Like, you are already a very good killer by having the chance to throw hatchets on ppl and apply various effects via addons... I really don't see why it should have an insta down perk :\
My suggestion is: You just decrease hatchets from 5 to 3 and the perk gives you deep wound when you hit them instead of downing them and add a penalty speed on deep wound healing. It would really make it viable without destroying it and it would add fancy combos with other addons instead of forcing you with the military belt

Had several threads about this. Add either a min distance like on slinger, so you cannot use them at loops or make the hatchet count not stackable, so you definitely only have one isnta hatchet. Problem solved

I saw an interesting idea somewhere, it suggested to make them insta down only if they were fully wind up and it increased the wind up time slightly.

Deep wound does nothing and why would you need it in a chase.

The problem with deep wound is that it is inherently pointless. It's no good for a chase since the timer is paused while a survivor is running.

If you're throwing hatchets at someone, you are most likely trying to down them.

Ok so i'll get rid totally from the insta down, that's my suggestion :) And you will have to throw 2 hatchets every time with no benefits instead of having something ok??? you pref it like that??? Because the insta down is gonna CLEARLY get rid of one day or another. But yeah, let's be greedy and ask for downing survivors just by looking at them shall we??

deep wound isn't about chase it's about making it take longer for them to do anything. It essentially adds a 12 second mandatory channel that they have to do. That's 12 seconds they could have spent healing or working a gen. Yeah the addon won't do anything if you down someone but sometimes winning isn't about getting the down, espeically in the early game. In the early game it's far more important to keep people off generators than to commit to a chase so if you injure someone with deep wound then chase someone else off a generator that's good early game pressure because you got 1 person injured with a 12 second mend and you're chasing another. Yeah they can just heal up but in the early game them spending that time healing and mending is far more valuable than losing a generator that you cannot get back.

Iri Head is a red add-on. Removing the insta-down would mean replacing it with something of equal or better value. It's fine as is when you consider that.

Sure, because i can't name like 10 killers that have trash pink addons and they are forced to play with green and purple instead. Pink just mean it's much more rare then normal, it SHOULD be better, but it's not. Sometimes they are there just to make the killer different in his mechanics, it doesn't necessarely mean it has to be drastically op and iri heads are literally game breaking.

Iridiscent head would honestly be alright if her hatchet hitbox even remotely resembled her model. But they tried that once before and with the current state of survivor hitboxes vs animations it just didn't work properly. When you combine any latency at all with the absurdly wide hatchet hitbox (its about 4 times wider than the actual hatchet model) then add a 1 shot ontop of it you have a really obnoxious add on that feels extremely cheap and unfair.

DBD isnt a fair game. If you get hit by a skill shot then the killer is play well or the survivor is playing bad. Once a huntress is out of hatchets the chase is over. Then look at Bubba...insta down with no perks, no add ons, no skill and always available in chase. Zzzz
