Healing Speed

How fast are you healing when you use self care, botany knowledge and desperate measures at maximum potential?

Also,in the info of self care it says you are healing at 50% of normal healing speed (16 seconds),wouldn't that be 24 seconds instead of 32?

The basic action speed formula is:

[Action Time] = [Base Action Time] / (1 + [Modifier])

So, as a simple example, let's imagine you're just running Botany Knowledge and you want to know how fast a normal heal is. As GoodBoyKaru said, the base heal time is 16s. So:

    16s / (1 + .33 ) = 12s

Now, max Desperate Measures would give you 56% faster healing. I believe you need to calculate the increases and the decreases separately with this formula in order for the numbers to work out, so let's do it.

Healing speed with just Self Care:

    16s / (1 - .5)) = 32s

Now, apply Botany and Desperate Measures:

    32s / (1 + (.56+.33)) = 17s

So, assuming my math is good, you'd be almost down to normal healing speed with both perks!

I'd recommend you check this video out from int3r4ct. It does a good job of explaining how action speed is calculated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6VvGgT8zgE
