer at the same time a new meta will forme for sure

It has become a worrisome trend. The worst thing is that these killers are all extremely fun to play. But strong/lacking counterplay to the point of extreme boredom for the other side.
I can only assume its due to them having so many different powers. I'd prefer they go back to a Hill billly style of power design (not including that dumb meter change). Killers who are fine at a base level but situationally strong.

The trend that Spirit, Slinger and PH have? Between Spirit and Slinger were 5 other killers. Put "old nurse" into your list as well to make it even more viable...

The killers you cited have counterplay. Deathslinger's terror radius/music needs tweaking. Tunnelhead needs to not be able to easily cancel his power. Other than those things, they're fine. If you want to talk killers with no counterplay, it's Spirit. Her only counter is to run a perk (Iron Will) that she can then counter with a perk of her own (Stridor). That definitely needs to be changed. No one should have to run a perk to counter a killer. So, let's see if this new one offers that. If not, I'll join you on the complaint train.

i honestly think it comes down to the latest few killers cannot be countered by your run of the mill looping , you actually need to have a strategy and if you dont your safety blanket of just looping around the same pallet is Null and void , which is a good thing , not ALL killers should be able to be looped around the same pallet to waste 1 or 2 minutes of their time a piece, now THAT is boring.

spirit has a counter without IW in 'be very quiet' as silly as it sounds. If you hear her phasing sound, stand perfectly still/sneak. This is, of course, also is done away with with stridor.

To miss his M2 he has to actually try to land M2s outside of the survivor being in an animation lock. The vast majority of PHs will only use their M2 if the survivor uses a pallet or a window.

Easily the most oppressive, mindless use of power killer in game. If you watch 3 gens, theres almost no way to fail.

I'm pretty much done with this thread but want to say one thing i think they have counter play you don't that's fine but you also said they have no chase counter play all you can do is genrush them hard ok now......
i hope you know killers normally want to end a chase fast or they get genrushed but you say you can genrush them hard how is that?
also i see you like chases that fine i do too as survivor and killer but as killer I don't like them to last longer then 2 gens and as a survivor I'm a Stealthy Survivor meaning i hide most of the time do totem do gen and do safe unhooking but i try not to get in to chases if i can help it because i suck at looping.

When you press m2 you hold your gun up which makes survivors dodge which in turn makes them lose distance and now you get a free m1. When you are running to anvautl and PH is behind you, he will put his sword into the ground if you vault he hits you with the rang of you fake he cancels with no cooldown and m1s (lose lose scenario).

You yourself just admitted to wanting to tunnel with no punishment. "When you could of already had someone on the hook if not for those perks." That's why this version of DS has the anti tunnel ability.
Once again like I said with bbq and leaving the hooked survivor you really wknt get to use the perk sure it can be strong in end game but as a killer you have to manage the amount of time the hook survivor has been unhooked so you dont get hit by DS.
Sure just because something doesnt happen often doesnt make it any less broken but you can completely ignore DS if you manage time.
25% of pressure is still pressure which is still better than nothing. Would you rather have no pressure since 25% isnt good enough for you?

That works but most PH use it as a free zone which almost guarentees a hit and use their range for that sweet animation lock.

I hear people say that but I don’t see it. Doc is perfect in my opinion. By oppressive, I mean that decision-making becomes even more difficult with the constant threat of being shot through obstacles with little to no warning at all, or being unsure if you can even throw down a pallet without getting wiped out.

My 1v1 mentality is what makes matches interesting for both me and the killer. They get the thrill of the hunt and I get the thrill of being chased. But if you would rather m1 a gen for like 80 seconds be my guess. To each their own.

This is exactly my thoughts I play these killers and have a blast. But due to poor game design they dont pay attention to survivors when creating the killers. It makes them seem like amateur game devs.
Old killer design was perfect or atleast really good. It was usually the better player won the chase but nowadays we got anime girl the stand still queen mInDgAmInG you, or slinger who zones you by pressing m2 or just existing because of the fear of the quickshit.

Pyramidhead and that tunnel makes me want to get off. They torment you, hook you then cage you off hook. In my case get caged have a teammate bring him back farm me get hit by his ranged and put on hook to die.

I've been saying this about slinger since day one. We can always hop into a custom and you play against my slinger then show me the counterplay. You're right though I do tend to dc against slingers mostly because a boring game that I'm forced to hyper focus m1 then get moaned at for gen rushing!
Oddly enough the 1v1 mentality is what makes the game fun but if you insist on my being a blendette and gen rushing I guess.

I dont understand why people fail to realize 1v1 is the most fun part of the game for survivors and killers. If you need mentors explain this to you I will. This 1v1 mentality I have wont go.
