Moris and pips

This has probably been said before but if the killer brings a mori into a game, survivors should always be safety pipping. It's fairly well known that moris break the game, but since bhvr dont seem to want to nerf/remove them there needs to be some middle ground. Its near impossible for a survivor at high ranks to win against a killer at a similar skill since moris throw the balance so far into the killer. I mainly play killer and I refuse to use moris because of how game breaking they are but when I play survivor and depip to a mori I just don't see how its fair. I'm saying this now because I'm trying to get back into rank 4 before rank reset later today so I don't have to go back to rank 9. I hardly played survivor this month so I never went back to red ranks but playing with green rank teammates can be fairly painful (no offence to you green ranks <3). I was at 4/5 pips and only had time for a game or two more and went against a michael with infinite T3 and a mori. How can I beat this? we get a few gens done then its just constant running for everyone. I think a gaurenteed safety pip would make this slightly more fair.

I have to ask this, even though I think it was made clear in the post... are you playing the way the Devs "told" you, you have to play? ie. Are you pushing for ranks/emblem progress/farming; making the types of plays they 'encourage' by rewarding pip progress; making the riskier plays, getting into chases, taunting and luring the killer, etc. etc.??

Or are you playing more stealthy, objective-based, with little focus on 'pips'; which usually results in spending very little time actually engaged with the killer directly?

Because one way is meant to be more "dangerous and (objectively) exciting" and the other is (in the Dev's opinion) boring and doesn't deserve being rewarded. If a killer is bring a mori - either A - they're just that type of person; B - They're pushing for ranks/bp/pips and want to guarantee the kills; or C - they just have so many of them they want to burn them before 'resetting'.

I guess that both KEYS and MORIS are way too OP.

It's frustrating when everyone's on death hook and they manage to all escape by the hatch, or 3 escapes with 1 gen left. Moris are also unbalanced, even more than keys. There's no counter, no DS, no anti-tunneling countermeasure.

I like these kind of discussions, but both sides must be balanced, removing or changing moris and keeping keys the state they are is not an option. Even if they come in different patches. But they've confirmed that Keys and Moris will be changed in the future. Source: Most recent Q&A.

At last, let's say that they are working on it, and even the pip system needs a new overhaul due to the current "gen rush" meta, Second chance perks on survivors, Crutch perks on killers, and the unbalance around Solo vs SWF. Let's see what they can do.

I 100% agree that keys need a nerf just as much as moris. I play both killer and survivor and while playing as killer and someone gets the hatch is annoying, its not as annoying as getting kicked from the game almost instantly by a mori. They dont give you a chance to enjoy the game. And for the playstyle comment I get what ur saying. I usually play fairly aggressively as survivor. I don't try to hide from the killer, if they find me Ill run them, but if they dont ill be doing gens. The fact is that if I run a killer, chances are they will down me eventually. Things like bloodlust make that an almost gaurentee if they commit. (not objecting to bloodlust, its a needed mechanic) Obviously some killers decide im not worth their time so they leave me after a chase but usually they commit until they catch up. This is usually fine by me. They catch me and hook me, its part of the game, but when theres a mori in play, I have to avoid that or im dead after im unhooked. I need to play stealthy or i will 100% die, just like if you are dead on hook you try to avoid another chase. Moris get rid of half the objective for the killer, while survivors dont have an offering that reduces the number of generators to be repaired. I get that keys are still in the game, but if everyone is alive then the survivors still need to finish all the gens before the hatch spawns. Keys can also be easily countered. if you see someone in the lobby with a key, put on franklins. easy as that. If you dont have frankins then just tunnel the person with the key. Thats what happens to me every time I use a key, im tunneled instantly.

Sorry about the late reply btw, not been on the forums much recently.
