As killer main I will tell ya how to counter.
Counterplays:
Dead hard very obvious why
Crouch for quick shots on loop on debris and such stuff.
On structures avoid vaulting or they can shot you. The tiles are made to be impossible to hit with the spear.
Predrop pallet except on certain loops short loops can hit you.

and the biggest counterplay is to remember that this game is a 4v1, not a 1v1v1v1v1

2. Guess
3. Just wait for animation then m1 if they dont vault, that's vague
4. That barely works if the slinger shoots you before you reach it.
If you wanna play a custom show me the counter also it really makes your arguement weak if you preface it as a killer main. Killer mains arent the ones having bbn problems!

Thats the prob proyectike killers are good as 1v1 but bad at 1v4 so curious they do these kinds of killers on a 4vs1

Thats the thing, survivors expect to be able to 1v1 every single killer otherwise the killer is "boring" to play against.

No we dont expect to 1v1 a killer but the chase should be fair game who ever plays better wins not press m2 to zone or let me just zone by existing. Its always the same argument for people like you "survivors want easy killers to bully, survivors complain so the killer gets nerfed."
Look at things objectively he makes the only interactive part of the game unfun because you provide no input and you cant counter it. You didnt even deny his chase power is strong.

2 its not guess cuz he have a warning. If you quick shot on a debris one surely u will hit debris you have to aim a bit.
3 you can bait vaulting or just dont vault if you vault he can hit you.

Hes supposed to be strong in the 1v1. You aren't going to be able to loop him forever. And that is exactly what survivors want, maybe not necessarily to bully killers but they want to win games easily of course. Any killer that makes that harder to do, "boring".

And with crossplay now active, there’s literally no reason all these survivors who are outplaying DS in chase every game can’t take you up on it. :)

Yup there it is that us vs them mentality. I dont want to be able to loop forever. I want a fair chance at outplaying the killer which you are ignoring my words.
Survivors dont asnt easy games we want games where our input matters slinger ignores this. If a killer that makes it hard Is boring how about nurse, good billy,oni,huntress, killers that had better designs, designs that actually had survivors fun and counterplay in thought.
Its frustrating talking to someone with an obvious killer bias who refuses to look at things objectively the 1v1 is the most fugi n part of the game! If you cant have a fair chance outplaying why play gen sim.

Yeah I dont see them most knowledgeable survivors know he has no counterplay. The ones saying he does are killer mains who arent good at survivor and use that as their excuse to not 1v1 or say "it'd a 4v1 game not 1v1" despite the 1v being the interaction between you and the killer.

Lol, that was my point. There’s absolutely no excuse to not put their money where their mouth is anymore, and yet they won’t because anyone who says DS is easily countered hasn’t played against someone who can aim.

There are things about him I don't like for sure and think should be changed, for example I don't think a ranged killer should have such a small terror radius, especially considering that 90% of red rank killers run Monitor and Abuse on him.
But I don't agree with you on the fair 1v1. Overall yes, you can delay the inevitable as a survivor in a chase, but the killer should almost always get you, unless you severely outclass the killer you are facing. I don't think you should be able to consistently loop a killer through multiple gens, or consistently lose a killer in a chase if the killer is equally skilled as the survivor.

The only counter that has worked for me is begging to god the deathslinger is bad, technically it isn't a counter but that is the only thing I can say that works.
I hope you get to play against someone and hope that you find a real counter.

No the killer should only get you if they outplayed you. I'm equally skilled as a survivor as my friend is killer whoever's wins is from outplaying two equally skilled players will outplay eachother they will adapt. So in other words it cant be a zero survivor input killer like PH and more of a huntres,billy killers yk ones that whoever's is better survives?

That is the counter to spirit and PH pray theh are bad and if they are then you good.
I'm most likely not gonna get any people its always killers mains who say they are bad at survivor or pull the 1v4 excuse.

Map/Gen/Loop/etc rotations are part of outplaying too. If a killer is hard to outplay on the micro level, outplay them on the macro level.

I'll tell you what people tell me to do against Hillbilly: play around your cover.
Unlike a character such as Hillbilky, Deathslinger has NOTHING outside of a 1v1 chase.

Even if he wouldnt have counterplay (he have counterplay) why does everything NEED counterplay ? Its a 4 vs 1. Also wheres my counterplay against your counterplay?
Why should skill always be easily counterable?
Killers shouldnt be pubished for being good at aiming and that being said, Killers ALSO have to predict your movement ,not just the Survvivors who have to predict where he will shot. Killers also have to predict and mindgame everything what survivors do.
But here are some counterplays :
Dead hard
Running zigzag
Running out of view
Running behind high obstacles
stealth
Getting to places where, even if he lands a shot he cant hit you
dropping pallets earlier but unpredicted
and so on

Map is so vague, doing gens is boring and also a way to get the kille rot main st you for genrushing, slinger counters loops bad, rotations fair enough but there isnt much outplaying there just moving lol.

I completely agree. People say 'killers should have the power in the 1v1.' That's really a bad argurment as it makes much more sense for deathsligner to have a more balanced chase (able to be countered better), but then have a secondary movement ability. You have to look at the fun on the survivor side as well as the killer side. The 1v1 is the only fun part for the survivor so we have to make it fair

For starters your "counterplay" if you can even call me that is a bunch of vague guesses and one being a "use x perk."
4v1 yet 1v1 is the most fun part. Things need counterplay so one side doesn't feel cheated and has a fair chance. He doesnt really have to predict he can just zone or if he has good aim track them it's not hard with practice.
If we get counterplay to your killer you gotta find out the counterplay to our counterplay. Killers shouldn't be punished for being good but survivors shouldn't be punished because their skill had no input to how the chase ended up.

Why are you mentioning billy? any 1v1 potential he had outside survivors being grossly out of position got removed. He is nothing but a loopable m1 killer now.

I already pointed out your premise is flawed. Either I'm better than you, and dodge everything, or you're better than I, and land every shot. Neither outcome will prove either point. You need a lot more than '1v1' to prove anything.
Nor the fact that you continue to bring this down to a 1v1 situation. This is a 1v4 game. I honestly don't understand why this isn't clicking. The survivor is not SUPPOSED to win a 1v1 situation. If the killer is intent, he should always catch up and down the survivor. Excluding the far ends of the skill cap matchmaking gives, of course. All the survivor can do is waste as much time as possible for the TEAM to do their job on gens. If you waste thirty seconds or two minutes, you're doing something.
I never said, nor claimed, I'm fantastic countering Slinger. There are still matches where they land most, if not all their shots on me. Some even make me jump. But that's fine. They thought ahead of me, baited the dodging, and outplayed me. Again, that's fine. I can honestly say I'd rather face a skilled Deathslinger than a skilled Nurse. Does that mean Nurse has no counterplay? Of course not. It just comes down to thinking differently. Wiggle between trees, duck behind a wall, double back if need be. Run Spine Chill if you want to know his aim, or Dance With Me to lose him over a drop. Lot of options. I have most success with Q&Q and Lithe.

Cover literally counters the Redeemer. You're behind it? He can't shoot you. He shoots you? Try to get behind some and break the chain. It breaks something like 5 times faster when something is going through the chain.
Hell, even another survivor will do the job.

Why are you so hard on wanting a 100% counter for slinger? Is it bad that you cant loop him for 5 gens like billy? Am I missing something?
Why should you be able to have consistent counterplay to a killer whos primary power is in the chase?

Just because for you 1vs1 is the most fun part, it doesnt mean you should can do everything solo. Its still a team game and you have to work together otherwise its unlikeley you will survive. It would be hella unbalanced if you could do everything solo in a game like this.
Also killers also get told to use certein perks to counter something like gen tapping etc.
And if a deathslinger is good enough to land the shots, he deserves it but theres still counterplay and i told you ways. What more do you want ? Almost everygame i had agains deathslinger i escaped.
He may be strong at chases but he dont have amy pressure.

Ah damn guess that's why I love facing nurse and Billy and a Huntress with functioning Internet cause I think they're really weak and I can loop them for ages not because I think they're pretty balanced in the 1v1 and still have great map pressure to let them slow the games down isn't it, cause I just want ez wins bby killer
