Crossplay is for ALL platforms!

For those saying remove PC players from crossplay.

For those saying remove Nintendo Switch players from crossplay.

STOP. PLEASE STOP.

Crossplay should not exclude any platform, it should include every platform or it would be pointless. Crossplay is supposed to bring the playerbase together and for everyone to play together.

Now if you’re not liking crossplay the devs have added an option to turn it off. I play on PS4 and PC and turning crossplay off doesn’t make queue times longer even though you get a message that says that when you turn it off, it is simply not true. There are also quite a few console players here who disabled it and have confirmed the same.

Also, for those who are saying they should make 3 different crossplay options: PC only, console only, PC & console. I‘ve actually seen some people here suggesting they do that. However, dividing the playerbase into 3 groups is not a good idea at all and will lead to very long queue times. It just won’t work.

There’s really no reason to complain about crossplay since you can always turn it off/on whenever you want. More and more games are adding crossplay now, even shooters, because devs realize it’s good for their game and their playerbase and that's true. Again, if you don’t like it or you prefer not to play with a specific platform then just disable it altogether. You should also keep in mind that the majority of the playerbase aren’t even on the forums and that there are so many players who enjoy playing with other platforms and there are those who want to play with friends. So please don’t be selfish and stop asking to remove one platform or the other. You shouldn’t be able to pick and choose. It’s either all or nothing.

Performance is not all that great on PC either. Yes it’s not as bad as consoles but you make it seem like DbD runs flawlessly on PC. Just today I was playing a match with all PC players, I vaulted the window and DH’d and still got hit even though the killer was nowhere near me. Or a killer clearly hits a survivor but the hit won’t register. There are BS hits/misses on PC as well. So many other performance issues and it’s known that the game is not well optimized on all platforms. They need to optimize the game better and improve the performance as you said. Asking to remove crossplay or demanding to exclude a specific playerbase is not the solution.

Probably. You can currently find mobile players when searching for friends.

I turned off crossplay on my Xbox due to the fsp gap we deal with. Also i posted this request on another long, long thread about optimization, and i think it fits here as well:

"To any PCrs who happen to read this thread, please please please ask a friend who has DBD on PlayStation 4 or whatever and give it a go. Especially killer. Especially on an indoor map.

Get a taste of the current console experience, maybe state here what it is. Thank you in advance."

Doesn't matter what people say. BHVR only cares about PC players and don't give a flying donkey poop about console players. So don't worry, they won't do console only crossplay even if all console players demanded it.

We exist only to make PC players' ques shorter and nothing else. Console players' horrible experience with 15 FPS is completely ignored. Concerns about fps differences and fairness were expressed in these forums before the implementation of crossplay and who listened; no one!

In addition to that, we have to listen bs from every other PC player, saying we're bad, horrible, boosted etc. not only in streamers' chats but here in the forums too, ignoring the 8 times worse FPS, overall performance and the lack of BASIC OPTIONS in the menu and forgetting how horrible performances we all have seen from PC players from youtube during these 4 years.

I will consider changing my opinion about the matter when the devs aknowledge the soon 800 comment thread in these forums and give us a clear answer IF they are going to fix the console version of the game and IF they claim they are going to do something about it the answer has better include an ETA. For the time being, I'm keeping crossplay turned off.

    Sorry for the partial rant.

Thanks for being rational. I completely agree and it is reasonable. With crossplay added and graphical update coming soon I really think the devs will start making console optimization a top priority now.

I hope so. My console is gonna explode if that graphics update gets here before optimization.

Don’t you think they would’ve included mobile when crossplay went live if that were the case? They didn’t release the game on Google Stadia yet but they confirmed that Stadia will be part of crossplay. I don’t know but I don’t think they plan on including mobile players.

Should DBD be more optimized for console? Yes absolutely, but unfortunately it never will be because the game is built on a weak foundation that's susceptible to bugs after every new update. It's not even optimized well on its first platform, which is PC.

At the same time, there are plenty of PC players playing on their potato laptops/pc's that have a disadvantage against a Ryzen 3900x/Intel 9900k with 2080 TI GPU. A console is pretty much just a PC optimized for gaming, but it's incomparable to the top of the line CPU/GPU's.

There are also monitors where you can easily up the gamma so you can see better. In conclusion, those who are willing to shell out more money will always have an edge in gaming. Crossplay should be a thing because it will help que times and the future mmr system with a larger pool of players.

Mobile currently has bots for DC and console/pc don't so it makes sense to not introduce crossplay until all platforms have that feature. Also mobile has way less DLC characters/maps - it's one thing to have a platform be at a disadvantage with a single DLC it's another to have a platform added that is missing over half the DLC. Why even bother letting people be able to find mobile accounts if they don't plan to eventually introduce them to crossplay?

Or you can turn off crossplay and not have to worry about it. OP says your queues will be fine.

Yeah I forgot about the bots. Hopefully we get the same on PC and consoles. That said, I don’t know if the mobile version will be in content parity with PC and consoles any time soon though.

I've come across some pretty spicy console killers. The differences between PC and console are not as drastic as I thought they would be.

Console survivors tend to play differently though and that's been an adjustment. Console killers also are more likely to tunnel or camp because there's no endgame chat.

Yeah I've come across great killers on both platforms, toxic players on both platforms, there are bad players on every platform. Console survivors are no different than PC survivors as well, there are also PC players who use a controller when playing survivor. About the endgame chat, I hope they add it for consoles.

Not relevant but is the movie any good? (your username) :p

One of my favorite horror movies! It's more of a period piece that towards the end completely horrified me. It's really divisive though because it's a slow burn film that pulls you in. It's also not scary in the traditional sense of jump scares, bloody slashers, or monster movies. It's more a psychological horror that forces you to really think about what you just watched. It's a movie that sticks with you for a few days after and even to this day sometimes at night I'll walk into a dark room and remember a scene from this movie and have to find the lights asap lol

Why not just fix the issue? I WANT to play with PC, but I also want it to be a level playing field. Plus, consoles were promised optimization nearly two years ago, I would like it if they delivered on that promise, preferably before the Graphical Update.
