For love of the Entity, slow Freddy down already please
I'm not saying he's OP, just think giving him a slowdown while using abilities (like every other Killer) or slowing his base speed down slightly (since he can Teleport) would make him a far more engaging Killer to face and more on par with the other Killers. As is, he already has way more in basekit than anyone else, but throw on BBQ and PGTW and it's pretty much a boring, one-sided match.

I sometimes feel like he should have been 110% after the rework. He has very good map pressure and gets free mobility and significant slowdown for NOTHING, HE LITERALLY CAN DO NOTHING AND IS REWARDED as well as a power that pretty effectively shuts down longer loops. I'd have to play it myself to see if it would actually massively nerf him, though.
A lot of my freddy games as solo end with people just giving up because gens cant get done if he takes certain add ons and perk. gens will last so long that he'll potentially end multiple chases get a hook, teleport and pop before you're close to done. There goes 20% as well as any progress lost over time. Then theres the extremely poorly handled slowdown add ons that are still incredibly oppressive when stacked. Even worse if Thana or Sloppy are in play.

I'd prefer he get reworked again, hes boring to face regardless of whether or not he has a cooldown.

Okay so I'm a freddy main so do forgive my bias but...
Billy is stronger at most tiles in a chase. He can get around the map much more freely. He can better punish out-of-position survivors. He's 115.
Oni has a pretty massive limit of needing blood however has a power almost as strong as, if not stronger than, Nurse's Blink or Spirit's Phase Walk. He's 115.
Freddy doesn't need to be slowed down at all. In my opinion the devs just gotta incentivise waking up more (for each time you wake up, you take 5 seconds longer to fall asleep up until it takes 90 seconds, 120 with a clock or something idk) and then we're good to go because, fun fact:

The dream world aesthetic has certainly worn down its welcome by now. At least its significantly nerfed compared to the original. Pretty sure survivors still glow white in the dream so its not too bad.

@Tricks ...umm, pretty much every Freddy runs BBQ and aside from that, finding Survivors isn't that hard unless they're playing 'super immersion'

@A0603 ...or maybe Freddy shouldn't get everything handed to him and earn his power like every other Killer. Maybe Freddy should be slowed down SLIGHTLY when using his power....like every other Killer. I'm not a whiny Survivor main, I play both sides and see the disparities among Killer abilities and am simply calling it out.

I think just a small slowdown when he sets his traps up would suffice, so he doesn't get to just mindlessly spam them for free. Other than that he's pretty balanced, just not very fun to play against (which nerfing won't fix).

Guess I need to clarify myself so the entitled 'Killer mains' (maining is stupid, play the whole game) don't have an aneurism...I am not suggesting some ridiculous hard nerf, just slowing him down, be it when using an ability OR just slightly reducing base movement speed.

Reduce his movement speed? That's stupid. His teleport has a huge cooldown, and it gives a giant warning every time its coming. He doesn't need to be a 110 killer. Maybe we should slow survivors down instead, since they can loop for days.

To be fair your post isnt much better in that area, I mean..freddy unless your asleep is an m1 killer only, and even when asleep his snares are only the strength of addonless clown gas..freddy players need to place them carefully or they arnt going to get very far

@immortalls96 Except my post had an idea presented with some brief logic behind it so as not write an unreadable wall of text, yours consisted of "Yeah...noooo" without any explanation or counter argument. He has the Passive Sleep timer giving him free power as well as simply m1'ing someone to keep one of his powers charging...no one else has as much in basekit as him and it's a little ridiculous.

Pig..demogorgan..they have 3 powers each..and the sleep timer makes sense thematically, plus the powers he does get arnt that great compared to some other killers..just keep him from being legion..good players deal with him just fine..granted pop works well on him but he needs a chase for that

Her base kit used to be ultra spammable - no blink cooldown whatsoever, so even if the Nurse messed up she was back in the chase at full potential after her fatigue.
On top of that, she had insanely powerful add-ons, the most famous of which was Omega Blink. People could just slap on both range add-ons and traverse the map in seconds, no downside. It also had the nasty side effect of making her blinks super fast, because it extended the range but not the time she stayed in the blink, so if she short-blinked it was practically instant traversal.
And that wasn't even the first time she was nerfed.

I don't like using blink extenders personally, it messes up with her base blink distance prediction and you can get pretty close to zero cooldown on blink fatigue with addons though I havent experienced the Nurse pre-nerf so I guess I wouldn't know.

@immortalls96 Keep downplaying with your strawman argument, every killer has either one quality ability or a quantity of weaker abilities but they all have setbacks to using them and are punished for missing...Freddy has quality and quantity with no setbacks.

Freddys dream snares / pallets are not slowed down by 'setbacks' while he lays them down because of a slew of other types of 'setbacks'.
This is a good thing because he is not designed to be like every other killer, I mean how boring would the game be if every killer was the Trapper.
Dream World 'setbacks'
He has a limited amount of dream snares / pallets that are removed from their existing positions and replaced at their new positions if you use too many,
If you are not in the dream world any of his snares / pallets will have zero effect on you you have absolute control over:
- Find an awake Survivor and get them to wake you up
- Go to the clock and wake yourself up
- Blow up a gen and wake yourself up
Other 'setbacks'
He has the indisputably, absolute worst visible clarity / sight range of any killer hands down without question
Once a gen is done he can no longer teleport to that area of the map
Once all the gens are done he can no longer teleport to any area of the map
He also has tells like the 'wind whisper' sound before he teleports to a gen, if your near a gen and you don't hear / see blood spewing from it you know you can safely go about your business (unless he has class photo addon then you don't know which gen he is going to)
These are all indisputable facts that anyone who has any basic understanding of how Freddy works would know and as such cannot be denied.

Yeah, in the same vein of Freddy’s bbq/teleport, Spirit and Billy matches become monotonous with the bbq/phase bbq/sprint easy peasy back & forth... bbq incorporated into majority of builds tend to lessen the challenge and makes matches overly dull. I rarely use it.

You treat Freddy like you treat Clown, he isn't hard to win vs the only thing that puts him over clown is not having to reload his traps and the teleport, his chase is basically the same.
