Keys rework Idea

What if there were locked doors instead of the breakable ones that killers could break down or leave closed like we have now, while keys on the other hand could change that and open these doors and maybe they could open chests faster as an added bonus or something. It would look like this...

Rare Key: Opens chests 25% faster(does not use charge), or use charge to open one door

Very rare key: Open chests 35% faster(does not use charge), or use charge to open two doors

Skeleton key: Open chests 50% faster(does not use charge), or use charge to open four doors

Keys would still to used to open the hatch along with these effects but opening hatches will now be different.

Rare key will still not be able to open hatch

When opening hatch it will take about 20 seconds with the very rare key and 15 with the skeleton key, while opening the hatch it will make noise similar to opening chests or doing a gen which the killer can hear, the killer will also get a special auditory warning to tell them that the hatch is being opened. When the hatch is open only one survivor can go through at a time, the animation will also be different with them climbing in which would take about 2.5 sec instead of just jumping in giving the killer enough time to grab them out of the hatch if they catch them in time.

There of course is probably some hiccups I'm missing with this idea, be sure to let me know what you think!

    key time for opening hatch should be 12 seconds base, also this is very similar to a rework idea i posted awhile ago but mine was more in depth and included some addon rework ideas along with some changes to the keys themselves like the purple key breaking if you stop opening the hatch but its aura reading time was buffed. I didn't think about a different animation but i think the current 'jump in' one is fine and also killers shouldn't be able to do hatch grabs anymore since it leads to hatch camping.

    the key only doors would be a cool idea, they could replace one of the new blocked doors on the new spring wood map with one but i think it should cost a lot of charges otherwise keys will be a lot more common and can be used on multiple doors and hatch. I dont think they should open chests faster tho that doesn't make a lot of sense when the chests are not locked, maybe as an addon?.

    for those interested since this is about keys heres mine, i try to fully rework each key function and go more indepth but i do really like the op's key door idea tho.

    I know there's a lot of discussion on how keys/hatch/mori's etc should be balanced, but I just wanted to +2 that the door idea is really cool! What if you could also close the door after you opened it if you wanted, so the key would provide more of an extended loop route for a 1 time use? so spend a few seconds on a door, it opens, you run out, see killer following, close door and killer has to then go longer way. Didn't really think it out much, just kind of spitballing here. But, all in all, I think the door idea sounds like a fun mechanic.
