The Blight is frustrating and unfun. I am very disappointed.
This killer brought me genuine frustration. I feel like I wasted 8 $.

And how exactly brought you you frustration?
Any info on it?
Was it as the killer or when facing the killer?
And what frustrates you then?
5 -
I got that from looking at the PTB and streams today. A lot of why he is frustrating to play is because the player has to unlearn that bumping into things is bad, but I think that maybe too much of an ask for the results you get. I think his weapon is underwhelming as well.

Can you get the refund?
2 -
It's boring for both sides. As Blight, you are very weak, and against him the game devolves into gen rush simulator because his power is too easy to counter.
3 -
No. You can't refund chapters. I wish you could, however.
2 -
How many games did you play to come to your well-founded conclusion? 3? 4?
Give it a week and you will know how the Killer is played.
11 -
Why do you still spend money on this company? Just buy him with shards next time lmao
5 -
That's too bad.. feels bad man

I would still try. I've got refunds on DLC for some games on Steam.

No offence but the killer is only out for what? A few hours?
You as well as everyone else still need to learn how to play as and against him.
You can't say if he's weak or strong after only a couple of games.
Sure he might nog suit your playstyle, that is possible, but having a judgement this quick I can't take seriously.
4 -
Bruh. You guys are buying original chapters with money?
4 -
yes you can if you played less than 2 hour since you bought it
1 -
I knew from PTB that he's a boring disappointment for me so I didn't bother for the first time using money to buy his chapter.
Once someone masters him he'll probably be a decent upper mid tier killer probably but that won't change how boring he is imao.
2 -
People have already been playing him for a couple weeks on the PTB and not enough was changed to make him any better. He's not a strong killer and people already know how to play against him. His turning radius during lethal rush is too restrictive, and he cannot attack after a slam, which severely limits the amount of places he can even set up a lethal rush.
It's not very hard to understand how trash his power is. It's mostly just a mobility power, it cannot be effectively used as an offensive power. The only way to utilize his power is between tiles where there is enough objects to bounce off of but not too much as to put him into a position where he slams right next to a survivor and can't do anything.
3 -
Imagine using your power in a unique way and then having someone literally just hide behind a generator to counter it, force you into stun, and power CD, and then getting away for free. I've also never seen a killer get so punished for using their power when a pallet is dropped.
Perfectly sums up this pathetic killers design. Lol

How does someone mastering him make him upper mid tier? He's been around for how long now on the PTB, the changes that went live are minimal, as usual. He's a ######### killer with one decent perk and 2 mediocre perks, which is even worse than what we're used to.

On Steam, I have refunded DbD chapters individually. As long as you have less than 2 additional hours playing since you purchased it, they refund it. At least, it's worked for me.
Note I stated 2 additional hours, not 2 hours total in DbD.

Folks: it's still day 1, and Blight seems like a much higher skill-level killer than BHVR's standard fare M1 menagerie. Let's all take some deep breaths and wait a couple weeks to see how we all develop his skills.
1 -
His problem is explicitly that he's largely an M1 killer. It's also not day 1, he's already been out for a few weeks on ptb

That's why I said probably, I have no idea if he can actually do some decent turns around loops. It might be possible so I want to want until I see someone how can play him well, not just mediocrely. It's the same as not judging nurse by people who suck with her skilled gameplay wise.

He's been out on PTB for weeks. You can read the patchnotes to see what's been changed.

This, and actually, I'¿ve experienced the opposite, at rank 1, I've been getting 4k every match (about 6 so far) BUT there's a learning curve, I'll give it a week before having an objective opinion on him cause survivors do not know how to counter him yet
0 -
well u kind of deserve it for spending real money on something you can purchase with shards

I know that not that much changed, I'm talking about skill in terms of outplaying loops. When Deathslinger came out and for a few months after, many believed (and still believe) that he's countered by pallets and don't realise half the amout of tiles he can easily win and get hits on.
I want to see really good Blitght players who used him on all maps countless time and know how to play all tiles really well which takes a lot of time to learn since you need to vs good survivors and get perfect timing, turning, lunge etc to make some hits possible. You can't say that someone already mastered him on all maps vs high level survivors but ofc if you do then please show me any god blight who uses his power to it's completely full limit, not just spams it when it's easy/medium difficulty hit.
He might be decent but if no really good blight main players appear in next 1-2 month then I'll lose hope for him beiing decent. Right now, I can't say how good he is since no good blight players exist that I know of yet.

I haven't played as him yet only against him but he seems fun. Most of the ones I've been playing against have been quite bad but its early days. Literally launch day.
And he has a pretty unorthodox playstyle that'll probably take some time to learn.
1 -
I've had more fun with Blight than any other killer that's been released. I get he just came out and I doubt you've played enough of him, so Imma drop this for ya.
3 -
He looks really boring to play against, and that statement should be taken in the same way as a hypothetical statement of "He looks really fun to play against!"
He's a Hillbilly with power charges that has a speed limiter and a little more erratic travel path. And this is without the ability to break pallets by default, not that I would want The Blight to have that.
1 -
The thing is he has a lot counter play, as mucha s Hillbilly in fact and his power isn't rewarding at all, to me he's worse then clown or trapper, or wraith whoever you think is the worst killer. It is a huge struggle to get a hit and when you do get a hit it only deals regualr damage, this is not a good use of your time or use of your power they need to make it where when you land a hit you put them into the dieing state then I can say hes decent. In fact its wasteful, I will admit however it seems he's more to just traverse the map but that's it. There are better options then this guy if that is the case, Demogorgon, nurse, spirit, and so on, basically Blight is a worse version of legion
1 -
at least he's fun to play against, because you can counter his rush easily by 360'ing or (if it's not lethal) running towards him lol
bonus points if you stand behind a smooth surface and watch him slide straight off it instead of bumping into it

I'm not impressed with him yet either. Needs more testing on my end but it isn't looking promising. Could this be the end of the okay killers? I don't want to regret finally buying a dlc day 1.
0 -
Congrats, you had fun with him. I didnt.

Based on how much i make, a DLC is worth about 10 minutes of my time working. So, yeah i spend money on them.

I think it's a poor idea to judge a killer based on the very best players. Something I believe the dev's do as well. It's not a good way to balance your game. The reality with Blight is he plays with high risk/low reward.
0 -
I'd say it's far too early for any conclusions to be made about blight. Give it a week or two of play time and see how you feel after that. Someone like OhTofu wasn't having great luck with the killer where as Monto was doing pretty damn well. Most killers are subjective in their appeal/playstyle. Maybe blight just isn't a good fit for your playstyle?
0 -
Or because(most) streamers are good at the game even if the killer a compete lackluster?
From average killer PoV his power is a gimped Billy's chainsaw, or even worse.
0 -
Sure, that's one way to look at it. Comparing any killer to another kill can be easy though. The add-ons are where a lot a killers strength can come from (not to say that applies to every killer). The blight has some pretty good add-ons, especially since a load of them got reworked before he was released.
Also, again, some people might be good with blight where others might not be. Doesn't mean the blight is bad or unfun.

But would it be hard to make the Killer "fun" for everyone, at least for the most part of community?
