Crash Penalties

Lately my game has been crashing a lot, and I've been losing pips and getting penalties every time it does, because it counts me as disconnected. Is it possible for BHVR to implement something to detect crashes and not give penalties for them?

    I heard you can get banned for DCing too many times, it’s unfair because I regularly get kicked offline
