if you could rework the green key what effects would you change?

I'd give it a base 20 seconds of aura-reading, and the base ability to reveal the hatch's aura if you're within 12 meters while you're using it. If it can't open a hatch, it's aura-reading should be potentially worth a damn.

I'd make it able to instantly unlock 1 chest at the cost of the key. I'd also give it a different model in the player's hand, so that the killer won't be incentivized to tunnel them down in order to prevent a key escape.

That would make it some kind of item trade? Don't know, seems worthless. You bring an item to get a random item quicker. You could just put the item you want into your loadout.

More like you bring the key, use the key and its add-ons for aura reading, and then, when you need, you can quickly exchange it for a different, probably more useful item to take with you. It's a way to make green keys not useless nor OP, a way to save time on a secondary objective, and a way to leave the trial with something better.

I wish I could trade all the green keys I have for something better, but short of a full blood web rework, that ain't happening.

I would just like to see it removed from the game, and buff the Dull Key to a 10 second durability. It's a gag item when gotten out of a chest without Ace in the Hole, and the only item that the rarity drastically changes its functionality (i.e. a yellow and purple toolbox both can do the same functions).

I'd happily use green keys if they'd give them a different model to the others so we don't get tunnelled or morid for having them. Especially the purple ring add on, that's awesome for solo players.

    Sometimes, that's the secret to baiting a camp/tunnel... >:)

I'd make it so any add ons you add to it become passive, for example the gold token on a broken key would be a passive ability, essentially giving broken keys an actual use since they cannot open hatches. It would make the broken key kind of like killer add ons where they're active the whole game, which I think would give survivors some variety in their builds, there's of course the added risk by carrying a key, as killers tend to tunnel people with a key, and even use franklins, unfortunately it's unwarranted because broken keys cannot open hatches but the killer has no way in knowing that, which is why survivors don't bring them because the risk isn't worth it.

TL;DR Key add ons on a broken key would be passives.

  • I would firstly change it´s appearance so killers don´t instantly get triggered and know it´s only a broken key which can´t open the hatch.

Thoughts on KEY changes. - PLEASE READ THIS DEVS. PLEASE PURDY PLZ!! I promise to be a nicer person!!

1 ) Keys being no longer visible to the killer. If we don't see their mori card. All is fair.

2 ) Franklins demise no longer can knock the key out of the survivor's hand if they have a KEY RING.

3 ) Purple key allowing only 1 survivor through the hatch. But does NOT trigger ECG. IM sure the killers would agree on this one!

4 ) Pink key unlocks the hatch and killer can NOT re-close the hatch once it is unlocked. It stays OPEN. ECG stays on and HEX: NOED ignites any totem not cleansed on the map.

5 ) New add on for key. (ANY COLOR). An Add on which allows the key to resonate a sound which indicates a BLACK LOCK is nearby. Can be used on ANY color of key.

6 ) Any survivor CRAWLING, can still use the key. This actually makes IRL sense!

I hope people like my comment! :-)
