i don't really like this killer...
even if you made some improvements, this killer is still goofy and clumsy, literally a pinball machine, stun time for every rush is pretty boring and he's basically a M1 killer with no abilities, this killer is the door that promotes the genrush, i don't see anything special from him, i'd rather main legion at this point, 1000 times better than pinball machine killer.
Oh and one more thing, his basic attack not being counted when using a rush is pretty stupid, i mean, if a survivor has an exposed status effect, you can't oneshot him if you're using a rush, like his basic attack is something different. i don't get this, deathslinger has an ability too, but his spear attack when shooting someone is still labeled as a "basic attack" so why can't it be the same? using noed, his own perk (which i don't remember name of it) and devour is a waste of time if you gotta hit them with M1 anyways.

I completely agree he's just a worse legion at this point. I'll still say that this chapter isn't the worse because his perks are some of the best I've seen in like 6 chapters. Wish we got a FNAF chapter instead of pinball man. DBD dev's are out of idea's clearly.

At the risk of sounding stupid, what does 'M1 killer' mean? I keep seeing this but applied to different killers and have no idea what they are going on about.

It's Ok man M1 Applies when in certain situations your power can actually hinder your ability to Injure or Down survivor's. Think legion after you use frenzy.

The forums really amaze me sometimes. This dude is insanely strong, can run at 9.2m/s and can actually down in his power. He has insane map presence basically for free, is a zoning monster in his power, and can get easy downs at like half the structures in the game. His addons are just batshit insane good, and he has next to zero stun out of his power, which can be reduced even farther with addons. And somehow he's worse than Legion, who can do none of those and is literally bottom 3 killers in the game.
Y'all need to git gud, seriously.

a "M1 killer" is a killer that relies only on his base attack and doesn't own special abilities like oni or chainsaw bros to kill survivors in other ways. an example of "M1 killer" is the hag, the trapper or the wraith, killers having abilities that don't include a secondary attack which allows to oneshot or give variety to gameplay.

This is why I usually don’t take criticism less than 24 hours old serious.
I am currently at work but my friend who used him said the same thing you did. He is strong, especially now that they fixed his hit box and it’s more precise now.

The killer is bad, and I already 4K'ed with him. Hillbilly can do the same as him and better.

Exactly

still, his rush still doesn't get counted as a "basic attack" which makes it stupid.
i had rancor on him to check his mori, i rushed through the exit to kill the obsession and he didn't get downed despite of his "exposed status" .
his M1 attack becomes literally "M2" when in a rush, lol.

I Agree as well... this killer is strong those whom just compare him to Billy or legion.. are not looking at the whole package...

Same as Demogorgon and Pig, that is literally nothing new. If anything, means he can abuse STBFL.
And honestly if your metric for a good killer is whether or not it gets exposed procs on their power, then I guess he's bad lmfao.

Only part about this that I completely agree with is that his rush hit should count as a basic attack - given it's basically a nurse blink strike in execution and skill requirement... but since they've been slowly removing that ability from most other killers they probably just err'd on the side of caution.

I would not say it is bad. There might will be people who see potential to master it.
That could happen.
The ability, that is just stupid, basically.
Especially with legion in the pot.

I do think legiin might be better, his rush needs to be a regular run like legion that can down people. Thats it. Theres 0 reason for his turning to be ######### like this if its not a one shot. Legion cant down people because his power extends allowing him to hit multiple people. Blight cant hit multiple people so it makes sense that he can down someone. Theres 0 reason for his run to be billyesque without the one shot

M1 killers are killers whose powers can't help them in chase, and can therefore rely solely on their ability to chase normally, swinging through pallets (pressing M1) and hoping for the survivors to not fix gens/loop efficiently.
The following killers
- the Trapper
- the Wraith
- the Hillbilly
- the Nurse
- the Shape
- the Doctor
- the Cannibal
- the Nightmare
- the Pig
- the Clown
- the Legion
- the Plague
- the Ghost
- the Demogorgon
- the Deathslinger
- the Executioner
- the Blight
are considered to be M1 killers, because their powers are either useless in a chase against a competent survivor (e.g. Wraith, Doctor, Pig, Demogorgon), or non consistent enough (e.g. Clown, Nurse, Hillbilly, Cannibal, Deathslinger).

his m2 is a different attack than his m1... the blight still uses his scalpel like deathslinger uses his spear after reeling someone... i don't get why making it different just because you're in a "rush"

I mean i can say the same thing. Those that dont think hes a weaker legion arent lookjng at the whole package 🤷♂️

exactly, they should just put m2 as a different attack for the nurse at this point to make it fairer, lol.

The weird thing is that it was kinda that way for a bit. When original MoM came out, Nurse hits didn't count for stacks because it wasn't considered an M1.

if they changed nurse, they can change blight.

No his rush attack should not count as a basic attack since your using your power smh. A basic attack is just that, an attack without a power.

The weird "sliding drift" is THE thing that makes him feel clunky, and I have no idea why they think it was a good idea. Hillbilly and Oni drifts as well, but it's tied to the camera and movement, not an uneeded mechanic. Gameplay wise, imagine playing the hillbilly, on the DBD equivalent on an ice level, and ice levels in games are notoriously hated by most people. If they make it like the hillbilly, where it's tied to your camera, It will feel much better to control, and make it like the oni, where you can flick during a lunge using your power. It would not be broken since he doesn't insta-down in 98% cases with his power (with his 2% being his ultra-rare add-on, since perks don't affect his power)
I'm not saying he's bad (at least yet), but he still feels clunky to play as, even after all of the adjustments.

Unless the killer can teleport to gens, have a passive slowdown and survivor slowing abilities all at the same time most killer mains are gonna hate any new killer that needs some practice.

Or maybe he's just bad.
I have never seen a more map dependent killer.

M1 refers to a pc mouse's left click. M2 = Right Click, M3 = Middle Mouse Button or Scroll Wheel.
On PC M1 is the default button for performing the Killer's Basic Attack. M2 is the default button for using the Killer's Power.
People refer to some killers as M1 Killers, since their power itself doesn't actually down survivors, but instead hinders them or affects them in some way. Examples of M1 Killers are Clown, Trapper, Legion, Doctor, Plague (without her red puke), etc.

This is gonna fly over a few heads, but I really enjoyed it!

Because I wasn't joking. Just stating facts.
0 -
Huntress is much more map dependent than him, at least Blight has a 115% move speed in a chase
0 -
Dude play The blight on Coldwind or any open map and also any indoor map, He's bad.
0 -
I mean since when has any killer done well on Coldwind maps or indoor maps? They're bad for everyone. Indoor maps are only decent for stealth killers.
0 -
The killer you responded to me earlier with. Coldwind is her best map.
0 -
Rotten fields isn't terrible for Huntress but Cowshed?!? I'm sorry but do you play Huntress? Cowshed is quite literally the single worst map in the entire game for all killers, and she can't do literally anything about any of the coldwind loops.

Thank you both for the explanation - it all makes a lot more sense now. Much appreciated!

Thanks for that, it's a good example!

Thanks for the examples, it's helped to put it into context!

well, only thing i liked most on this chapter, are the menu music and the graphical update, not everything turned out being bad in the end, i wanted to point this out.
yeah, killer isn't the best and it won't be my favorite killer to play, but hey, at least menu and chase music are good and the graphical enviroment is awesome...

Only thing I dislike about him is his bland, fairly unimaginative power that doesn't scream 'Chemist' or 'Blight' to me... should have dealt with slamming into survivors directly for damage and status effects, in my opinion. Would have fit the theme better.
0 -
I've played him a bit now and he has no maneuverability, especially when it comes to looping and once survivors get to know his play style and weaknesses him getting kills will be very difficult. So far I think he really needs a buff to be viable. I was really hoping for a bit of thought put into him and maybe a unique, fun, power but then I get a pinball machine who may as well be a watered down version of legion. Disappointed doesn't begin to cover how I feel about him.

did you actually play him vs good survivors?
