I (and other people) WANT A MYERS REWORK!! (please)
Like, i really believe that the best Myers rework is... basically Ghostface!! :'D He covers all the weaknesses or the abusable points that Myers has and corrects them like a cherry on top of a cake! I'll explain better:
Myers is a stealth killer that needs to stalk people to be viable: It means that you are not meant to be seen, but he is tall like an old grandma wardrobe and he is LOUD!! It's like playing against Darth Vader... Ghostface is not that tall, he is skinny(ish) and he can LEAN behind corners!! He is PERFECT!! Also Ghostface has complete control on the undetectable status (and a perfect counter on the survivor side since they can just "spot" him), something that Myers completely lose after reaching EvilWithin 2.
The abusable part is about the "stalk" itself. You can actually just 99% your tier 3 on someone else and then tap it on someone you never met in ur life b4, and that's jsut CANCER. Even tho you end up having "no more stalk progression on that person", you can't just stalk to death someone and then tap it on others :\. Ghostface is perfect in that too! you have to stalk someone entirely before exposing him and completely lose the "stalk gauge" in case you hit him, he is PERFECT! But, he is not Myers.
For me, Myers needs a real warm rework. something that would make him viable and new, but still keeping him the good old and creepy jump scare Myers. My suggestions are:
1) You have singular levels of stalk on survivors, Ergo: you have to stalk someone to Evil within 2 and 3 before gettin any effect on him and also the stalk starts fast and slowly decays the more you stalk that person to avoid prolonged stalking till you can no more stalk him (it will gradually reset in time to be able to stalk him again)
2) When you are Evil Within 2, as surv you will occasionally scream when inside the terror radius of the killer and the chance of screaming should be very low (Slightly), when instead very high when Evil Within is tier 3. This will apply on actions too, because screaming will make you trigger very difficult skill check to avoid any progression penalty that otherwise would be applied to any action you are involved in.
3) When you are toward somoene who is tier 1, you should be able to see his aura when in chase with him, but no more able to see it in Tier 2 and 3 (unless via perks or addons). When toward someone with tier 2, you should move faster, but not necessarily instan. it could be something that comes with bloodlust, like you get it faster or it's a little stronger on you etc. With Tier 3 instead you get the good old insta down for a short period BUT: When you are on your T3 with someone you can ONLY insta down that person instead of anyone you come across and only apply an additional Deep wound on someone whos not on his T3 yet. Then the tier 3 will slowly decay while in chase or fastly decay while not in chase to tier 2 and so on.
4) When in T3 with someone you break pallets, vault windows and pick up survivors faster, but slightly slower then nowadays T3 speed so it won't be THAT MUCH oppressive toward survivors, but it will be still a strong addition to his kit.
I have more ideas for addons too, but this thread is too long already and i just wanted to give good ideas on how Myers could be great without being changed a lot or broken completely. I hope you will give me your replies on what you think about Myers in general and about my ideas around him. CHEERS!

Uhm... it would be a nerf overall... not to mention that no 4 is a direct nerf. Like yeah, he is oppresive in t3 because he needs this oppresivenes to start snowballing later than any normal killer.
The only problem the myers has is that, without the old ruin, you need to get to the t2 much quicker. Even if survivors hit all great skillchecks, the would complete the gens slightly later and what's even more important, it was easier to stalk while being hidden.
Not to mention that spinechill is way more popular than back then, which makes playing myers even harder.
Before any radical changes i would rather suggest to increase his stalking speed in t1 or something like that.
If he still would be too weak at higher tiers i think that giving him an obssesion based passive ability would be nice. After all, with him the obssesion mechanic was introduced.

What is this WE nonsense. If I want to play Ghostface, I'd play Ghostface. I'm sure Myers will get some tweaks, but I (and I do not presume to speak for everyone) do not want to lose what makes Myers distinct.
3 -
Not "WE!", just you.
I personally just want a buff for him.
3 -
I don't know a single person besides you that would want Myres to be nerfed. Personally i think myres is the most fun and balanced killer to go against. So if anything should be changed, it's the title of this post, because it's factually incorrect. "We" don't want a nerf, you do.

Hell no! If they got rid of Tier-1 I'd lose Spooky Myers (or Jumpscare Myers if you prefer) and he is the most fun to play and play against.
0 -
Yes, it could be a very intresting thing. Like a base obsession mechanic that is not perk or addon depending

If YOU don't want it, it doesn't mean there is not a WE ;) You come here and say that YOU don't want it, without being a toxic person. Otherwise just don't answer, thanks :)

Same for the previous guy

The only certain thing is that it really needs some love atm...

"Most fun" for who? "most balanced" You charge the t3 on someone else and then tap it on other people, how is this balanced? Also, if you know no one that wants myers to be CHANGED (not nerfed, use proper wording plis.) It doesn't mean there is literally no one who would want it.

The convention is that if YOU post you speak for YOU. You don't imply "we" unless you are the Queen of England perhaps? I know Emma Watson plays; I suppose her Majesty could be getting down to some DbD. If there is a "we" the other people can also jump on and add their two cents. It is really bad form to act like you speak for many on the internet because it is just an idle boast. If we were in the real world, and you were on stage surrounded by the "we" you are talking about, that would be different.
In short, using the term "we" in this context and format seems to infer you are speaking for the majority. I doubt that.

if you had the decency to read my thred, you would have known i hadn't got rid of t1 jump scare myers. I said i had more ideas for addons and in what i had in mind includes scratch mirror builds too.

Again, assumption that there is no "we", i talk for many because i have a community that makes my "we" viable. If YOU don't know my community, it doesn't mean you have the right to disprove it. Also, by rules of this forum: "only constructive and on topic comments are accepted" So, if you have to say something about my thread on: Myers, you are free to keep commenting. Otherwise, you are pleased to stay out of it and let room for people really interested on making this game better for everyone, thanks.

I did read your suggestions, closely. I just don't agree with them. I think Myers is pretty solid as he is now. What mainly needs attention when it comes to him is his Add-Ons. The vast majority of them are terrible and simply not used at all. He even has an Ultra Rare that I have like sixty of so far. :) I think Myers could do with perhaps being a 110% Killer at Tier-1 rather than 105%, but I'm getting by with him as he stands now. I just think he needs some of his Add-Ons adjusted to help him more toward the mid-game, things which might help delay the Gen-Rush that aren't Perks.

That isn't how this works. You put up a post, other people answer it. Some of them will disagree with you. They also might feel that their input is about making the game better for everyone (which I do). I think your ideas are ill-advised in regards to Myers. Since I play him exclusively as my Killer until I can consistently hit Rank-1 with him (my goal) I've had a great deal of time with him so far. I feel qualified, at list minimally, to comment on his abilities and builds. Does he needs some tweaks? Yes. Does he need a massive rework? Absolutely not. Don't fix what isn't broken. His Add-Ons need work, tweaking the unused ones. That's about it.

So say that you think that Myers is pretty solid. I would have said: "you are right, but it's not fun to play against" Thats all. Also, you are a 100% right on the addons sadly... I have a lot of ideas for it that would involve mechanics around tiers from 1 to 3 so you can choose the gamestyle you wanna apply on the character, i really hope they do something on him to make him more interesting and balanced for both sides..

I used to feel this way, but not anymore. I've been playing a LOT of Spooky Myers. I've been able to 4K now on Cold Wind Farm, McMillian, Midwich, the Swamps, and the smaller maps of course. Oddly enough Spooky Myers is an absolute TERROR in Haddonfield which is normally a terrible map for Killers. Spooky Myers loves it. He can, literally move along the center of the main street just a short distance each way centered on the Myer's House and get a rid on every single Generator. This allows him to never waste time and keep up tremendous Gen. pressure. Spooky Myers can get a 3-Gen on that map as a lock very easily and the basement (always in the Myer's house) is right in the center. I have to say, after horrible experiences with other Myers builds in Haddonfield, this took me ENTIRELY by surprise. I've been playing some seriously good Survivors too. Heck, it is hard but I've even won a few at Ormond.
My point is Spooky Myers is actually viable (granted I've been putting in an insane amount of practice) in many maps people write him off on. He is slow, absolutely, but there are ways around that and the lack of a Red Stain and Terror Radius do make up for it. Granted, I would love for him to be 110% rather than 105%. That would, I believe deal with his issues in the loops a bit better, but since I am winning games with him as he stands now, it would be hard to second-guess the DEV on their final call. The only maps I absolutely hate getting with him are Rotten Field (the one Cold Wind variant I can't win in), and the McMillian one called the "Woods Something"... don't know why I have trouble there, but I do.

I never said that you are not qualified, i'm literally looking for people like you that know this character better then i do. This is why i want YOU to say where i'm wrong and why, i can only give ideas and tell how i personally feel when i play against him cause when i play him i really don't feel any challenge or fun (this doesn't mean he isn't fun and challenging, i just pref different characters like doc and huntress) So please, let's just forget about the first bad impressions. Do you have any idea for addons that would make him better or interesting to play?

You see, it's simple.
Normal Speed in tier one.
Or normal lunge distance.
take your pick, BHVR.

So can you show me this "we"?

And don't worry, I didn't take it that way. I merely gave my context, so you would know what I'm basing my opinions on. Ghostface is a very different animal from Myers. He stays the same pretty much all the way through the game. Like a Hex, Myers is a slow burn with high risk and high reward. If you go for Builds which Hulk out at Tier-3, you can slug like nobody's business. You are fast, insta-down, and have a mean lunge. If you go for Spooky Myers you are challenging yourself and the Survivors who are used to the advance warning of the Red Stain, Terror Radius, or at least some auras. Only Spine Chill (and your own noisy breathing) gives you away. *The "Wishy-Washy Myers"... i.e. the Vanity Mirror... is not my favorite. It attempts to bridge the gap between Spooky and Maniac. As a result, it does NEITHER well. I just don't play it. If there were additional tweaks to Myers, I would say that middle of the road version with a limited Wall Hack but no ability to get to Tier-3 would be a place to look. Right now with Myers, you want to be all in... all Spooky or all Maniac.

Okay fine.
I think he should just get a buff to his base availible stalk. Maybe even to his rate on gaining it. He shouldn't however receive a rework.
1 -
And that's what i really wanted him to be able too... Like when he is done stalking someone and you can no more stalk him, that's something i would gladly get rid of. this is why i wanted him to have a mechanic that gives you the ability to stalk people on the entire match without abusing on one person out of 4. Same as for the aura, i think you should see the auras of survivors AT BASE when you are T1 since you are freaking slow and 0 lunge, you are literally harmless :\
0 -
You mean build the wall hack in for all Tier-1 Myers? That is an interesting idea, but it would have to be the crappy Vanity Mirror version I think, and leave the Spooky Myers version to be possible with Add-Ons. I think an easier fix for Myers would be the ability to pull more evil when he is around multiple Survivors. Right now he always pulls the same evil no matter how many are being stalked.

Rework means taking something that is old and working on it: it's exactly what you are asking if you didn't know. I never said delete the old myers and make it new...
0 -
You see, i didn't know about this thing, and honestly #########?? you are literally gaining resources that you can never get back from people, why in the world would you just get it as if it was just from one??
0 -
Yes, It means taking a core part of something and doing something diffrent with it (example Freddy rework).
And I don't think anything should be changed about how he plays. Just the numbers.
0 -
Ok, i understand your Point of View, but i do not agree... Not entirely at least
0 -
The one thing I want from Meyers is they should redo his wall break animation so he stares at it for a second then just walks right through it like a psychotic Kool Aid Man
2 -
THAT could be very interesting :'D

i edited the name of the thread so nobody feels offended by it
0 -
Well you gain resources, but it divides up the pull so it is the same amount, just a little bit from each. So you don't really lose it, but getting a whole bunch of them in front of you doesn't speed you up.
0 -
Thank god, i thought you got it from them the same as it was just gettin from one but still gettin the same amount of stalk from all of them :\
