How is this a linked Kate set?
So my mate links me this new cosmetic (as i am a Kate main) which is meant to be a set.
This is literally 3 separate pieces, connected at the neck and at the waist. It looks like to me that the areas that connect the body parts together are just hidden by the necklace and the apron.
I thought the whole idea behind have sets was to be more creative. This is in no way creative. This is just plain greed.
No-one asked for sets. We want separate pieces so we mix and match and have our own identity as that survivor. It's even worse when your hiding the fact that this is not even a set, as nothing about it even resembles a set.
Absolutely disgusting BHVR. The greed has gotten to your heads.

I adore this outfit. I won't but it but I love it.
That being said I'd love to see more stuff like hats etc as separate pieces for all survivors.

If greed was why they linked then from your own statement, they are ...losing...money linking. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Greed has nothing to do with it.

Greed has everything to do with it.
Classifying 3 separate pieces as an uncreative set, then selling the set for $10. Not being about to purchase a piece separately and forcing players to purchase 3 separate cosmetics at full price. Everything about that screams greed to me.
Why would they lose money? People are stupid enough to buy it, hence why they keep pumping out these so call sets.

Oh wow look ANOTHER Survivor linked set that obviously has a head that can easily be slapped onto any other Torso and work.
Looks nice though, like the flower crown.

Actually, if we're just going from Forum outrage, about 3 people would purchase it and everyone else is throwing a temper tantrum, so yeah they'd be losing money.
Don't like it, don't buy it. That's how capitalism works.

They lose money by all the people like you that would have bought pieces of it but not the whole. They haven't lost any of the people that would bu y the whole. Therefore they lose money linking sets...

3 people purchasing the set is selling 9 cosmetics, since your forced to buy all three.

I would have bought this outfit, if it wasn't a set. Since it is, I'm passing on buying it, since I can't mix and match it. And I agree, this one could easily be separate pieces.

Entitled people be like, how dare the art team for this game not spend hundreds more hours on each outfit just so i can mix and match before buying and using another outfit instead, ill show them by not buying this one but buying the other ones instead.
Gl art team keep up the good work

9 people compared to the usually 3,860
(disclaimer: all numbers are fabricated from approximate guesses)

Not entitled at all. I would like this cosmetic, unfortunately i can't buy it in 3 separate pieces so i won't buy it at all.
I don't buy sets.
Hundreds more hours? It's already in 3 pieces... And they obviously use the same Kate model for all cosmetics.

The purchase of the set is going to be a lot larger then 3 people...

I dunno, the hair in this set is quite long and would probably clip through other Kate's outfits. And the dress - well, it's a dress.

Yeah they need to remove the apron and NOT include a separating line at the waist. Then and only then would this be ok to classify as a set.
On another note, this outfit is super fugly either way.

I see two possibilities, though they are not mutually exclusive.
- Greed, simple as that.
- Too lazy to check how the pieces match with other cosmetics and deemed it easier to just link them. Counter to this is that cosmetics have clipped forever and nobody bats an eye. If the player wearing it likes it, that's all that matters.
I'd buy the head but its linked so its a no-go
I cri when i see another nea still using the head, i changed it before going to bed and it was patched that morning

Ive seen a lot beer Kate that bought this one
Never faced a Minotaur Oni though wich was so much more badass

You aren't on the art team, you wouldn't know how hard it is to connect various models to mix and match together, and yes its entitlement that you expect them to work 20 times as hard
0 -
I don't need to be on the art team to know they use the same character model for all of that characters cosmetics, not various models.
The cosmetics on said models don't matter when the model is the same. They don't need to adjust certain cosmetics for different cosmetics on the same model, and if they have to, then your probably right.
They probably are using various models and making it 20 times harder for themselves when they already can't model correctly.
There are obviously not worried about working harder since they break the game every patch due to their terrible coding.
I like this game and all, but unlike yourself, i could never speak highly of it or recommend it to anyone due to the terrible state it's always in, the consistent lying to the community, the unfinished patch notes, the sheer amount of bugs, and the greed every year.

They're not linked at the waist. The apron goes past her waist towards her belly button area. The hair for this cosmetic is quite long also. They likey want to avoid it clipping through her cowboy hat or backpack.

Minotaur Oni was, tbh, also about 500 cells more
