New Flashlights suck and are a bad design, can we change them? (Picture included)

So here is the perfection position to flashlight blind. (holding the button will bring up the flashlight to blind the killer)

This is honestly ridiculous, look how high i have to look and how little of the killer can be seen. This is a CLOWN btw, so the fact i cant see any part of him when being in position is kinda silly, i cant see his animations or anything let alone trying to get this angle while running and round corners and tiles etc. can we please change it back to the original (over right shoulder).

Okay so done even more games, still clunky as hell and just off visually... flashlights use to be the one thing that i always use to be good at, could easily get multiple saves a day but now, well im kinda put off. anyone else not liking the changes?

Put your survivor on a diet.

I hope you know that that was the point. Too many people trolled with flashlights so BHVR had to do something about it.

I support this, mainly because it looks like the survivor is lazy from the killer's POV. Like, why are you shining it from your stomach if you want to hit my eyes? I also support it because ease of use should be prioritized.

I think this change has to do with all the impossible blind glitches that were happening more then anything else where you could blind a killer who wasn't even facing you.

Which mind you they have tried multiple times to fix over the course of 1-2 years so a rework to try to finally fix those glitches isn't all that surprising.

How does it hurt the Survivor more than it helps? I mean, personally for me that's true because I never have been able to use them, but when I play as the Killer, I absolutely hate going against the dang things. Doesn't seem to hinder them at all.

That's when survivors are stupid, yeah. And I don't mean to be rude, but you're implying that all survivors with flashlights gain a stupid bone in their body.

Flashlights for other uses are shown here in this video (note that dedicated servers and the blind visual changes have made niche uses such as these more impossible as the devs continue to limit flashlight usage that requires "higher skill" in some sense):

This is the only video I could find about this.

Lol are you really going to troll with that? The devs didnt have to say it. There were countless complaints about the flashlights and then suddenly they changed it. And I know personally about the trolling. And people still do it though it's harder for them now. They blind when breaking pallets, vaulting, and the most common one being as you pick up the survivor. Not during the hooking process but the second you bend over, you are blinded. People really really trolled hardcore with them and lots of killer mains complained. So BHVR did what the do best. Nerf the ######### of something.

Its not trolling to actually use the item, if i was able to flashlight save, blind you in a vault, breaking or even grabbing animation that isnt trolling. Trolling would be clicking the flashlight, this change just makes the angle and view completely stupid... why would i want to try shine a light from my crotch when i have an arm? but by your logic using a med-kit or toolbox is trolling

    Not trolling.

    Flashlight clicking is trolling.

Using the item is not. That's like saying, missing with Huntress's hatchet is trolling.
